Paris Saint-Germain host Manchester United at Parc des Princes in the second leg of Last-16 tie. The French champions are very close to the next stage having two-goal advantage from Old Trafford. Presnel Kimpembe and Kylian Mbappe were the scorers in the first match. However, the Red Devils won't give up until the last whistle. Thomas Tuchel is well aware about that and I am sure he will ask the maximum from his players. After all, this could be the crucial match for him. The title in domestic Ligue 1 will not satisfy the fans and the season will be judged on how far his side progress in Europe. The actual form is good, Tuchel's men are in series of eight victories across all competitions. They managed to beat Bordeaux, St Etienne, Montpellier, Nimes and Caen in Ligue 1, Manchester United in the Champions League, as well as Villefranche and Dijon in the cup. I believe the atmosphere in the squad is positive, while the players confidence is high. Tuchel is still without key players Neymar and Cavani due to injuries, but Mbappe is doing well in their absence. He like to play against British clubs scoring in six of his seven Champions League appearances.
Manchester United play very good since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho in December. The positive series continued this weekend with a dramatic 3:2 victory over Southampton. Andreas Pereira was the key name on that match/ He scored his first Premier League goal and provided an assist. He became the first Brazilian to score and assist in a league match for Manchester United since Anderson in May 2011 against Blackpool. Romelu Lukaku should also be mentioned as he scored a brace. The atmosphere in the squad is good, but Solskjaer has lot of injury and suspension worries ahead of this match. Paul Pogba is suspended for the trip to his homeland due to accumulated yellow cards. With Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic out due to injury, Scott McTominay, Fred and Andreas Pereira will all be in contention for a place in midfield. Alexis Sanchez will also miss the match after he picked up a knee injury during the narrow win against Southampton. Anthony Martial, who suffered a hamstring injury against Liverpool, is also sidelined. Juan Mata has already suggested in his weekly blog that he will not feature in Paris, while Jesse Lingard is also set to remain sidelined. On the positive note, Marcus Rashford has recovered from an ankle injury and played almost the whole 90 minutes against Southampton on Saturday.
Paris Saint-Germain vs Manchester United Prediction:
I expect an open and efficient match at Parc des Princes. Manchester United need a victory and they must attack. PSG will have lot of space, and that's exactly what Mbappe and Di Maria like. I think there will be at least three goals.
