Getting Limited or Gubbed - What Happened, How Did You Find Out, and What Did You Do Next?

I have the inverse experience of all of this.

The platform wants to keep me.

I get promotions. Reload bonuses. VIP treatment emails.

The more I lose the more they reward me.

Reading this thread: those rewards are not customer appreciation.

They're retention tools for a profitable customer relationship.

The book is managing my behavioral fingerprint too.

Just in the other direction.

princess's VIP treatment is the thing that should have a mandatory disclosure attached to it...

"you're receiving this because you've lost enough to be worth keeping"...

got those emails during bad periods...

the timing of the promotions was not accidental...

reload bonus arriving the morning after a big loss...

the book knew when i needed the excuse to go again...

The timing of the reload bonus.

That's documented. That's known. That's deliberate.

The book's model knows your loss event and delivers the retention prompt within hours.

We discuss the industry structure in this forum periodically but the morning-after reload bonus is the most concrete example of what that structure looks like in practice.

Good thread.

The restriction story started as a practical question about what happens and what you do next.

Ended somewhere that describes the whole industry's relationship with its customers.

Restrict the ones costing you money. Retain the ones making you money. Call it risk management.

The ecosystem after restriction is exchanges, Asian books, soft books in specific markets.

It works. You remain operational.

But you remain operational within a structure that has told you clearly what category it has placed you in.

The restriction as validation is real.

The validation as consolation for the structural reality is also real.

The restricted bettor has beaten the book.

The book has beaten the restricted bettor by removing access.

Both things are true simultaneously.

Neither is the full story.
