Manchester United vs Leicester City Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Manchester United:
Henderson; Tuanzebe, Lindelof, Bailly, Telles; Matic, McTominay, Van de Beek; Mata; Greenwood, Cavani

Leicester City:
Schmeichel; Amartey, Soyuncu, Fofana; Castagne, Ndidi, Tielemans, Thomas; Perez; Iheanacho, Vardy

The Premier League is back in action with another derby match between second-placed Manchester United and third-placed Leicester City at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are in excellent form at the moment. They are unbeaten on the last 14 games in the Premier League, winning 8 of them. As I wrote, United are second, but without realistic chance to fight for the title. They have 70 points, while the leaders Manchester City have 80. It is clear the Citizens will win the title. Nevertheless, Ole Gunar Solskjaer's side are in good form. They beat Aston Vila with 3:1 on Sunday. Like many times before, they conceded first and then turned out the result. Manchester have won 10 Premier League matches after conceding first this season. Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani were the scorers. Greenwood scored his 16th Premier League goal, the most of any teenager for the club, overtaking Wayne Rooney's tally of 15 goals. Cavani, meanwhile, netted his 5th Premier League goal as a substitute this season. Solskjaer has some injury issues ahead of this game. Harry Maguire was taken off at Villa Park with an ankle problem and he is rated as doubtful. He joins Daniel James, Anthony Martial and Phil Jones in the treatment room. Considering the fact United will play three matches in just six days, the Norwegian coach is forced to rotate the players. Some "out-of-favour" players, such as Eric Bailly, Alex Telles, Nemanja Matic and Donny van de Beek, could benefit from the situation.

Leicester City will try to secure the Top-Four finish and Champions League spot. The Foxes are currently on the fourth position with 63 points, but West Ham, Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton are looking for an opportunity. There is no space for any relaxation and the points from this match are very important. But the actual form isn't at desired level, they have three defeats on the last six matches in the Premier League. They lost 2:0 to Manchester City, lost 3:2 to West Ham and lost 4:2 to Newcastle in the last round. The Foxes have conceded four goals in a home league match for the first time since losing 4:0 to Liverpool in December 2019. The fans are afraid of a repeat of 2019/20 season, when their club missed out on a place in the Champions League on the final day having spent most of the season in the top four. What is more intrigue, they lost exactly from Manchester United, so there will be plenty of motives. But manager Brendan Rodgers must rebuild the players confidence. This is a very important period for his side. They will face Chelsea next weekend in the FA Cup final, their first in 52 years. But Rodgers has no luxury to rotate the players as both matches are equally important. Of course, he must be careful over James Maddison and Ricardo Pereira following their returns from injury. James Justin, Wes Morgan, Harvey Barnes and Jonny Evans remain sidelined.

Manchester United vs Leicester City Prediction:

I expect an efficient match at Old Trafford. Manchester United came back to win 3:1 at Aston Villa on Sunday, whereas Leicester City suffered a 4:2 defeat to Newcastle United. As You could see, both teams have scored and conceded. I believe in similar scenario in their direct clash.

Manchester United vs Leicester City Pick
: Both teams to score - Yes @ 1.79 with Pinnacle

Manchester United

They are sitting in the second place in the table of the League. As the gap between them and the first is too big, they will certainly win the second prize of this season. Edinson Cavani plays especially well recently, who has been their key to success.

Leicester City

They have been winless for two matches, which makes them down to the fourth in the table of the League. There are only five points separating them from the fifth. To stay top four, they should put more efforts.

Verdict:

Manchester United are more experienced than Leicester City. And Man Utd take the upper hand over The Fox in past head-to-head clashes with a record of 7W-2D-1L. Thus Manchester United have the tendency to win.

Prediction: 2-0, 2-1

Southampton

They rank the sixteenth in the table of the League. They are safe from the threat of relegation so that they lack ambitions. They have been winless for five matches, taking only one point from Leicester City in recent games, which is out of expectation.

Crystal Palace

They are They are slightly better than The Saint. They get a 2-0 clean sheet from Sheffield United in last game. Now they are the thirteenth in the table of the League, far away from European games and relegation. They are relaxed in the rest of this season.

Verdict:

There is no big gap between Southampton and Crystal Palace. One is the sixteenth in League table, the other is the thirteenth. And both of them are safe from relegation. So the result of the game is suggested to be a draw or 0-1.

Prediction: 1-1, 0-1

Chelsea vs Arsenal Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Chelsea:
Mendy; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Rudiger; James, Jorginho, Kante, Chilwell; Ziyech, Mount; Havertz

Arsenal:
Leno; Chambers, Holding, Gabriel, Tierney; Partey, Elneny; Pepe, Odegaard, Aubameyang; Lacazette

The Premier League continues on Wednesday with a Big-6 derby between London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. The Blues are on the third place with 64 points and it seems this could be a successful season. Chelsea secured the FA Cup final that will be played next weekend. On top of that, they will face Manchester City in the Champions League final at the end of the month. One man stands behind these results - manager Thomas Tuchel. The German coach, who replaced the club legend Frank Lampard, made a "small miracle". Tuchel has been in charge of the team for 25 matches across all competitions and has lost just twice. One of these two defeats could be evaluated as some sort of success, against Porto in the Champions League. Chelsea lost 1:0 with the injury-time goal, but still qualified with a 2:1 aggregate win. So, the only "real" defeat came against West Bromwich Albion. Tuchel's men lost 5:2, but we have to mention that Thiago Silva was sent off in the first half. However, the fans are satisfied with the results, as well as the owner Roman Abramovich. The current form is good, they are in series of three victories across all competitions. Last weekend they beat Manchester City with 2:1 at the Etihad. Hakim Ziyech and Marcos Alonso were the scorers against the new champions. The German coach has the majority of the players available ahead of this match, only two of them are struggling with injury - Mateo Kovacic and Andreas Christensen. A rotation is likely with Kurt Zouma, Jorginho and Ben Chilwell providing fresh legs. Olivier Giroud is not expected to play against his former club. It is clear Tuchel don't trust too much to the Frenchman.

The season is virtually finished for Arsenal player. They suffered a painful elimination from Villarreal in UEFA Europa League and lost the chance this season to be "saved". The Spanish side won 2:1 on the first match and then played a goalless draw at the Emirats. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is under big pressure and his job isn't sure. The Gunners also lost a chance to qualify for the Champions League through the Europa League. Securing top European football via the Premier League isn't possible as they are on the 9th place with 52 points. Nevertheless, Arsenal are in good form at the moment. They have two wins on the last two league matches. First they beat Newcastle with 2:0 as guests, while then won 3:1 against West Bromwich at the Emirats. Emile Smith Rowe, Nicolas Pepe and Willian scored the goals that sent WBA in the Championship Division. This was the first back-to-back Premier League victories for Arsenal since January. The Gunners future might be bright as Emile Smith Rowe is the fourth player aged 21 or under to score in the league this season. The other three young players are Saka, Martinelli and Nketiah. It seems Arteta is doing a good job, but the question is how much time he has. The Spaniard need positive results in the remaining three matches more than anything. He has some injury issues ahead of the match. The former Chelsea man David Luiz is struggling with a hamstring issue, while Pablo Mari and Granit Xhaka are out with an ankle and groin injury respectively. Smith Rowe was withdrawn against WBA due to hamstring pain and he is rated as doubtful. Aubameyang should lead the line having fully recovered from malaria. Kieran Tierney is probably fit enough to start at left-back.

Chelsea vs Arsenal Prediction:

Chelsea have secured 11 clean sheets in 16 Premier League games under Tuchel, 18 in all competitions. The Blues have conceded only 10 goals under the German and half of those came in the mentioned 2:5 defeat to WBA. Arsenal suffered a painful elimination from UEFA Europe League and the atmosphere in the squad is far from ideal. I expect a low scoring match in London.

Chelsea vs Arsenal Pick: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.82 with Pinnacle

Interesting. I see a motivated Leicester City in this match. I predict a draw. But its gonna be tight.

Manchester United vs Liverpool Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Manchester United:
Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Lindelof, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Pogba; Cavani

Liverpool:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Fabinho, Robertson; Milner, Wijnaldum, Thiago; Salah, Mane, Firmino

Manchester United host arch-rivals Liverpool in their rescheduled fixture after their original Premier League match earlier this month was postponed following a dramatic fan protest. They broke into Old Trafford, invaded the pitch and protested against the Glazer family.

It will be the third match in just 5 days for United, whose title hopes are over after Tuesday's 2:1 defeat to Leicester City. Solskjaer decided to sacrifice the match with Leicester on Tuesday and played with B-team. The Red Devils lost 2:1 and this result promoted Manchester City as new champions. At the same time, Leicester victory affected Liverpool's chances of finishing in the top four. However, Manchester were in excellent form until Tuesday. They were unbeaten on the last 14 Premier League matches, winning eight of them. United sit on the second place, but never had realistic chance to fight for the title as league-leaders Manchester City always had big advantage and their success was just a formality. The Red Devils were very good in Europa too. They destroyed Roma and secured final after the high 8:5 aggregate win. I will mention another good news - Edinson Cavani has signed a new contract. There were speculations over his future, but on Monday, the club officials confirmed that Cavani had signed a one year extension. It's expected Cavani will earn £250,000 per week. Solskjaer has some injury concerns ahead of the derby. Harry Maguire is still ruled out with an ankle injury and his absence is a big handicap for the hosts. Anthony Martial, Daniel James and long-term absentee Phil Jones remain sidelined. Lot of changes are expected compared to the Tuesday's game, starting from keeper's position - Dean Henderson should replace David de Gea.

Liverpool are in very complicated situation. The Reds were on the first place for Christmas, while now have only theoretical chances to secure Champions League spot. Liverpool managed to beat Southampton with 2:0 in the last round. Sadio Mane scored the opener, while Thiago Alcantara finished the job with his first Premier League goal. Mane has scored two goals in his last three Premier League games. Thiago, meanwhile, became the 140th player to score a Premier League goal for Liverpool, and the first to score his first goal from outside the box since Divock Origi in December 2015. Nevertheless, the Reds had dropped too many points in 2021. They were unable to beat Leeds and Newcastle, conceding late goals on both occasions. It is clear Liverpool are struggling at the moment. According to me, there is a reason for poor results - the injury situation. As You probably know, all three central defenders, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip suffered severe injuries and missed the majority of the season. This is an enormous handicap and Klopp was forced to improvise. He has used almost 20 different centre-back pairings and that's a big problem. The German boss has additional worries ahead of this match as Ozan Kabak, who sat out Saturday’s match against Southampton, is rated as doubtful. Rhys Williams is far from impressive, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see Fabinho drop back into defense once again. This match comes too soon for captain Jordan Henderson.

Manchester United vs Liverpool Prediction:

The reverse fixture played in January ended with a goalless draw. That was the first derby without the fans. Liverpool have not won at Old Trafford since 2014, having drawn four and lost four of their past eight matches there. I don't expect anything to be changed now. Manchester United are in better form and the players confidence is on their side. The defeat from Leicester City is not important at all. On contrary, Solskjaer rested his key players and they will give the maximum against the Merseysiders.

Manchester United vs Liverpool Pick: Manchester United +0.5 @ 1.66 with Betsafe, Betsson

We have so far tipped three correct tips out of three in the midweek fixtures and that follows five out of seven and a +40% return at the weekend.
Here is our preview for Chelsea vs Arsenal tonight.

Chelsea vs Arsenal

Wednesday 12th May 20.15pm

Chelsea have won three in a row and their last match a 1-2 win against Manchester City was a very good win as well as a 2-0 win over Real Madrid the game before. Arsenal on the other hand have won two of their last five but did win their latest game last night versus West Brom 3-1.

Between the two teams only 30% of their last 10 games have gone over 2.5 goals.

The head to head for this game does suggest goals and the last five have all seen both sides find the net and over 2.5 goals. However do not be fooled by this, none of those were under Tuchel.

Our Tips:

Under 2.5 goals @ 4/5

Prediction:

1-0
