VILLARREAL - ESPANYOL: PREDICTIONS

Villrreal have been like a breath of fresh air in La Liga and have had a terrific start to the season. Playing attacking football with a never say die attitude has meant they open up with 3 wins and 2 draws to remain unbeaten. They have won at Almeria and Osasuna as well as at home to Valladolid. An away draw at Celta plus a fantastic 2-2 home draw with Real Madrid. In a game that Villarreal deserved to win only for keeper Diego Lopez to pull off save after save. Midfielder Farinos is the only absentee but is yet to feature.

Espanyol have had a carbon copy start to the season as Villarreal. Three wins (Valencia, Granada and Bilbao) plus two draws (Betis and Vigo) mean they sit on 11 points alongside todays rivals in 4th spot. Espanyol struggled last year but early signs are very encouraging indeed. Only player missing for the Catalans is Victor Alverez, however the defender has yet to start a match.

VILLARREAL - ESPANYOL: BETTING TIPS

A very good game here at El Madrigal as two form sides collide. The odds were a little suprising for me as I never had Villarreal so short. 1.66 on Villarreal is plenty short for me and I could not back them at that price. The visitors have been equally as impressive and from a value perspective are great odds with Bet365 for Espanyol +1 (We get paid on an Espanyol win or draw, plus cash back on a 1 goal loss) The best bet for me here though is both teams to score. Both sides have scored near to 2 goals a game so far and with both sides preferring attack over defence Bet365 Both Teams To Score at 1.83 looks value.

Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid Prediction and Betting Tips

This weekend’s fixtures in La Liga sees one of the most anticipated games in Spain, the Madrid derby and we have got La Liga betting tips.

This game always has fire and like every other derby gives the supporters the bragging rights for the next six months or so until the next fixture.

Both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have been in inspiring form in their last five going unbeaten which makes this game ever more so exciting for the neutral.

Real Madrid will be hosting their local rivals this weekend and hoping to continue their goal scoring form after hitting six in their last two games. The current form of Real will test any teams defence and for the home side it will be an even bigger test simply due to the lack of clean sheets they’ve managed to keep over the recent weeks, only one in their last five.

Gareth Bale is yet to make his home debut for Real Madrid after getting injured during warm-ups for the Spanish league match against Getafe. Bale was originally in Madrid's starting line-up but was removed from the squad after Madrid's medical staff was seen checking out a thigh problem.

Madrid didn't miss him as Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals in a 4-1 rout, Head Coach Carlo Ancelotti said after the win that Bale's injury didn't appear to be serious and that he would undergo tests but will remain in contention for Saturday's crush match.

If Bale is to prove his fitness he will have a great opportunity to get the fans behind him and mark himself in the history books if he displays his form which was present throughout last season’s Premier League. Bale to score first is a best price 11/2 with Boylesports.

Atletico's biggest threat comes in the form of former Barcelona star David Villa, who is without doubt is one of the games most technically gifted centre forwards, who simply knows where the net is.

Although some might say his best years are behind him, he has looked in impressive form ever since signing for Atletico. Villa Scored in his debut in the Spanish Super Cup against his former side Barcelona. Since netting in his debut Villa hasn't looked back although it's extremely early in his Atletico career he is averaging one goal every two games and Pepe, Ramos and co will have trouble keeping tabs on such a strong attacking side, if you think they can Real Madrid to keep a clean sheet is 19/10 with Sky Bet.

In La Liga Real Madrid have an unbelievable record against their local rivals going unbeaten for over ten years! The sides have met twenty two times in those years and Real showing their dominance by winning on seventeen occasions. There may be light at the end of the tunnel for the away side though with them knowing a win is possible after their most recent game resulted in a victory after extra time winning the Copa del Rey in the process 2-1. A repeat of that scoreline is an 18/1 shot with Bet Victor.
