Today is a great night for Campionato, as two of the favorites to win this year's title, Juventus and Napoli are competing against each other. Both teams started their Serie A win a week ago and promise a great battle today in Turin. At home, the "old lady" has the upper hand, but we'd rather both teams score.
JUVENTUS TURIN vs SSC NAPOLI @@ Both team to score, odd 1.83

The "Derby della Capitale", a match between Lazio and Roma, is coming very early this season. According to locals, this derby is "much more than just a game." The Roman derby has been the scene of several actions related to the political views of the fan bases. Lazio's ultras often use fascist symbols on their banners and they have displayed racist behavior in several occasions during the derbies. Most notably at a derby of the season 1998/99 when Laziali unfurled a 50-metre banner around the Curva Nord that read, "Auschwitz is your town, the ovens are your houses".

Here are few interesting statistical information. The first derby was played on 8 December 1929, and finished 1:0 for Roma. The first goalscorer was Rodolfo Volk. Lazio won its first derby almost three years later, on 23 October 1932. The highest victory in a derby was the 5:0 win of Roma during the season 1933/34. However, Lazio holds the record of the most victories in a single season - four during the season 1997/98. The two sides have met twice in Serie A and twice in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia. Lazio won 3:1 and 2:0 in the league, and 4:1 and 2:1 in the cup. In one occasion the derby was played as a Coppa Italia Final, on 26 May 2013. Lazio won 1:0 thanks to Senad Lulic's goal. Francesco Totti is the all-time top scorer in the Derby della Capitale with 11 goals.

As of 2 Marchl 2019, there have been 150 competitive meetings between the teams in Serie A. Roma have won 54 and Lazio 38, while the remaining 58 games finished as draws.

Both teams will play in UEFA Europa League this season. The fans were waiting Thursday's news about the opponents in the group stage of the competition. Roma will play with with Borussia Monchengladbach from Germany, Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir and Austrian outfit Wolfsberger. Lazio have a mini 'group of death' with Scotish Celtic, French Rennes and CFR Cluj from Romania.

Now about the match. Lazio got a comprehensive 3:0 win away to Sampdoria. Ciro Immobile was the key player in that game after he bagged a brace to take his career tally to 101 Serie A goals. Joaquin Correa also found the back of the net. It was a dominant display by Simone Inzaghi's men. The fans are satisfied, while some of them are talking about the Scudetto. However, a Top 4 finish is guaranteed if Lazio continue that way. The club officials want to extend and improve Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s contract as reward for snubbing big clubs like Manchester United and PSG. Most of the players are ready, only Jordan Lukaku is sidelined.

Roma started the season with a frustrating 3:3 draw with Genoa. Cengiz Under, Edin Dzeko and Aleksandar Kolarov scored the goals for the Giallorossi. Three times Roma had the lead, but three times Genoa equalized. The fans weren't satisfied with the final result. Some of them questioned too offensive tactic of Fonseca, however his response was clear - he said he will never prepare a game by concentrating on defending. Nevertheless, the club officials reacted quickly and brought Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling on a season-long loan. I believe his presence will add some stability. Leonardo Spinazzola and Diego Perotti are both sidelined through injury.

Lazio vs Roma Prediction
:

I expect an efficient match at Olimpico. Both teams played high scoring games in the first round. Lazio obtained an impressive 3:0 win at Sampdoria, while Roma's match was even more entertaining - 3:3 at home with Genoa. At the end I will mention that five of the last six mutual games in all competitions have finished with Over 2.5 goals. I think the recent tradition will continue.

Lazio vs Roma Pick: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.62 with Bwin

Lazio vs Roma Pick: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.62 with Bwin

Lazio vs Roma 1-1 :( - Incredible match, no third goal, but six shots off the woodwork - four by Lazio (Lucas Leiva, Ciro Immobile, Joaquín Correa and Marco Parolo) and two by Roma (both by Nicolò Zaniolo)

my BTTS bet was smooth on this one.
