Newcastle vs Liverpool Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Liverpool:
Dubravka; Krafth, Schar, Burn, Targett; Shelvey, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Almiron, Wood, Saint-Maximin

Liverpool:
Alisson; Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Henderson, Fabinho, Naby Keita; Salah, Jota, Origi

Liverpool will try to keep their fleeting hopes of a title alive when they make the journey to St James Park on Saturday lunchtime. However, the motivated Newcastle players will try to remain unbeaten in this match. They are out of the relegation battle after collecting 43 points. Usually, 40 points are enough to avoid dropping and this season will be no exception. Incredibly, the seventh place and spot in European competition is not mathematically impossible for Howe's side. Newcastle are in solid form, they have four victories in a row. The Magpies managed to beat Wolverhampton, Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Norwich. The first three wins were obtained at home, while the last victory came on road as they beat Norwich 3:0 at Carrow Road. Joelinton bagged a brace, while Bruno Guimaraes scored the third goal. What is important to be mentioned, the home form is very good. Newcastle haven't suffered a top-flight defeat in front of the home crowd in 2022, but Liverpool are the toughest opponents at the moment. Howe is still missing the long-term absentees Kieran Trippier, Callum Wilson, Jamal Lewis and Isaac Hayden, while Ryan Fraser is close to the full recovery before the end of the season. Joelinton came off with a knock at Carrow Road but should play here. Miguel Almiron, Fabian Schar and ex-Reds man Jonjo Shelvey were not part of the starting lineup against Norwich, but having had a full week to recover from that match, the trio is expected to start from the first minute.

Liverpool are in excellent form at the moment. They have 12 wins and just one draw on the last 13 matches in the Premier League. Last weekend they won 2:0 the Merseyside derby against Everton. The Toffees made Liverpool fight for their win with a well-organized and disciplined defense, but at the end it was not enough to deny the Reds. Jurgen Klopp's side demonstrated patience to finally break down Everton's stubborn resistance. The deadlock was broken after 62 minutes when left-back Andy Robertson arrived at the far post in front of the Kop to head home Mohamed Salah's cross. Robertson was also good in defense as he saved the goal later, while substitute Divock Origi tormented the neighbors once again when he headed in Luis Diaz's bicycle kick with six minutes left. Liverpool also beat Spanish side Villarreal with 2:0 in the Champions League semi-final first-leg on Wednesday. After the goalless first half, the Reds needed a touch of fortune to break the deadlock after 53 minutes when Jordan Henderson's cross was deflected beyond Villarreal keeper Geronimo Rulli by Pervis Estupinan. Sadio Mane increased Liverpool's control when he touched Mohamed Salah's pass beyond Rulli two minutes later. The second leg in Villarreal is still to come next Tuesday but Liverpool now look firmly on course to meet either Manchester City or Real Madrid in the final in Paris in May. Most of the players are ready, but Roberto Firmino is rated as doubtful with a foot injury. Curtis Jones was out of Wednesday's match due to illness.

Newcastle vs Liverpool Prediction:

Liverpool won 3:1 in the reverse fixture played at Anfield in December. I expect both teams to score again, this time at St James Park. The Reds are in fantastic form, they are easily scoring goals. But Newcastle are also playing a good football, they are in series of four wins at the moment. The players confidence is high in both squads, so I expect an interesting and efficient match.

Manchester United vs Brentford Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Manchester United:
De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Varane, Telles; Matic, McTominay; Rashford, Fernandes, Elanga; Ronaldo

Brentford:
Raya; Ajer, Jansson, Sorensen; Roerslev, Eriksen, Norgaard, Janelt, Henry; Mbeumo, Toney

Manchester United welcome Brentford to Old Trafford in the last match of the round. The Red Devils are looking for the fourth place, but their current form could be described as inconsistent. They have one win, one draw and two defeats on the last four Premier League fixtures. They suffered two painful defeats on their two visits to Liverpool. First they lost 1:0 to Everton at Goodison Park and then lost 4:0 to Liverpool at Anfield. The only victory was registered in the middle of April when United won 3:2 at home against Norwich City. Cristiano Ronaldo scored all three goals on that match. On Thursday the Red Devils shared the points with Chelsea. Once again Ronaldo found the back of the net. The Red Devils are now five points behind fourth-placed Arsenal (at the time of writing). However, their ambitions of top-four finish are far from over, despite their recent troubles. A good result in this match is not enough as they depend on the results of Arsenal and Tottenham. Rangnick has some injury issues as he will again be without the services of Edinson Cavani, Luke Shaw, Paul Pogba and Harry Maguire. Mason Greenwood remain suspended, while Jadon Sancho is rated as doubtful due to tonsillitis. Fred, who has recently been out with a hip injury, might make his return off the bench. Alejandro Garnacho made his debut against Chelsea on Thursday and could be involved again.

Brentford sit on the 14th place with 40 points, so that means they are safe. Usually, 40 points are enough to avoid relegation and this year will be no exception. However, they could collect more points in the last four matches of the season, starting from this one. Southampton, Everton and Leeds United are the last three opponents. The Bees are in solid form, they have three victories and one draw in the last four rounds. Thomas Frank's side have registered wins against Chelsea, West Ham and Watford, while shared the points with Tottenham last weekend. The match ended goalless and one thig should be mentioned - the Spurs were fully limited in attack and they failed to record a single shot on target. Brentford have actually won five of their last seven in the league. suffering just one defeat in the process. About the team news, Ethan Pinnock is the latest injury victim. He left the match against Watford with a hamstring injury and remain sidelined. Sergi Canos, Frank Onyeka and Saman Ghoddos are also out, while Mathias Jorgensen will be absent for the rest of the season due to a groin injury. Christian Eriksen has been in excellent form for Brentford in the second half of the season and his experience could be very important.

Manchester United vs Brentford Prediction:

I expect goals from both sides. Manchester United are not in best form, but they have scored on each of the last four league matches at Old Trafford. And they conceded on each of them. Brentford, meanwhile, have scored and conceded on the last five away matches. The reverse fixture back in January finished 3:1 for United.

Manchester United vs Brentford Pick:
Both teams to score - Yes @ 1.72 with Bwin

It won't be easy, but I expect both to score. :)
Ronaldo scoring saved a little of $ here, I really didn't expect they will play solid football, like... for the first time in a long while. Brentford had their chances though!
