Super useful list, I'd add placing mug bets (e.g. betbuilders, multiples), especially in the beginning, and also try to use rounded stakes to mask your arbs.

Custom Filters & Smart Presets

• You can now create advanced filters to tailor your alert settings more precisely. To get you started quickly, we’ve pre-filled filters with tier 1, 2 and 3 leagues for each sport, ideal to manage risk based on market liquidity.
• We’ve also added a timing filter: you can now choose to receive alerts X days, hours, or minutes before kickoff.
  This is especially useful to focus only on high-liquidity markets and to avoid bounce-backs, particularly handy for dropping odds.

Hello everyone! Here’s a look at what’s coming in Q4 2025 at ValueBetFactory. A lot of work has gone into these updates, and we’re excited to keep pushing forward with the product.

New Features & Improvements

• Alert Feed v2: redesigned UI, Pinnacle odds graph, hide/delete alerts, “already bet” icon, and EV calculation notes
• Settings upgrades: use leagues in multiple filters, vig filters, setting duplication, American odds format and custom time zones

Hi everyone,

Just dropping by with a quick update from the ValueBetFactory team. We’ve just released v2 of our Alert Feed and wanted to share what’s new.

What’s New

• Refreshed UI: a cleaner layout and better readability
• Pinnacle Odds Graph: instantly visualize sharp market moves directly in the alert feed
• “Already Bet?” icon: to help you stay organized
• Delete alert: remove alerts in a click

We’ve also added the Pinnacle graph to Telegram alerts. Just tap on “Options” → “Show Graph” to monitor the movement.

Pro Tip
After receiving an alert, watch the Pinnacle graph for a few seconds:

• If odds bounce back quickly, it may be a false signal or market manipulation
• If the drop continues, you might have found a solid edge

This can help avoid bounce-backs and better time your entry, especially for dropping odds.

VBF Update: New Settings & Unlimited Competition Filters ⚙

Hey everyone!

We’ve reworked the settings and several new options are now live. Some of you asked for this, it’s finally here:

• Delete all settings
• Reset all settings
• Duplicate any configuration (and yes, you can now add the same competition to as many filters as you want

Filter names now appear directly on alerts:

• On desktop: bottom-right corner of each alert
• On Telegram notifications: at the bottom of the message

You can now set different EV and DO % depending on the time left before kickoff, from several days out to the very last minute. Here’s an example setup that works well for football (especially when lineups drop):

• 5 to 1 days before the event: 10% Dropping Odds & 5% EV
• Match day: tighten to 5% DO & 3% EV
• Last hours/minutes: fine-tune even more for maximum precision

This gives you much finer control and lets you tailor your alerts exactly to your betting style, timing and competition setups. As usual, don't hesitate if you have particular feedback!

VBF Update: New staking & MEG (Maximum Expected Growth) feature deployed

Hi everyone! We’ve just released a new staking & bet evaluation system on ValueBetFactory, built around EV, Kelly staking and MEG (Maximum Expected Growth). This update is mainly focused on bet sizing, variance control and long-term growth.

New staking options available

Users can now enable staking recommendations with:

• Flat staking (units or fixed amount)
• Kelly Criterion (with custom fraction)
• Recommended stake per bookmaker based on EV
• MEG (Maximum Expected Growth) to evaluate the quality of the bet

What is MEG and why it matters

The concept of MEG (Maximum Expected Growth) was theorized by Dan Abrams (long-time sports bettor, contributor to Pinnacle Betting Resources, The Hammer Betting Network, and ex-professional poker player with an engineering background).

If you have two positive EV bets, for example:

• San Antonio Spurs -8.5
• San Antonio Spurs Moneyline

Both may be +EV, but they do NOT offer the same long-term growth potential. MEG tells you which bet produces the highest possible expected growth when properly sized.

Important insight

• EV can be the same
• But EG (Expected Growth) will drop if you overbet
• Each bet has a maximum growth point

Dan’s own guideline: “Personally, I target bets of 3 bps or higher. Anything positive is OK to bet, but at 1 bp the optimal stake becomes extremely small.”

This is exactly how MEG is now used inside the platform.

What’s now displayed on each alert

In the feed & Telegram alerts, each bookmaker now shows:

• EV (Pinnacle & Betfair references)
• Recommended stake (if enabled)
• MEG in basis points (if enabled)

This allows users to:

• Compare multiple +EV bets on the same event
• Choose based on growth efficiency, not just raw EV
• Size bets more rationally

Quick context: we hit some API restrictions with Pinnacle in Q4 that slowed us down, but that should be resolved soon. Everything we couldn't ship is now our top priority for Q1, starting with football markets and auto-settlement. Here's what we're shipping in Q1 2026:
