The fifth-placed Roma will welcome the league leaders Inter to Stadio Olimpico on Saturday evening. The Giallorossi are in excellent form, three victories on the last three matches since Daniele de Rossi took the team. As You probably know, the American owners - Friedkin brothers - decided to sack coach Jose Mourinho after the poor results this season. De Rossi is well known among the fans as he played 616 times for the club during his impressive playing career. The fans support him, even the players have nice words and positive experience. Obviously, that made Mourinho "jealous" and he left a ring given to him by the Roma squad after their Conference League victory inside Lorenzo Pellegrini’s locker at their Trigoria training ground. The Portuguese coach allegedly felt betrayed by the players, something that I think wrong. However, De Rossi started very good, and the atmosphere in the squad is positive. He has the majority of his players available, but Evan Ndicka and Sardar Azmoun are on international duty, while Tammy Abraham and Chris Smalling are long-term injury victims.
Inter are first on the table with four-point advantage to the second-placed Juventus. The actual form is good, they have 8 victories and one draw on the last 9 matches in Serie A. Inter already won the first trophy this season, the Supercoppa in Saudi Arabia. The atmosphere in the squad is excellent, while the players confidence is very high. Last weekend they beat Juventus 1:0. Inter have strengthened its status as the leaders of the table and continues to move systematically towards the next Scudetto. Simone Inzaghi's men are the biggest favorites for the title. Inter go to Olimpico in an optimal composition and in a great mood after beating the main opponents. The Nerazzurri have found the back of the net in all of their 22 top-flight fixtures this season. Coach Simone Inzaghi is doing a fantastic job and the fans love him. He has almost a fully fit squad to choose from, only two players are ruled out - Juan Cuadrado and Davide Frattesi. Lautaro Martinez should lead the line together with Marcus Thuram.
Roma vs Inter Prediction:
Roma are in excellent form, they play much better since Daniele de Rossi took the team. He lead the team three times and the results are impressive - Roma beat Hellas Verona, Salernitana and Cagliari. They will try to continue the winning series, though it won't be simple. Inter are in series of six victories across all competitions and I think they will win. The quality is on their side.
