Fiorentina vs Spezia Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Fiorentina:
Dragowski; Milenkovic, Pezzella, Martinez Quarta; Caceres, Amrabat, Pulgar, Castrovilli, Biraghi; Eysseric, Vlahovic

Spezia:
Provedel; Vignali, Ismajli, Chabot, Marchizza; Estevez, Ricci, Maggiore; Gyasi, Agudelo, Saponara

Fiorentina host the last week surprise package Spezia on Friday evening. As You probably know, the Ligurian side beat the leaders AC Milan with 2:0 last weekend. It is hard to say who's the favorites in this match, both teams will look for the victory. Fiorentina are on the 16th place, just two positions away from the drop zone. Nevertheless, they have seven points more than 18th-placed Cagliari and the situation isn't critical. But at the same time there is no space for any relaxation as few bad results could complicate the matters. The actual form is poor, they are in series of two defeats. The Viola first suffered a home defeat to Inter, while last weekend lost 2:1 to Sampdoria in Genoa. Defender Nikola Milenkovic missed a gilt-edged chance in the finish of the match to escape the defeat and Fiorentina bad form on the road continued. But that's not important now as Fiorentina will play this match at Artemio Franchi. The great majority of their points were earned at home (16 out of 22 so far), so they could be rated as favorites in this fixture. Coach Cesare Prandelli is feeling some pressure and need three points from this match. The club have won only four and lost eight matches during his second spell. It is clear where the problem is - Fiorentina have scored only 22 goals, the second-worst record in the league after Parma. Serbian attacker Dusan Vlahovic is the leading scorer with eight goals. The 21-year-old striker is expected to lead the line. Veteran forward Franck Ribery is still struggling with a muscular injury and he is rated as doubtful. Sofyan Amrabat returns from suspension to compete with Giacomo Bonaventura and Gaetano Castrovilli for a place in La Viola's midfield trio, alongside Erick Pulgar. There is a battle in attack too as Valentin Eysseric, Christian Kouame and Aleksanr Kokorin are in direct competition to partner Dusan Vlahovic.

As I already wrote above, Spezia made a huge surprise last week when they beat AC Milan with 2:0 at the Alberto Picco where they had only picked up four points in the campaign. La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote Spezia 'gave a lesson' to Milan who were unable to create dangerous attacking actions and react. The likes of Hakan Calhanoglu, Alexis Saelemaekers and Ismael Bennacer were picked as the worst Rossoneri on the pitch. Kevin Agudeo, on the other hand, was named as 'Player of the Match' by La Gazzetta and Il Corriere dello Sport. The performance of the Colombian midfielder was “insane”, according to the newspapers. Giulio Maggiore scored the first goal, while Simone Bastoni - another product of the Spezia youth academy - scored the second. By the way, Maggiore admitted he is an Inter fan. Spezia are currently sharing the 12th place with Bologna, Udinese and Benevento. All four sides have 24 points and they should stay out of the relegation battle. Spezia are the pleasant surprise as the Ligurian club were between the main candidates to return to Serie B. Their inexperience and the fact their wage bill is the current lowest of all Serie A sides, were between the reasons for such expectations. In addition, coach Vincenzo Italiano has only two previous seasons of experience to his name in the professional ranks prior to this one, the most notable being at Trapani. Nevertheless, Spezia obtained some good results, like the victories over Napoli, Sassuolo and the most recent against Milan. But coach Italiano has big issues ahead of this match. He will be without some important defenders - Martin Erlic and Simone Bastoni are suspended due to accumulated yellow cards. Furthermore, Salva Ferrer and Claudio Terzi are out injured, so defensive problems are very big.

Fiorentina vs Spezia Prediction:

Spezia were in the focus last week after the heroic 2:0 win over Scudetto pretenders Milan. However, I think they will suffer at Artemio Franchi. The key reason for my pick is connect with Spezia. Coach Italiano has big defensive issues as Martin Erlic and Simone Bastoni are suspended, while Salva Ferrer and Claudio Terzi are injured. Fiorentina are solid team with experienced coach and should take advantage from Spezia issues.

Fiorentina vs Spezia Pick: Fiorentina to win @ 1.99 with SBOBET

Sassuolo

They play well as traveller, having 50% winning percentage in away game this season. But they play poorly in host game, which have been winless for three matches. Even if they meet newly-promoted Spezia in last game, they suffer a 1-2 defeat.

Bologna

They rank the thirteenth in the table of the League with 24 points. They are weak in away game, getting 2W-3D-6L. In last away game, they get a 3-0 clean sheet from Parma, which inspires them a lot.

Verdict:

Sassuolo get 3W-2D-5L from Bologna. The Asian handicap first odd is Sassuolo -0.25, high return. It is predicted that Bologna will take one point from Sassuolo in the upcoming game at least.

Sassuolo VS Bologna

Pick: Sassuolo -0.25

AC Milan vs Inter Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

AC Milan:
Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic

Inter:
Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Hakimi, Barella, Brozovic, Eriksen, Perisic; Martinez, Lukaku

The Milan derby, also known as 'Derby della Madonnina', is one of the most awaited encounters in world football, and both teams display great attitude in the match. It is one of only few city derbies that are always played in the same stadium. The venue is named "San Siro" when Milan are the hosts, or "Giuseppe Meazza" when Inter are the hosts. It is called "Derby della Madonnina" in honor of one of the main sights in the city of Milan, the statue of the Virgin Mary on the top of the Duomo, which is often referred to as the "Madonnina" ("Little Madonna" in Italian). There will be no fans at the stadium.

The first derby match between Milan and Inter was held in the final of the Chiasso Cup of 1908, a football tournament played in Canton Ticino (Switzerland), on 18 October. The Rossoneri won 2:1. A total of 227 official matches are played between these two sides over the years. Inter have won 83 matches, Milan 77 and 67 games finished with draw. Counting only the Serie A matches, the Nerazzurri are better again. Since 1929, they have 66 wins, while Milan won 52 times. The points were shared on 56 occasions. Both teams have the same number of titles (18 each), but AC Milan has more European Cups/Champion's Leagues (7 to Inter's 3).

This is a real derby that could decide many things on the table. Both Milan and Inter are seeking to win the Scudetto for the first time since Juventus decade of dominance. Milan are currently second with 49 points, one less than their actual opponents. In the last round Pioli's men have suffered a painful 2:0 defeat at Spezia. They have now suffered three league games since the start of 2021 and the players confidence isn't high as previous. On Thursday Milan played 2:2 with Red Star Belgrade in the first-leg Europa League tie. The reverse fixture will come just four days later, though Pioli can't rotate his key players. Daniele Bonera remain sidelined, while Brahim Díaz and Ismael Bennacer are rated as doubtful. Should Bennacer miss out, Sandro Tonali will replace him. Key player Zlatan Ibrahimovic should return to the starting eleven.

As I already mention, Inter are on the first place. They are in good form, three victories on the last three matches in Serie A. The Nerazzurri first beat Benevento with 4:0, then Fiorentina with 2:0 and Lazio with 3:1 in the last round. As You could see, Inter have scored nine goals, while conceded just one. Coach Antonio Conte is doing an excellent job and I believe the fans are satisfied. Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez are in very good form, the first is fighting for the Capocannoniere crown. Lukaku has scored two goals in the last three matches and now has total of 16 goals, while Cristiano Ronaldo also has 16 at the moment. At the end I will mention that Conte has almost all of his players available, only Stefano Sensi is sidelined.

AC Milan vs Inter Prediction:

This is a genuine derby, first against second. It's a massive game for both teams, the winners will be closer to the Scudetto. However, the players from both teams are under big pressure. Pioli and Conte will be very careful, nobody want to lose the derby. Considering this facts, I expect a low scoring match.

AC Milan vs Inter Pick: Under 2.5 goals @ 2.20 with Pinnacle
