Manchester United vs Middlesbrough Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Manchester United:
De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; Matic, McTominay; Rashford, Fernandes, Elanga; Ronaldo

Middlesbrough:
Lumley; McNair, Bamba, Fry; Jones, Howson, Crooks, Tavernier, Taylor; Sporar, Balogun

Manchester United welcome Middlesbrough to Old Trafford in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday night. The Red Devils narrowly beat Aston Villa 1:0 in the previous stage of the competition. United are the second-most successful side in the history of the FA Cup, lifting the trophy on 12 occasions. But the last few seasons aren't that good. Man United were eliminated by Leicester City in the quarterfinals last season and lost to Chelsea in the semifinals in the previous season. The fans hope this time could be different as some improvement is visible since Ralf Rangnick replaced Ole Gunar Solskjaer. United are in solid form, they have three victories in the last four matches across all competitions. But everything was overshadowed by off-the-field incident as Mason Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault. The 20-year-old, who made his United debut in March 2019, signed a four-year deal in February 2021 after rising through the ranks of the academy. Greenwood has been suspended by the club and will not play in the next period. Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw are rated as doubtful, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka should be available after recovered from illness. Three players that were involved in international football - Alex Telles, Fred and Edinson Cavani - will probably start from the bench.

Middlesbrough are the former Premier League side, but now play in the Championship Division. They have never won the FA Cup, but did reach the final in 1997, suffering a 2:0 defeat to Chelsea at Wembley. They have eliminated Mansfield with 3:2 in the previous round. M'Boro raced into a 2:0 lead inside 15 minutes as Uche Ikpeazu found the top corner from 20 yards before Caolan Boyd-Munce scored the second. Mansfield rallied after the break as Oli Hawkins headed in and Rhys Oates slotted home from a tight angle. However, the favorites won the match in the stoppage time when John-Joe O'Toole could only turn Isaiah Jones' cross into his own net. Middlesbrough are in solid form, they have six wins on the last seven matches in all competitions. Most of these victories came in the Division, so Boro climbed to sixth spot and they will certainly try to secure promotion and a return to the Premier League for next season. Manager Chris Wilder is doing an excellent job and the atmosphere in the squad is very good. But Wilder has some issues ahead of this match as Riley McGree has tested positive for coronavirus while on international duty. Sammy Ameobi, Darnell Fisher and Marc Bola remain sidelined. Finally, James Lea Siliki is still on international duty with Cameroon.

Manchester United vs Middlesbrough Prediction:

I expect both teams to score. Manchester United are big favorites and they will strongly attack from the very first minute. But Boro should not be underestimated. They have nothing to lose and the players are free from the pressure. I think it is possible Middlesbrough to score too.

Manchester United – Middlesbrough
England FA Cup 20:00h (04.02.2022)

Last 3 match 2h2:
Middlesbrough 1-3 Man Utd
Man Utd 2-1 Middlesbrough
Man Utd 0-0 Middlesbrough
Last 3 match for Man Utd
Man Utd 1-0 West Ham
Brentford 1-3 Man Utd
Aston Villa 2-2 Man Utd

Man United will try to qualify for the 5th round of the FA , they welcome Middlesbrough to Old Trafford , and they outplayed Aston Villa last time , and the visitors Mansfield. Off the pitch the situation at the “red devils” is not rosy , Mason Greenwood has very serious problems , certainly not a very pleasant environment at the moment in terms of mood in the team , sometimes the external environment has a negative role , however the home team is fighting on 3 fronts and will certainly want to move forward . They also have a game in Madrid against Atletico on 23 February , but that is far down the schedule , they have lifted the trophy 12 times and last year they were knocked out by Leicester in the ¼ finals. Although underdogs , surely the visitors will be full of confidence , their form since the end of November has been great and they should not be underestimated . Boro have won 8 of their last 10 games , losing only 1 , they are in 6th position and will most likely enter the playoff cycle , yet they will be serious , rarely given the opportunity to face such a team and will do their best. The interim head coach of the home side will not be able to use the services of Pogba, Shaw , Wan-Bissaka are questionable , but he is unlikely to take any chances with starting any of the 3.. Sancho , Jadon Sancho and Victor Lindelof are out with personal problems , but Alex Telles, Fred and Edinson Cavani are back after playing for their national teams and it is not known who will be back for this game. Rashford , will take the position of young Greenwood , who is suspended from the squad , until the investigation is completed. Sammy Ameobi, Darnell Fisher and Marc Bola remain on the sidelines, while James Lea Siliki is still on international duty, but on-loan Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun is expected to make his first start for the club. Manchester United possible starting lineup: De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; Matic, McTominay; Rashford, Fernandes, Elanga; Ronaldo
Middlesbrough possible starting lineup: Lumley; McNair, Bamba, Fry; Jones, Howson, Crooks, Tavernier, Taylor; Sporar, Balogun
Quite a few problems in both lineups , of course because of the break those for the home team are much more, here a home bet is not worth it , but both teams to score , not a bad option. Boro are strong enough both on the counter and in form, that they can hurt this particular lineup of Manchester defenders, and with Ronaldo up front the home side will definitely be more dangerous. Boro’s new signing on loan from Arsenal is expected to lead the attack, and the odds are miraculous for both teams to score. I expect the home side to lead and control much of the play and time , as a standard Championship team they should do their job and play the visitors safe and corners should not be absent.
Both teams to score @2,20..
Man Utd over 6,5 corners @1,83..

Liverpool vs Cardiff City Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Liverpool:
Kelleher; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Henderson, Jones; Gordon, Firmino, Minamino

Cardiff City:
Phillips; Flint, Vaulks, McGuinness; Ng, Pack, Wintle, Bagan; Colwill, Doyle; Hugill

Liverpool welcome Cardiff City to Anfield in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday lunchtime. The Reds have eliminated lower-division side of Shrewsbury Town in the previous round. Manager Jurgen Klopp was without most of the regular players, but still won 4:1. The guests scored first and many believed there could be a surprise, though Liverpool managed to turn out the result in the next period. The impressive teenager Kaide Gordon and Fabinho secured a 2:1 lead after the first 45 minutes, while substitute Roberto Firmino's classy backheel made it 3:1. Finally, Fabinho's late second wrapped up an ultimately emphatic win. The Brazilian scored his first goals at Anfield since June 2020. Overall, the Reds are in series of three victories across all competitions. They secured a League Cup final with a 2:0 away win against Arsenal at the Emirats, while beat Brentord and Crystal Palace in the Premier League. It is important to be mentioned that Klopp was without his key strikers Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane as they were at Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. Interesting, their national teams Egypt and Senegal will play in the final, so they will miss Cardiff. Klopp is hopeful of having Salah and Mane for league fixture against Leicester City on Thursday. There are some good news as young Harvey Elliott will return after nearly five months out with severe ankle injury and Divock Origi is also ready. Thiago Alcantara is rated as doubtful. Reserve goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher will probably start here. This match comes too soon for mew signing Luis Diaz.

Cardiff City have eliminated Preston North End in the previous round of the FA Cup. The match ended with an 1:1 draw after the regular 90 minutes. Isaak Davies' first Cardiff goal gave them the lead at half-time, but Ciaron Brown's reckless challenge allowed Daniel Johnson to equalize from the penalty spot in the 54 minute. Both managers selected strong lineups for the third round clash, played behind-closed-doors due to Covid-19 regulations in Wales. At the end, substitute Mark Harris sent Cardiff into the fourth round with his winner after 116 minutes. The Welsh outfit are in solid form at the moment, winning the last two Championship fixtures against Nottingham and Barnsley. I believe boss Steve Morison is finally satisfied with back-to-back victories. I believe the atmosphere in the squad is positive, while the players confidence is higher. But Morison has some worries ahead of this match too. Defender Sean Morrison left the match with Barnsley after just eleven minutes due to injury and the 31-year-old is rated as doubtful. Two more players - Curtis Nelson and Joe Ralls - are also injury doubts. In addition, four players are cup-tied for this game - Max Watters, Cody Drameh, Alfie Doughty and Ikpeazu. It is clear the guests are very handicapped here. Ex-Arsenal player Mark McGuinness could start in the heart of defense.

Liverpool vs Cardiff City Prediction:

Liverpool are huge favorites in this match. Most of the players are well rested after 14 days without football. Klopp is still without Salah and Mane, but there are some other strikers hungry for goals, like Firmino, Jota, Minamino and Origi. I expect a high victory for the Reds. The quality is on their side, as well as the home advantage. Plus, Cardiff have lot of unavailable players.
