Midweek cards are messy, so I keep my process boring and repeatable instead of chasing "locks".
First, I split form into home and away tables. A side that is solid at home and passive on the road is a completely different team, and season-long averages hide that.
Second, I skip anything priced under roughly 1.35. There is almost no margin for error there, and one red card or an early injury kills the whole slip.
Third, I turn every price into implied probability and compare it with my own number. If the market says 2.10 (about 47.6%) and I have the side at 55%, that is a reason to look closer; if my number is lower, I pass without regret.
Fourth, BTTS and Over/Under only go in when they have their own thesis. "I like the home win so probably Over 2.5" is not a thesis. High defensive line, a keeper with poor distribution, both teams needing points late in the season - that is a thesis.
I also weight rest days and travel on midweek rounds much more than at the weekend, plus rotation risk for teams with a big fixture coming up.
For a starting shortlist I sometimes scan Football Predictions & Betting Tips Today | Tipsly.net - it is a free board with model-based angles, useful to see which matches are worth opening, but I treat it as a starting point and not as gospel. Anything I cannot justify with my own read gets dropped.
Bankroll stays flat: same stake per bet, no chasing, no doubling after a bad night.
No 100% claims here and nothing for sale - just the checklist I run before a midweek card.
18+ only, gamble responsibly, and never stake money you need for something else.
