Just going to keep all my shite in one place. Keep in mind, I have posted my archive here so it will be in first post. All of my bets.
Just occasional bets.

Today main bet backing Spurs at around evens.

Small bet on Mido to score first at around 6/1

Mar 5 2006, 08:53 PM

Got there in the end MITK 3-2- thought it was going to be quite comfortable when Spurs went two up but full marks to Blackburn for coming back to 2-2.
Was going to lay back at 1.1 when Spurs went 2-0 up but Blackburn scored before the market had restarted. Got worried when it went to 2-2.

Mido scored but not first. He was involved in the build up to both Keane's goals.
Greed got the better of me & around 6/4 for anytime scorer wouldn't have been too bad.

Also felt it would be an over 2.5 goals game.

Good to start with a winner.

Mar 5 2006, 09:11 PM

Had a bit of a break & am in form -yesterday shortlisted Boro Newcastle Leeds Reading Chelsea Arsenal & they all won but went for the unders bet in the Liverpool game as the bet. Also went for the Liverpool 1-0 score & it would have been 1-0 if Fowler's goal had stood. Should have been about 6-0 actually.

This is just carrying on from the 3 teams 3 doubles thread which I was doing but was going to change the name of anyway -because I wasn't only doing that bet on there.

Will post a shortlist & try to pick out the best one & just a few single bets a week.
Bigger bets but also a stab at unders/overs, scorers, correct score, back to lay back in play bets etc.

Mar 6 2006, 01:07 AM

Next bet is Wednesday night.
Liverpool 1-0 down from first leg- take on Benfica at Anfield.
Liverpool are really struggling to score goals just now & judging by the way they couldn't score against Charlton it is difficult to see them getting two in normal time.
Think that when it does click they will give some team a doing but can't see it being Wednesday night.
Only one of Liverpool's last 12 games has been an over 2.5 goals game & they are pretty tight & well organised at the back.

Would think Liverpool would get at least a draw.

Laying Benfica & under 2.5 goals look likely but giving a low pay out.

With this in mind am staking one unit's worth of bets I would normally put on a single on a series of small bets

Draw HT Liverpool FT

Draw HT Draw FT (if this happened Liverpool would be out -hope it doesn't happen -but if they can't put the ball in the back of the net....)

0-0 back to lay back

1-0 Liverpool (this is the most likely result on current form imo & think it might be a case of Liverpool grinding out a result after normal time)

1-1

2-0 Liverpool (can't see how they will get the goals but that covers every score laying Benfica & under 2.5 goals)

Gerrard to score first & anytime scorer.

Mar 7 2006, 10:48 AM

Introducing a 10 point staking plan (ie 10 points is 1 unit of my normal stake bet) to keep score on this- will mainly be using decimal odds occasionally fractions. Just got to divide by 10 to get real points profit (or loss).
Not doing it as % of a bank.
Would think smallest bet would be 1 point biggest single bet 20 or 30 points.
Gets slightly messy when backing & laying back & will not count betting exchange % but will deduct 5% from profit when tallying up (will only be a factor if in profit).
Not going to waste too much time on it but it will be a good representation.

Leeds bet was 11 points profit on win bet & 1 point loss on Mido first goalscorer so thats balance currently + 10 points.

Will be investing 10 points on a series of small bets on Liverpool game & will post my idea of a good relative staking plan for those 10 points tomorrow.

Mar 8 2006, 12:01 AM

Liverpool to qualify 1.85 3 points

This covers extra time etc & as such is a better price than backing Liverpool at 1.5 on the normal win market?
If it did go to extra time I would favour Liverpool to slog it out.

Draw/Liverpool 4.6 1/2 point
Draw/Draw 6.6 1/2 point

Liverpool HT 2.14 1/2 point

0-0 Back to lay back in play 10 1 point

1-0 6.2 2 points

1-1 9 1 point

2-0 6.8 1 point

To Score Gerrard 2.7 1/2 point

First Goalscorer Gerrard 7 1/2 point

Mar 8 2006, 01:21 AM

That comes to 10 1/2 points staked- just slightly over what I would have staked on a straight win bet.

Hope I haven't peaked too soon as yesterday I told a mate Rangers score would be 1-1 & Lovencrands first & anytime goalscorer. Didn't have a bet.

Mar 8 2006, 09:44 PM

Liverpool's strikers severely lacking in confidence as expected -thought Gerrard would have to do it on his own - usually well organised defence standing watching for the Benfica goal.
Blows the shit right out of my tickets -only hope for my bets on the night Gerrard to score anytime & score to go to & stay at 1-1 which would mean Liverpool would go out - they've got a mountain to climb now as they need three. They've done it before but right now they can't get one.

Mar 9 2006, 12:58 AM

Gerrard should have scored 85 mins which would have given me hope of a 1-1 & just about breaking even with 5 mins to go but then Benfica made it 0-2.

Was +10 points lost -11 so balance is -1 point.

Next bet Roma to win away at Boro 10 points invested 2.86.

Mar 9 2006, 08:45 PM

Well I did say Liverpool were finding goals hard to come by & usually don't let many in.
The original under 2.5 goals bet would have been the bet again last night regardless of which team won lost or drew.
Short price but better than losing your money.

Let's see how Roma do tonight nearly 2/1 & might have been better laying Boro - covering the draw.
Think Roma have the quality to get an away goal & maybe get the away result.

Mar 10 2006, 10:51 AM

Roma beaten 1-0 at Boro- another unders game.

11 points down already ffs

Next Bet Porto to win away tonight 1.72 -they usually beat Setubal-just occasionally it's a draw. 10 points invested.

Mar 11 2006, 01:37 AM

Porto won that one comfortably- was going to make it a 20 points bet to get back in profit.
+7 points making balance -4 points.

Tomorrow will make take Scotland as a sporting bet to buck the trend of away teams losing in the 6 Nations for a long overdue win in Dublin.
Not confident enough to make it a 10 pointer but 5 points invested at 10/3.

Mar 11 2006, 02:14 AM

Also ran through the coupons & picked out 10 teams & 10 European teams- didn't give them much studying I have to admit- but I obviously thought they could win-see if they turnover a profit at the end of the day as a pot builder in singles or better left alone:

Better have 1/2 point acca on each just in case

1 point total staked

Everton Wigan Man C Birmingham Blackburn Sheff Utd Reading Leeds Gretna
St Mirren

Deportivo Valencia Inter Werder Bremen Bayern Munich Lyon Auxerre Nijmegen Sporting Lisbon CSKA Moscow

Mar 11 2006, 02:25 PM

First bet going the right way at least so far - Birmingham scored first.
Sheffield Utd away were the ones I thought were the most likely flies in the ointment as they are decent away but Coventry are good at home.

The Scotland bet is ambitious but tempting at the odds - hoping they can show enough promise to get the odds down in play & then lay back.

West Brom equalised -could have layed back too
CSKA Moscow 1-0 down too -missed it started 1 o'clock.

5 points on Blackburn to come good in 2nd half 2.6

1-0 Blackburn -just scored shortly after I posted hope they can keep it up - not laying back yet.

Mar 11 2006, 07:40 PM

5 points down on Scotland bet - they gave it their best shot but Ireland deserved to win . Only 9 points margin & Scotland might have been given a try by another ref but Ireland deserved to win.
Would have been ok on Scotland +10.5 points but went for the 10/3 odds & lost.

The small bets were poor today -waste of time even typing but only a few winners,
a lot of draws too.

Balance was -4 points (10 points is normal singles unit stake)-5 on Scotland -2 on small bets =-11

Hopefully 5 points on Blackburn at 2.6 can pull back 8 points

Mar 11 2006, 08:02 PM

Blackburn 2-0 up

Looking to go into profit before the night's out with a good bet from one of the ones left on the shortlist (think there should be a few winners in there) which one?

Inter
Deportivo
Valencia
Lyon
Auxerre
Nijmegen
Sporting Lisbon

Mar 11 2006, 08:20 PM

Quite a few started at 7 pm & are not in play markets so that narrows it down a bit.
Lyon 2-0 & Nijmegen 1-0 up early on.

Concerned that some teams on duty in Europe mid week might be playing a bit flat today - maybe Valencia can capitalise on that with Real?

Mar 11 2006, 08:50 PM

Will take a chance on the only one which is odds against 8 points on Valencia at home at 2.3 entertaining Real to leapfrog them into 2nd place if they win.
Real have been blowing hot & cold & would think they won't really be up for it after going out of the Champions league to Arsenal midweek.
Will be laying back in play if Valencia get ahead.

Also in play 2 points invested on inter 1-0 in play might just do enough to get job done then sit on the lead. 5.9

Mar 11 2006, 10:11 PM

Deportivo went down 0-1 -avoided that one.

Lyon won 4-0

Auxerre won 2-0

Nijmegen won 2-0

Inter winning 1-0 & hoping it stays exactly on that score for last few mins
Hopefully Inter keep Sampdoria out & are not too bothered about getting another themselves.

10 mins into Valencia game & worryingly Real have started brighter than expected.

Mar 11 2006, 10:32 PM

Balance -11 points

5 points on Blackburn at 2.6 ( won) profit +8 points & balance =-3 points

2 points at 6 on Inter 1-0 score (won) profit +10 points & balance = +7 points

Bit more encouraging from Valencia -was just about to lay out of the game & go for Sporting Lisbon at 1.75 -when market suspended & Sporting 1-0 up.

Mar 12 2006, 12:21 AM

Valencia Real game ended up 0-0 -bad choice of game - pretty much cancelled each other out -as their league positions suggested. A bit like Ajax PSV earlier today -looked too close to call on paper -0-0.

5 wins 1 draw 1 lost out of that last 7 games -definitely a bad choice of main bet -to lose with 5 /7 right.

8 points lost on Valencia current balance -1 point.

unlucky. I thought Valencia just edged the game and should have had a penalty early on.

Mar 12 2006, 09:47 AM

Yeah Deano they had more shots from less territorial advantage but their strikers were poor last night.
Went for the biggest priced one when there were plenty of safer options.

Have what looks to me to be a decent ew bet starts imminently

Bahrain GP F1

M Schumacher 7 points podium 1.55 3 points winner 2.8 ie money back if he's in the first 3 about 4/5 if he wins.

Mar 12 2006, 02:15 PM

Schumacher 2nd to Alonso -money back.
Thought it was a 2 horse race & chose the wrong one.
Probably came down to a car's length coming out of last pit stop but Alonso with youth on his side looks better than Schumacher now & although Ferrari are back Renault still look to have the edge.
Also comes down to suitability of car for different circuits.

Mar 12 2006, 03:18 PM

Still slightly in the red at -1 point.
Will try the France v England rugby today.
Not trying a full 10 points stake & fancy France at home -but not the odds for the straight win.
Will risk 6 points.
4 points France to win over 12.5 points 4.1
2 points France to win under 12.5 points 2.94 money back saver.

Hoping this might be quite a high scoring game with neither side as good as Scotland (who beat them both) in defence but both offering more in attack.
Think France would win at home & maybe it will be by more than 12.5 points margin.

Mar 12 2006, 05:49 PM

France won 31-6
They were 16-0 up at HT but squandered ball & chances in the second half before coming away again.

+12 points gained -2 saver points lost, balance was -1 point

New balance +9 points

Mar 12 2006, 08:10 PM

Bal +9 points @ 1.75
+9 points invested in Barcelona to win away at Osasuna.

Barca had a tough game against Chelsea midweek but got through.
Messi is injured but Riijkkaard still has the likes of Larsson to call upon.
Draw last night between Valencia & Real increased Barca's lead at the top.
A victory tonight would practically wrap it up for them.

Osasuna were in 2nd position at the turn of the year but have now slipped down to 4th. Only 3 goals in last 4 home games of 2 defeats & 2 draws.

Mar 13 2006, 09:13 AM

Back down to 0 balance

Barca really didn't look up for it for the first hour & Larsson should have been on from the start. Other teams which played in Europe midweek hadn't lost at the weekend which swayed me to take Barca.
Sickening because again I had other shortlist options which won including Juve AC draw.

Mar 13 2006, 06:44 PM

Stoke's record at home not the best.
Palace reasonable away side.

Not a 10 points bet but 6 points risked

Palace HT FT 5 points 4.1

Draw HT Palace FT 1 point saver 6

Mar 13 2006, 10:42 PM

1-0 Palace HT 3-1 Palace FT

5 points Palace HT FT @ 4.1 = + 15.5 points

-1 point saver Draw HT Palace FT

Balance =+ 14.5 points profit

Mar 13 2006, 11:15 PM

Cheers Red 😄

Don't fancy too much tomorrow night (& want to stay in profit for a few days at least) so will just risk one point tomorrow night

(10 points is one normal single bet stake).

Inter 1 point on 1-0 score 6.6

Inter obviously won't want to concede an away goal & I'll take them to control the tie, keep a clean sheet & win by the odd goal.

Inter started strongly - prepared to risk 5 points on them to win in play at 1/2.

Mar 14 2006, 10:39 PM

Inter 1-0

Lucky Adriano missed that penalty.

Balance +14.5 points

1point Inter 1-0 @ 6.6 =5.5 points profit

5 points Inter win @ 1.5 =2.5 points profit

New balance =+22.5 points

Mar 15 2006, 01:08 AM

Shortlist for tonight, to pick best one from (to look into a bit further) at first glance:

Roma
Liverpool (but who's going to put the ball in the net?-Gerrard?)
West Ham
Deportivo
Sporting Lisbon
Benfica
Porto
Boavista

Mar 15 2006, 07:49 PM

Porto 1.8 game already started market suspended -so that sorts that one out.

Will put 1 point each on

Hammers
Deportivo
Sporting Lisbon
Benfica
Boavista
Liverpool
Roma

Also 1 point on to score /to win Liverpool to win /Gerrard to score 3.35

8 points invested

Main bet 4 more points to win Roma 1.75 or so - when I see the line ups etc just before kick off or in play.
Expecting a better display from Roma at home.
Italian sides showing up well in Champions league this year -showing league is strong.

Mar 15 2006, 09:18 PM

4 points on Roma in play 1.8

Mar 15 2006, 09:22 PM

Porto heading for a 1-1 looks like I got lucky missing that one.
Liverpool 1-0 up- thought about that Fowler /Liverpool bet too .
Hammers also 1-0 up

Mar 15 2006, 11:17 PM

Win win situation on main bet as far as I'm concerned -Roma win on the night Boro go through.
Roma play good football though.

Porto won but after extra time - missed that one.
Hammers drew after normal time- leading in extra time.
Deportivo drew
Liverpool won 5-1 (said they would give some team a doing soon) only problem was just about everyone but Gerrard scored.
Boavista drew & lost after extra time.
Sporting Lisbon look to have done it
Benfica look to have blown it.

Made a winning selection for 5 point main bet but squandered profit on those 1 point bets.

Mar 15 2006, 11:35 PM

5 points on Roma @1.8 = +4 points profit

1/2 point won on Liverpool

3/4 point won on Sporting Lisbon

-5 points lost on the other stupid bets makes it all square on the night- thought I could show a profit on those smaller bets too on the night but they cost me my profit.

Balance still +22.5 points.

Mar 16 2006, 02:01 PM

Meant to be occasional bets this thread so will have a couple of nights off - nothing leaps off the page at me for next 2 nights matches at first glance- in terms of value.
Trying to get 30 or 40 points up (3 or 4 bets ) ahead of the game before increasing stakes for a 10 pointer.

Mar 17 2006, 11:53 PM

Just going to put a 2 point bet on each of these & pick one to make a 5 point bet.

Everton 5/6

Man U 1/2

Draw between West Ham & Portsmouth. 9/4
Would have picked West Ham but they are fielding a weakened team & have another game on Monday.

Similar to West Ham will take Man C & Wigan for a draw 9/4

Mar 18 2006, 12:01 PM

Have a few more to add in today (for better or for worse) but will start with

Everton 3 points win 12.45 ko

& see how that's going, check out team news etc. before tackling the 3 o'clock ones.

Mar 18 2006, 03:21 PM

Everton looking good Morkyboy 3-0 up at HT -had a small HT FT too.

Good start- nearly 3 points to the good surely.

Man U 5 points 1/2

Draw Hammers/ Portsmouth 1 point 9/4

Draw Man C / Wigan 1 point 9/4

Not so good at draws but hoping at least one of 2 draw bets results in a draw.
Would have favoured both home teams but they have a busy schedule at present.
Not sure if Portsmouth can cash in so draw attempted.
Wigan more capable than Pompey but draw attempted.

Chelsea 4/9 3 points

Arsenal 2/5 2 points

Blackburn 4/5 2 points - think Boro might have a Euro hangover & Blackburn in better league form anyway.

14 more points invested -about the total stakes for 1 1/2 normal 10 point bets -going easy trying to build up the bank to +40 points before going for a 10 pointer.

Missing out Championship & Scottish ones this week as my usual teams let me down last week & Premiership was better.

Mar 18 2006, 05:07 PM

Know what you mean about draws MITK - seem hard to get until one starts laying them.

At half time would settle for that if they stayed like that -long way to go but everything on track except Hammers Portsmouth draw - 3-0 Pompey - understrength Hammers getting well gubbed & Pompey well capable of cashing in. Couldn't quite bring myself to back Pompey they've been so poor.
Reading & Gretna look to be getting back on track but others I have been following recently like Leeds Sheff U Palace -left well alone.

Mar 18 2006, 06:11 PM

That went well  - only lost the 2 one point bets - neither game ended up a draw -in fact both home teams were beaten - understrength after very recent games & another game on Monday.
Knew they were understrength but didn't go for opponents -just draws.
Did well to only make them one point bets.

Stayed well off some of usuals in Championship & Scottish -Palace drew, Leeds drew Sheff U beaten - on the slide- Reading only drew again- only Gretna got back on track.

Well done with Norwich too Morkyboy - should have done it because I didn't fancy Sheff U -should have taken your advice but typical Saturday -too much going on.

Mar 18 2006, 06:26 PM

Chelsea play tomorrow not today.

Quite fancied Spurs (against Birmingham) but put off by Spurs surprisingly poor away form- think I'll leave it.

No -a small bet

1 point to win Spurs in play just started 2.2

As I said Chelsea bet is still to run tomorrow along with a few others but tonight the bet is Juventus away to Livorno. 7.30 start I think

4 points win Juve 1.9

1/2 point each on scores Juve away win (0-1, 0-2 )

Also

2 points win Barcelona (starts 7 o'clock)
Barca were poor at Osasuna but Osasuna were in 2nd up to turn of year & Barca were drained after Chelsea game by looks of it.
Am expecting better tonight.
Not so sure about the HT FT Barca because they often don't turn it on until late on but will try small score forecasts

1/2 point each Barca away win (0-1 , 0-2)

Mar 18 2006, 07:57 PM

Spurs take the lead 15 mins to go - against run of play.
Now 2-0

Ireland noses in front 20 mins to go

1 point Ireland 2.3 to stay there.

Mar 18 2006, 08:09 PM

Ireland- man injured & man sin binned- now a draw- small saver on draw 1/2 point
9 now 3.5

Mar 18 2006, 08:17 PM

Backed Ireland at 11 to level up payout to same as for draw
-effectively laying England.
Try awarded to Ireland -was going to be penalty if try not awarded.
