Has Betting Changed Who Your Friends Are?

Princess you're young enough you can prevent this.

The rest of us let it happen gradually. Didn't notice until too late.

The gradual part is key.

You don't wake up one day isolated.

It's small choices over years. Each one justified in the moment.

"Skip this dinner, important match on."
"Cancel this plan, need to analyze bets."
"Can't make it, games all day Sunday."

Small decisions compound over years.

Eventually everyone stops asking.

I've done this so many times.

"Can't make your kid's recital mate, Wales playing."

Say it once: they understand.

Say it ten times: they stop inviting you.

Real question: Can you rebuild friendships after betting has destroyed them?

Or is it permanent?

I don't know Eddie.

I've thought about reaching out to old friends.

But what would I say? "Hey sorry I became one-dimensional and boring for 10 years, want to hang out?"
