West Ham vs Liverpool Preview:

West Ham will host Liverpool at the London Stadium in a very important match for them. The Hammers are dangerously close to the drop zone and they will try to do the impossible - to beat league-leaders Liverpool. It won't be easy for David Moyes' players. They are outside the drop zone only thanks to the goal-difference. The Hammers have 23 points, as well as Bournemouth and Watford. The situation is very complicated. The promising start to the season, which saw them lie in fifth in late September, is a distant memory now. West Ham are in bad form, losing two of the last three matches in the Premier League. They lost 1:0 to Sheffield United and lost 4:1 to Leicester City, while only shared the points with Everton. In addition, they were eliminated from the FA Cup after losing 1:0 at home to West Bromwich. It was an interesting match as Slaven Bilic, now in charge for WBA, faced the Hammers for the first time since they sacked him 2017. However, the eliminations means David Moyes' men have only a battle for survival to look forward to. The problem is that this was not a performance that will give their fans much optimism that they can beat the drop. Goalkeeper Lucasz Fabianski is still sidelined and that's a huge handicap. Jack Wilshere and Ryan Fredericks are likely to be out of this match, with both expected to be back next month. Felipe Anderson will be out for at least three weeks after suffering a back injury and joins Andriy Yarmolenko on the sidelines. At the end I will mention the atmosphere in the squad is bad. Hundreds of West Ham supporters staged a protest against the club's co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold before the match with Everton.

Liverpool obtained a tough victory against Wolverhampton in the last round and now have 67 from the possible 69 points. The Reds remain 16 points clear on the top of Premier League table, with a game in hand (this one). Liverpool are very close to realize their dream of winning a first league title in 30 years. Jurgen Klopp's men were given one of their toughest tests of the season before eventually extending their unbeaten run in the league to 40 matches. Captain Jordan Henderson headed them into an early lead before Raul Jimenez equalized for Wolves. Roberto Firmino decided the match scoring an 84th-minute winner. The Brazilian international has netted six goals in his last eight games for Liverpool. Interesting, all 10 of his goals this season have come away from Anfield. Trent Alexander-Arnold should also be mentioned. Since the start of last season, he has 22 Premier League assists, at least five more than any other player. Finally, goalkeeper Alisson Becker was good as usual despite the fact he conceded. On Sunday Liverpool played 2:2 in FA Cup match with Shrewsbury. It is a bad result against League One outfit, but Klopp played without first-team players. The injury situation isn't good as one of the key players Sadio Mane suffered a hamstring injury against Wolverhampton. The Senegalese winger limped off in the first half and was replaced by new signing Minamino. On the positive note, Fabinho has recovered, as well as Joel Matip, Naby Keita and Dejan Lovren. James Milner remains sidelined with a thigh injury he suffered in the FA Cup clash over Everton. Nathaniel Clyne is a long-term injury victim.

West Ham vs Liverpool Prediction:

West Ham and Liverpool last played each other in February 2019. The Hammers stopped the favorites and played an 1:1 draw. Liverpool are favorites again, but I don't expect to win high. The last two away victories were narrow, 2:1 at Wolverhampton and 1:0 at Tottenham, plus a 2:2 draw at Shrewsbury in the FA Cup. West Ham are in poor form, but they will give the maximum here. Having on mind Liverpool are without Mane, I think the Hammers will cover the handicap.

West Ham vs Liverpool Pick: West Ham +1.5 AH @ 1.83 with Pinnacle
