Aston Villa

They have made great progress this season, which we can see from their defensive, with only 1.08 conceding goals in average of this season so far. But it seems that they are not in form now, suffering a 1-0 defeat from Sheffield United in last game.

Wolves

They have been winless for two matches, causing them in low morale. Now they are the twelfth in the table of the League with 34 points, far away from top five. And Wolves lose to Manchester City at 1-4 in last game.

Verdict:

Both of them are in poor state in recent games. Although Aston Villa have home advantage, they are weak in host game with about 30% winning percentage. So the result of the game is suggested to be a draw.

Manchester City welcome Manchester United at the Etihad in the Premier League's derby. It is first against second, although the hosts have big 14-point lead over their city rivals. However, this is derby, a derby with big tradition. The first meeting between the two teams occurred on 12 November 1881, when West Gorton - who would later become Manchester City - hosted Newton Heath - who would later become Manchester United. The game finished 3:0 in favor of the Heathens (United). At that time, the clubs were just two of many fledgling sides in the Manchester area, and the fixture had no special significance. The first league meeting between the teams came in the season 1894/95 season, when Manchester City lost 2:5 at Hyde Road. The first meeting between the clubs to take place at the highest level of English football occurred in December 1906, a 3:0 City win in a First Division match.

As of 6 January 2021, there have been 184 competitive meetings between the teams. United have won 76 and City 55, the remaining 53 games finishing as draws. City won the last fixture played this season in EFL Cup at Old Trafford. John Stones and Fernandinho secured a 2:0 win as City deservedly progressed to the Carabao Cup final. Here are some interesting facts about the derby. The biggest victories have been to City who have won 6:1 on two occasions in the official league (both times in the away fixture at Old Trafford) on 23 January 1926 and 23 October 2011. You probably remember the last one. But on 14 April 1941 during a war league derby match at Maine Rd, United beat City 7:1, which remains the biggest victory between the two sides overall. However, this result has been omitted as the official league was suspended due to the war situation. The largest attendance for a Manchester derby was 78,000 on 20 September 1947, a time when both clubs were playing at Maine Road, as Old Trafford was being repaired following damage sustained in the Second World War.

The home players are heading into the derby full of confidence. Manchester City are in series of 21 victories in all competitions. In addition, they are unbeaten on the last 28 games. The atmosphere in the squad is perfect, while the players confidence is "High as Everest". Guardiola's men are going well in the domestic cups too. They are in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and will play the League Cup final against Tottenham. But Pep's most wanted trophy is the Champions League. The Citizens are in good position to reach the quarter-finals after they beat the German side Borussia M'Gladbach with 2:0 in the first-leg match. According to many pundits, Manchester City are on the way to become the first club to complete the quadruple. Guardiola has the majority of his players available for this match. He also said that defender Nathan Ake returned to full training, but it remains to be seen whether he’ll be fit enough to be included in the squad. Some changes are expected, even there was enough time between the matches. Gabriel Jesus scored twice against Wolverhampton in midweek, but that don't guarantee him a place in the starting eleven. Most probably Mahrez, Sterling and Foden will lead the line.

Manchester United are playing a solid season. They are on the second place and manager Ole Gunar Solskjaer could be satisfied. The actual form isn't bad, they are in series of seven matches without a defeat in the Premier League. The problem is that five of these seven games finished with draw. United failed to beat Crystal Palace in midweek, playing a goalless draw at Selhurst Park. The matches against so-called "small teams" are Solskjaer's biggest problem. Obviously he can not find a key for defensive oriented teams. However, that shouldn't be a problem here. The Norwegian coach has some injury worries ahead of the derby. Six players are struggling with injury, with Paul Pogba, Phil Jones and Juan Mata definitely sidelined. Three more are rated as doubtful - Anthony Martial, Victor Lindelof and Donny van de Beek. First-choice goalkeeper David de Gea missed the last match due to personal reasons. He has reportedly returned to Spain for the birth of his first child. That shouldn't be a big problem as Dean Henderson is also a solid keeper.

Manchester City vs Manchester United Prediction:

I expect a tight match here. Manchester City are on a relentless winning streak, they have 21 victories in a row. But United are in solid form, they are unbeaten on the last seven matches in the Premier League. The defense looks very good, United kept clean sheet on the last two matches. Considering these facts, I expect less than three goals at Etihad. In case of exactly three goals, Your stake will return.

Liverpool vs Fulham Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Liverpool:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Fabinho, Robertson; Thiago, Wijnaldum, Jones; Salah, Mane, Jota

Fulham:
Areola; Aina, Andersen, Adarabioyo, Robinson; Reed, Anguissa; Cavaleiro, Loftus-Cheek, Lookman; Maja

Liverpool should be consider as absolute favorites against the relegation-threatened Fulham. Even more as the match will be played at Anfield. But right now the Reds are not favorites against any side. On Thursday night Liverpool have suffered another home defeat when lost 1:0 to Chelsea. The reigning champions are in big crisis, they have five defeats on the last six matches in the Premier League. Worst of all, four of these five defeats came at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp's men have suffered home defeats to Brighton, Manchester City, Everton and Chelsea. Anfield is not a fortress anymore, the Reds haven't won a home fixture since mid-December. The last match opened some additional issues. Mohamed Salah was unhappy when Klopp subbed him off in the 62nd minute. Shortly after he went off, the player’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa posted a very strange tweet - just a full stop. Several reports have suggested Salah wants to leave Liverpool at the end of the season. And the Egyptian winger admitted in January 'he doesn't know' what his future holds. He added that he would like to play for Real or Barcelona. The 28-year-old is tied to a contract at Anfield through to the summer of 2023, but flirting with two Spanish Giants is a clear sign about his future. However, the next period will be crucial for the club and the players. Liverpool are four points away from the fourth place and this is a must-win situation. Klopp is still missing the key defenders Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip. They are all long-term injury victims. But that's not all as January signing Ozan Kabak is the latest to pick up an injury. It is unlikely that the Turkish international will recover in time to feature in this match. Nat Phillips, who missed the last match with a slight lower back problem, could recover in time for this one. Captain Jordan Henderson is unavailable for at least two months after had a knee surgery.

Fulham have 23 points after 27 rounds and they are in the drop zone. It is clear they need more good results to avoid the relegation. The actual form isn't too bad, they have one win, one draw and one defeat on the last three league matches. The Cottagers managed to beat Sheffield United with 1:0, then played a goalless draw with Crystal Palace, while suffered a narrow 1:0 defeat to Tottenham in the last round. Playing against London rivals isn't what they like - they are without a win in 22 Premier League London derbies and have failed to score in each of their past four. Josh Maja was the man controversially disallowed the equalizer in the match against the Spurs. The very next day, the global lawmakers IFAB changed the handball law, but that come too late for Fulham. The home form is poor, they have failed to score in eight home Premier League games this season - the joint most of any side. But playing on road is a different story - the Cottagers are enjoying their longest ever top-flight unbeaten away record of seven games. They won't give up against wounded Liverpool at Anfield. Few rounds ago they surprised another Liverpool opposition, winning 2:0 against Everton at Goodison Park. It is clear their recent displays are good. They are defensively solid, conceding just two goals in six games, and comfortable in possession, but they remain profligate in attack. Scott Parker's men failed to score on the last two matches. Anyway, they have decent chance of avoiding relegation following their unbeaten run. Just to mention, Fulham were 10 points adrift of 17th-placed Newcastle only 19 days ago. The situation could easily go both ways as they should face the reigning champions first, and then the new champions Manchester City. The atmosphere in the squad is good, particularly after the last positive results. Parker has most of his players available, only Marek Rodak and Tom Cairney remain sidelined.

Liverpool vs Fulham Prediction:

Liverpool will go for the victory, but they are out of form. The Reds have five defeats on the last six matches in the Premier League. The atmosphere in the squad is far from desired, while Salah's motivation is questionable at the moment. Anfield have transformed from a fortress to a fertile hunting ground for visiting teams. I am not sure if Fulham will win, but I think they are able to cover the handicap, meaning they won't lose high.

Chelsea vs Everton Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Chelsea:
Mendy; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger; James, Kante, Jorginho, Alonso; Mount, Giroud, Werner

Everton:
Pickford; Holgate, Godfrey, Keane, Digne; Doucoure, Allan, Davies; Sigurdsson; Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison

Chelsea welcome Everton at Stamford Bridge in the direct battle for Europa. Chelsea are fourth with 47 points, while Everton have 46. However, the Toffees have a match in hand, meaning the situation could turn in their favour. The Blues are in solid form at the moment. New manager Thomas Tuchel is doing an excellent job. Chelsea have won five and drawn three of the eight league matches under his guidance. The Blues have shared the points with Wolverhampton, Southampton and Manchester United, while beat have beat Burnley, Tottenham, Sheffield United, Newcastle and Liverpool in the last round. Mason Mount scored the winning goal at Anfield in the 42nd minute. That was his third goal in eight Premier League appearances under Tuchel this season. Overall, Mount has scored 12 and assisted eight goals in the Premier League for Chelsea. At 22 years and 53 days, he is the second-youngest player to reach 20 goals and assists for the club in the competition after Arjen Robben who had 21 years 337 days. As You could count, Chelsea have collect 18 points under the German coach. Tuchel is doing an excellent job and the fans are satisfied, as well as owner Roman Abramovich. Manchester City are the only team that have picked up more points in the mentioned period. The Blues also beat Atletico Madrid 1:0 as guests in the Champions League and the quarter-finals look very close. I believe the players confidence is much higher after the last results. Tuchel has the majority of first-team players ready for this match. The defender Thiago Silva has recovered from a thigh injury and could start here. Tammy Abraham is rated as doubtful with an ankle problem. Some changes are expected, with Olivier Giroud, Christian Pulisic, Mateo Kovacic and Kai Havertz pushing for a place in the starting eleven.

Everton have 46 points and sit on the fifth place. They could climb to the fourth position in case of victory here. The actual form is good, they won the last three league games. The reigning champions were between the victims. For the first time in the Premier League history, Everton beat Liverpool at Anfield and won the Merseyside derby. Richarlison and substitute Gylfi Sigurdsson scored the goals against the Reds. The players confidence raised after that and Everton registered two more victories. They beat Southampton with 1:0 thanks to the early goal from Richarlison, while in the last round beat West Bromwich. Once again Everton won 1:0 and once again it was Richarlison who scored the lone goal. After the match, Ancelotti admitted he is "dreaming" of Champions League. Indeed, Everton have never played in the group stage of the Champions League, missing out in 2005/06 after a 4:2 aggregate defeat to La Liga outfit Villarreal in the third qualifying round. However, with 12 rounds to go, the Toffees have a unique chance to be playing alongside the European elite next season. Just to mention, they were in the Premier League relegation zone under Marco Silva in December 2019, before he was sacked. And Ancelotti managed to transform them from average team to the Champions League pretenders. The Italian tactician has lot of injury worries ahead of this match. Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph and Jean-Philippe Gbamin are definitely sidelined, while four additional players are rated as doubtful - Seamus Coleman, Tom Davies, James Rodriguez and Robin Olsen. Richarlison, who scored in each of his last four appearances, is expecting to lead the line, together with Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Chelsea vs Everton Prediction:

This is a derby, both teams are looking for Champions League spots. And both teams are in good form. However, I think this will be a low scoring game. Chelsea played Under 2.5 on all but one game under Tuchel. Everton are in similar mood, they played Under 2.5 on the last three league games. Nobody want to lose this match, so I expect a careful approach from both coaches. And home and away results of both teams are supporting my pick - Chelsea still haven't conceded a home goal in four games under Tuchel, while Everton kept clean sheet on the last three league games, with two of these three coming away from home.
