Arsenal welcome Manchester United in the derby of the round in the Premier League. This is a very important match for both sides. Arsenal are currently sharing the 8th place with Chelsea, but a possible victory here could see them climbing higher. It is clear Arteta will ask the maximum from his players. The Gunners are in excellent form, they have five victories and one draw on the last six matches in the Premier League. After a series of poor results, they beat tittle pretenders Chelsea with 3:1. In the next two matches they obtained two victories. The North London outfit won 1:0 against Brighton and 4:0 against West Bromwich. The draw with Crystal Palace saw them dropping two points, but this was only a temporary 'time-out'. Arsenal dominated the whole 90 minutes, but failed to score and the match finished with a goalless draw. In the last two rounds the North London outfit beat Newcastle and Southampton. The Gunners have scored three goals in each game. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was double scorer against the Magpies, while the remaining goal was scored by Bukayo Saka. In the last match Arsenal beat Southampton at St Mary's, even the captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed the game for personal reasons. Nicolas Pepe, Saka and Alexandre Lacazette secured a 3:1 win. Saka became the second English teenager to score for Arsenal in consecutive league appearances, after Ashley Cole in October 2000. At the same time Lacazette became the first Arsenal player to reach 10 goals in all competitions this season. The atmosphere in the squad is excellent, while the players confidence is higher. Aubameyang, who missed the last two matches due to personal issues (his mother was unwell), is rated as doubtful. Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe are also doubtful after both came off with minor muscle complaints against Southampton. New signing Martin Odegaard is available but may start from the bench having only recently arrived from Madrid.

Manchester United were on the first place until the midweek and Ole Gunar Solskjaer was enjoying the moment, as well as the players. The Red Devils were in series of 13 matches without a defeat in the Premier League. They won 10 of those 13 games and deserved the top of the table. However, the results on the last three matches are mixed - one win, one draw and one defeat. United beat Fulham with 2:1 at Craven Cottage, but played a goalless draw with Liverpool at Anfield. According to me, this was a good result, a point against the reigning champions. Manchester were closer to the victory as Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba have missed two clear opportunities. But then came an "easy" match against bottom-placed Sheffield United at Old Trafford. Three points were already calculated, though the guests made a shocking surprise. The Blades took a lead through Kean Bryan in the 23rd minute after corner. Since the start of last season, no Premier League side has conceded more league goals from corners than Manchester United - 14. Anthony Martial had a goal ruled out, while Harry Maguire equalized in the 64th minute. It looked like the usual scenario - United have come from behind to win seven Premier League matches this season. But then a shock - Sheffield United scored in the 74th minute through substitute Oliver Burke and secured the victory. It is clear the home matches are Solskjaer's biggest problem. Obviously he can not find a key for defensive oriented teams. United have lost four of their 10 Premier League home games this season. However, that shouldn't be a problem here. The Norwegian coach has different problems ahead of the trip to London. Eric Bailly, who was due to face Sheffield United but was forced to withdraw after picking up a knock in training, is rated as doubtful. Victor Lindelof should be fit to return despite a long-standing back problem. Edinson Cavani will probably lead the line after Anthony Martial's poor display on Wednesday.

Arsenal vs Manchester United Prediction:

This is the hottest of this weekend Premier League fixtures. It's been two years since United have tasted victory against the Gunners. Arsenal will try to prove their "warm and cold" results are behind them. But Aubameyang missed the last two matches and his presence here is questionable. The Red Devils are undoubtedly looking like the favorites in this derby. Solskjaer have players able to make the difference, like Pogba, Rashford, Cavani and Bruno Fernandes. I will give advantage to Manchester United.
