Roma welcome the newly promoted Frosinone to Stadio Olimpico on Sunday night. The Giallorossi are in big crisis after a midweek painful defeat to Genoa. They have collect just 5 points from the first six rounds and that's their worst start in the last 33 years. The fans are disappointed and some of them are asking for changes. Coach Jose Mourinho looks unable to change something, however the club officials are still supporting him. Mourinho guided Roma to back-to-back European finals, winning the Europa Conference League in 2022 and losing to Sevilla in the Europa League final earlier this year. Nevertheless, this season is catastrophic, Roma have just one win from their opening six league matches and they are just two points from the relegation zone. To be worse, they looked very bad in Genoa. It was very hard for the fans to swallow the high defeat. That is why the match with Frosinone is extremely important. But Mourinho must find a way to restore the players confidence. The injury situation is also a problem, Spanish centre-back Diego Llorente sustained an injury against Genoa and probably won't play here. With Chris Smalling and Marash Kumbulla already sidelined, the heart of defense is a big problem for the Portuguese coach.

As I've already wrote above, Frosinone are newcomers in Serie A. However, the start of the season was solid and they are sitting 8th on the table with 9 points. The Gialloblu lost to the reigning champions Napoli in the first round, but that's the only defeat so far. Frosinone managed to beat Atalanta and Sassuolo, while shared the points with Udinese, Salernitana and Fiorentina. Current manager Eusebio Di Francesco, who replaced the promotion-winning coach Fabio Grosso during the summer, will return to Stadio Olimpico with only one wish - to continue the unbeaten series. The atmosphere in the squad is good, while the players confidence is high. Roma are in big crisis and this is an ideal opportunity. But the history is on Roma side, the Capital outfit have won all four of their previous top-tier matches against Frosinone, with an aggregate score of 12:3. Di Francesco has an additional issues as four players are struggling with injury. Abdou Harroui and Francesco Gelli are definitely out, while Kaio Jorge and Pol Lirola are both rated as doubtful. At the end I will mention the Argentinian striker Matias Soule. He become the youngest player to have both scored and provided an assist in Serie A this season. Together with Walid Cheddira, the duo is able to upset Roma defense.

Roma vs Frosinone Prediction:

Roma have no space for calculations, the fans are furious. Mourinho is under enormous pressure, as well as the players. Roma will attack from the very first whistle, no doubt about that. But that will leave lot of space for Frosinone fast counterattacks. Considering this fact, I believe there will be at least three goals at Olimpico.
