If you are not into betting and don't understand it, it's pure gamble and the same is with stock market. If you just hope and blindly buy stocks you saw on twitter that it will "skyrocket" soon, it's also gamble.

I wouldn't call sports betting "an investment", but if you put knowledge in, it means that different game with similar rules has just started.

Definitely not, the risk is bigger than stock market, it's more like crypto market. And if you ask did you pay capital gains for gambling profits, most of the cases you are not paying and most depending on your country.
