Fulham vs Liverpool Preview:
Possible starting lineups:
Fulham:
Rico, Odoi, Ream, Nordtveit, Bryan, McDonald, Chambers, Sessegnon, Cairney, Babel, Mitrovic
Liverpool:
Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Lallana, Salah, Firmino, Mane
Fulham are second from the bottom. They have 17 points and look almost relegated. The Cottagers, who spent over £100 million for new players during the summer transfer window, are massive 13 points adrift of safety with just eight games remaining. The actual form is bad, Fulham have suffered nine defeats on the last 10 league matches. The atmosphere in the squad is poor, while the players confidence is low. The former manager Claudio Ranieri was sacked, while Scott Parker was announced as temporary solution. So far he is unable to make some impact as Fulham lost both games with him in charge. Last weekend they lost 3:1 to Leicester City and remained in a very dangerous position. The goal for Fulham was scored by Floyd Ayite who became only the second Togolese player to score a Premier League goal, after Emmanuel Adebayor. For this match Parker will be missing three players - Alfie Mawson, Marcus Bettinelli and Andre Schurrle. Jean Seri, who did not start either of Scott Parker's first two league matches, will probably miss out again here.
The atmosphere in Liverpool's squad is excellent. The Reds have eliminated Bayern Munich to secure a place in the Champions League quarter-finals. The fans are satisfied and everybody expect another easy victory at Craven Cottage. This is an opportunity for Liverpool to climb back to the top of the Premier League as their rivals Manchester City are busy with the FA Cup this weekend. However, I don't expect an easy victory for the Merseysiders. Even more, I expect lot of issues in this match, particularly knowing the poor away form of Jurgen Klopp's men. They failed to win any of the last three league matches played on road. Worse, the Reds didn't score on the last two away matches in the Premier League. The key player Mohamed Salah has not scored on the last six matches across all competitions. Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are also quiet away from home in the top flight recently. As a result, Liverpool have lost control of top spot in the Premier League. The fans are concerned this will be another season without trophy. Klopp will surely make some changes from the side that beat Bayern Munichon Wednesday. Joel Matip, who scored an own-goal aat Allianz Arena, could be rested, while Dejan Lovren is expected to start from the first minute. Jordan Henderson is definitely sidelined after coming off in the first half against Bayern with a twisted ankle. Naby Keita is rated as doubtful, while this match comes too soon for Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain. Adam Lallana, who impressed against Burnley last weekend, could start here.
Fulham vs Liverpool Preview:
Liverpool are big favorites against relegation-candidates Fulham, however I expect a difficult match. The Reds won 3:1 in Munich and have secured quarter-finals in the Champions League, but this is a different game. The Cottagers will be fully focused on defense and Liverpool usually have a problem with such teams. The players are tired after the intensive 90 minutes against Bayern, so I expect Fulham to produce lot of issues to Klopp's team.
