Switzerland vs Spain Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Switzerlanad:
Sommer; Widmer, Elvedi, Akanji, Rodriguez; Zuber, Freuler, Xhaka, Shaqiri; Gavranovic, Seferovic

Spain:
De Gea; Bellerin, Ramos, Torres, Gaya; Merino, Busquets; Oyarzabal, Torres, Asensio; Morata

The former European champions Spain travel to Basel to face off against Switzerland in UEFA Nations League. Spain are first in Group 4 with seven points, while both Germany and Ukraine have six. Switzerland are at the bottom with only two points. Vladimir Petkovic's men started the campaign with a narrow 2:1 defeat to Ukraine in Lviv. Haris Seferovic was the scorer on that match. In the second round Switzerland played an 1:1 home draw with Germany. Gundogan gave the visitors an 1:0 lead after 14 minute, but Silvan Widmer secured a point for Switzerland. A draw against Germany is always a good result, but shouldn't be overrated as Loew was missing the players from Bayern Munich. The defeat to Spain was somehow expected, but the way they conceded is hard to swallow. Mikel Oyarzabal secured an 1:0 win after big mistake from the goalkeeper Yann Sommer and Granit Xhaka. In the fourth round the Swiss national team played an entertaining 3:3 draw away to Germany. It was an excellent performance and the actual World Champions were lucky not to lose. Gavranovic scored the first and the third goal, while Freuler also found the back of the net. Overall, Petrović’s men were the better and more balanced side. They had 8 shots on target, one more than Germany, but failed to win and finished the game with 10 men after Schar saw a red card in the finish. He won't play here through suspension, while Nice defender Jordan Lotomba is in isolation after was tested tested positive for COVID-19.

Spain started the Nations League campaign with a 1:1 draw against Germany. Jose Gaya rescued a point on that match thanks to the 95th-minute equalizer. The Red Fury maybe deserved more as Leeds striker Rodrigo missed two excellent opportunities previously, however, they should be happy with escaping defeat. In the second match Spain destroyed Ukraine with 4:0. Ansu Fati, who enjoyed the first start for the national team, became the Spain's youngest ever goalscorer with 17 years. Luis Enrique's men then beat exactly Switzerland with 1:0. As I wrote above, Oyarzabal scored the lone goal after big mistake from the goalkeeper Sommer and Xhaka. In the last round Spain lost 1:0 in Kiev. Ukraine took the lead in the 76th minute when Viktor Tsygankov scored the winning goal. Spain control the ball in the first half and practically monopolized possession, nearly going ahead with a Sergio Ramos free kick. Ansu Fati also missed a big chance, Rodri hit the post in the second half and Mikel Oyarzabal was thwarted by the outstanding Ukraine goalkeeper Georgiy Bushchan, who was making only his third appearance for his country after three other keepers tested positive for the Covid-19. On Wednesday Spain played a friendly match with Netherlands. The result wasn't important at all, but something else is - defender Jose Gaya suffered a head injury after a clash with Hateboer in the first half and he is rated as doubtful.

Switzerland vs Spain Prediction:

Switzerland will relegate to Pot B in case of defeat as they trail Ukraine and Germany by four points. The Swiss players have a difficult job, but I am sure they will try. Spain will also go for the victory, so I expect an open and efficient match at St. Jakob-Park. At least three goals should be scored.

Switzerland vs Spain Pick

Belgium vs England Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Belgium:
Courtois; Alderweireld, Denayer, Boyata; Meunier, Tielemans, Witsel, T. Hazard; De Bruyne, Mertens; Lukaku

England:
Pickford; Walker, Keane, Dier; Trippier, Henderson, Rice, Chilwell; Sterling, Sancho; Harry Kane

Belgium welcome England in Brussels in UEFA Nations League Group 2 of Pot A. The hosts are first with nine points, while England are sharing the second position with Denmark as both sides have seven points. Belgium started the campaign very good, with two wins. In the first clash they managed to beat Denmark. Jason Denayer and Dries Mertens secured a 2:0 win in Copenhagen. In the second round they demolished Iceland with 5:1. Michy Batshuayi scored a brace, while Axel Witsel, Dries Mertens and Jeremy Doku also put their names on the scoring sheet. However, the series came to the end when Belgium visited Wembley in the third round. The Red Devils took an early lead when Romelu Lukaku sent Pickford the wrong way after the striker had been brought down by Eric Dier's poor challenge. England were inferior for most of the first half but equalized six minutes before half-time when Marcus Rashford converted a penalty. In the second half Gareth Southgate's players enjoyed much more possession and took the lead after 64 minutes when Mason Mount scored the winning goal. It was Belgium's first defeat since November 2018. But they came back to the winning way very soon, just three days later as they beat Iceland with 2:1. Romelu Lukaku scored both goals to secure another victory for his national team. On Thursday Belgium won 2:1 in a friendly match against Switzerland. Batshuayi's double is unlikely to keep him a starting place with Lukaku available. Eden Hazard is out of this match and it is a handicap for coach Martinez, as well as the absence of Yannick Carrasco.

England are two points behind Belgium and must get a positive result here to stay competitive for the first place in the group. They started with a narrow 1:0 victory against Iceland in Reykjavik thanks to late penalty converted by Raheem Sterling. In the second round England shared the points with Denmark. It was a poor encounter without many chances on both sides that ended with a goalless draw. Southgate's men had just two shots on target, their fewest since October 2018. Nevertheless, they were much better in the next game. England took advantage from the home ground and beat Belgium with 2:1 at Wembley. As I wrote above, Belgium took an early lead when Romelu Lukaku scored from penalty, but England turned out the result through Marcus Rashford and Mason Mount. But just three days later England were surprised by Denmark in London, losing the match in a disappointing way. Harry Maguire suffered a 31-minute nightmare, shown a yellow card for a reckless early challenge on Yussuf Poulsen and then dismissed by referee after he brought down Kasper Dolberg trying to retrieve his own poor touch. Four minutes later the former Tottenham star Christian Eriksen scored his 34th goal for Denmark and secured a narrow 1:0 win. To be worse, defender Reece James was shown a red card after the final whistle for confronting the referee. They are both suspended for this match and that's a big handicap. But Southgate's defensive issues are even bigger. Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold are both sidelined, while Conor Coady is in isolation after coming into contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19. In addition, Rashford is rated as doubtful.

Belgium vs England Preview:

Belgium are very strong at the moment and I believe they are able to win. But the key reason for my pick is the situation in England squad. Southgate will be missing both first-choice centre-backs Harry Maguire and Joe Goez. Furthermore, Reece James, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Conor Coady are also sidelined. It is clear the guests are very handicapped.

Belgium vs England Pick: Belgium to win @ 2.41 with Pinnacle

Denmark vs Iceland Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Denmark:
Schmeichel; Wass, Kjaer, Christensen, Maehle; Jensen, Delaney; Poulsen, Eriksen, Braithwaite; Dolberg

Iceland:
Halldorsson; Palsson, Arnason, R. Sigurdsson, Magnusson; Gudmundsson, Traustason, Skulason, Sigurjonsson; G. Sigurdsson; Sigthorsson

Denmark take on Iceland in a UEFA Nations League fixture this weekend, looking for a victory that could see them climbing on the table. Of course, many depend on the outcome of the match between Belgium and England. Denmark have been in excellent form and are huge favorites to win this encounter. The start of the campaign was poor, they lost 2:0 to Belgium in the first game of the group, while played a goalless draw with England in the second. As You could see, they failed to score a single goal in the first two rounds. Even worse, they created quite a few chances for 180 minutes. But October was much more successful. Denmark managed to obtain two straight victories. First they beat Iceland with 3:0. It was a dominant display by the Danes who had almost 70% possession and 16 shots in total. An own-goal by Runar Mar Sigurjonsson gave the visitors a first-half lead, while a superb strike by Christian Eriksen in the 46th minute doubled the advantage. Robert Skov secured a deserved victory in the 61st minute with a brilliant right-foot shot into the top corner. Three days later Denmark conquered England, winning 1:0 thanks to the first-half goal scored by the former Tottenham star Christian Eriksen. It was his 34th goal for the national team. Coach Kasper Hjulmand registered his first competitive victories and that will give him confidence. The victory over Sweden in a friendly game this week is also important for the players confidence, but the match against Iceland is crucial for their ambitions. Three points from this game will definitely put the Danes in position to fight for the first place in the last round when they face Belgium. Hjulmand has three players unavailable for this match. Robert Skov and Lukas Lerager are injured, while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is suspended due to accumulated yellow cards.

Iceland are the worst side in the group. In fact, they are the worst side in whole Pot A. Sweden are the only other national team without a single point, so far, but have better goal difference. Iceland have struggled terribly so far. They were not bad against England in the first round, though narrowly lost when Raheem Sterling converted a late penalty. In the second round they were humiliated by Belgium, losing 5:1 in Brussels. The third defeat came against the Danes who won 3:0 in Reykjavik, while in the last match suffered a 2:1 home defeat to Belgium. Nevertheless, the most painful defeat came on Thursday. Iceland were facing Hungary in the play-off match for the upcoming European Championship. Everton's Gylfi Sigurdsson was set to be the hero for Iceland after scored from free-kick, even it was a big mistake by goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi. The Scandinavians had the advantage until the 88th minute, but then allowed two easy goals and suffered an elimination. The atmosphere in the squad is poor at the moment and it will be very hard for coach Erik Hamren to motivate his men. He's expected to make some changes from the team that lost in Budapest and Arnor Ingvi Traustason, Ari Freyr Skulason and Runar Mar Sigurjonsson could all come into the starting eleven. if something could be rated as positive, that's the fact Hamren has no injury or suspension worries.

Denmark vs Iceland Prediction:

I expect Denmark to win the Scandinavian derby. Even more, I think they will win with at least two goals. The Danes are in excellent form, winning the last three matches. One of these three victories came in Reykjavik, in a match that finished 3:0. Iceland, meanwhile, have suffered a painful defeat in Budapest just three days ago. The atmosphere in the squad is poor at the moment and that's the main reason for my pick.
