Liverpool vs Inter Milan Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Liverpool:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Keita; Salah, Jota, Diaz

Inter Milan:
Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Vidal, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Gosens; Dzeko, Martinez

Liverpool are in pole position when they welcome Inter Milan to Anfield for the second leg of their Champions League clash. The Reds obtained a 2:0 win at Meazza and they are close to secure quarter-finals of the competition. Jurgen Klopp's men have scored from their only two attempts on target. Brazil striker Roberto Firmino opened the score after Andrew Robertson's corner in the 75th minute, while Mohamed Salah added a second with a deflected effort from inside the box eight minutes later. Inter hit the bar through Hakan Calhanoglu in the first half. The Nerazzurri were not outplayed, but the problem is they failed to score.

Liverpool have maintained their perfect record in the Champions League. The Reds completed the group stage with a 100% record, beating twice AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and Porto and then Inter. Liverpool could become the first English club ever to win their opening 8 matches of a single Champions League campaign. The overall form is excellent, they are in series of successful results across all competitions. During the weekend they beat West Ham. Klopp's men were not at desired level, but still took the points thanks to only goal scored by Sadio Mane. Most of the players are ready and Klopp has some "sweet" issues. However, Joel Matip missed the Saturday match due to illness and he is rated as doubtful. The German coach has not ruled out the possibility of Firmino and Thiago making their injury comebacks in this match.

Inter Milan finished as second in their group, registering three victories, one draw and two defeats. The current form isn't at desired level, they have one win, one draw and one defeat on the last three matches in Serie A. Inter lost 2:0 to Sassuolo, shared the points with Genoa and won 5:0 against Salernitana on Friday. Lautaro Martinez scored a hat-trick, while Edin Dzeko found the back of the net twice. Four points from the possible nine mean they lost the first position. The atmosphere in the squad isn't at desired level and this is something that coach Simone Inzaghi has to improve. For this match he has most of the players available, but Nicolo Barella is serving the second of a two-game suspension for the red card in the match against Real Madrid in the group. Ivan Perisic, who missed the Friday's win against Salernitana due to muscular injury, is rated as doubtful.

Liverpool vs Inter Milan Prediction:

I expect both teams to score at Anfield. Liverpool won in Italy and Inter need to score at least twice to stay in life. The Nerazzurri won 5:0 on the last match against Salernitana and the attacking explosion was the spark they need. Both Lautaro and Dzeko were multiple scorers on that match and it is clear their confidence is higher. I believe they are able to find the back of the net again. Liverpool, meanwhile, have scored on each of the seven games played in the Champions League. The presence of Salah, Mane and Diaz guarantees efficiency, but there is more attacking power on the bench - Jota, Firmino, Minamino, Origi...

Liverpool vs Inter Milan Pick: Both teams to score - Yes @ 1.73 with Betfair

Manchester City will welcome Sporting CP at home.

Manchester City:
Manchester City beat their opponents by five goals in the first round, which has almost lost the suspense of the game. Under the pressure of championship competition in the league, Josep Guardiola may rotate the lineup of the team on home field in the 2nd round. In order to ensure the leading position in league, Manchester City beat Manchester United and cleared a major obstacle on the road to defending the title with pressing of Liverpool. The victory will boost Manchester City's morale for the next game.

Sporting CP:
Sporting CP won the Portuguese Super League championship again after 20 years in last season. And now they were run by Porto and Benfica. They still have good performance in the league, while they were hanged naked in the Champions League. Sporting CP may give up the Champions League in order to keep the league and Portuguese Cup. After all, the first round has made them hopeless. It is urgent to keep the top two of the league and strive to win in the Portuguese Cup for them.

Verdict:
In general, there is a great gap in the strength of the lineups between them. Combined with the first round, Sporting CP is likely to give up the struggle. The handicap first odd is Manchester City -2.25 with an ultra deep concession. If Manchester City slaughters the opponents in both rounds, it will be too embarrassing. I personally think that Manchester City will not score more than two goals in this game.

Real Madrid vs Paris Saint-Germain Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Real Madrid:
Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Marcelo; Camavinga, Valverde, Modric; Asensio, Benzema, Vinicius Jr

Paris Saint-Germain:
Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Mendes; Pereira, Gueye, Verratti; Messi, Mbappe, Neymar

Real Madrid welcome Paris Saint-Germain to Santiago Bernabeu in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie. A Kylian Mbappe strike in the referee time was enough for a narrow 1:0 win at Parc des Princes. It was a dramatic finish to a game that had looked set to end goalless. Previously, Lionel Messi missed a penalty and the fans were preparing to leave the stadium largely disappointed. But then came Mbappe's moment of inspiration. The striker, linked with a move to Real in the summer, received the ball on the left from by Neymar, and got between two defenders into the box before slotting through Thibaut Courtois' legs to secure an 1:0 win for the French champions. It was a deserved victory as Real failed to register a single shot on target.

Real Madrid are between the favorites for the trophy. The domestic form is very good, they won the last three matches in Primera Division. Ancelotti's men have beat Real Sociedad 4:1 on Saturday, after going a goal down inside the opening 10 minutes. Previously they secured victories against Alaves and Rayo Vallecano. Los Blancos have scored eight goals in the process, while conceded just one. The atmosphere in the squad is much better now, while the players confidence is surely higher. Ancelotti has some injury and suspension worries ahead of this match. Casemiro and Ferland Mendy picked up their third yellow cards of the tournament in the first leg and are banned for this one. Their absence is a huge handicap. Toni Kroos is sidelined with a hamstring injury, while Marcelo is rated as doubtful. On a positive note, Federico Valverde has recovered from flu and could replace Casemiro in the middle, while Eduardo Camavinga is ready to deputize Kroos if necessary.

Paris Saint-Germain are in poor form, they have suffered a painful defeat to Nice in the last league match. Andy Delort came off the bench to score the only goal of the game in the 88th minute. Coach Mauricio Pochettino is feeling a big pressure, a defeat in Madrid will probably resulted with his change. As You probably know, the Arab owners invested enormous money and they are no more satisfied with domestic titles. They want the Champions League, nothing less. But Pochettino has some issues ahead of this match. Mbappe took a stomp to the foot from Idrissa Gueye in training and he is rated as doubtful. His absence could be a huge handicap for Pochetino. Achraf Hakimi and Layvin Kurzawa may recover in time for this match, but Leandro Paredes and Ander Herrera are more uncertain. Georginio Wijnaldum may drop out of the midfield after another poor display during the weekend. Most probably he will leave the club at the end of the season. The former Real captain Sergio Ramos is sidelined with a calf injury, but asked to travel to Madrid with the squad.

Real Madrid vs Paris Saint-Germain Prediction:

Real Madrid are the most successful club in the history of the competition, they are 13-time winners. They are always favorites, against any other team. Plus, they have the home advantage. This could be very important as PSG coach is struggling in away matches in the competition. Pochettino failed to win any of his last four away games in the Champions League. However, PSG have experienced players able to make difference in match like this - Messi, Neymar and Mbappe. Considering these facts, I think the goals are the best option for this match. I expect an interesting match with goals on both sides.

Manchester United vs Atletico Madrid Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Manchester United:
De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Sancho, Fernandes, Pogba; Ronaldo

Atletico Madrid:
Oblak; Savic, Felipe, Reinildo; Llorente, De Paul, Koke, Herrera, Lodi; Felix, Correa

Manchester United and Atletico Madrid will be looking to secure a spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League when they face at Old Trafford for the second leg of their last-16 tie. The reverse fixture was played at Wanda Metropolitano and finished 1:1. Joao Felix's early header from Renan Lodi's inviting cross gave the hosts a dream start after just seven minutes. They controlled the result for almost 80 minutes, but United equalized through young Anthony Elanga. The 19-year-old had been on the pitch less than six minutes after replacing Marcus Rashford, when he raced onto Bruno Fernandes' perfectly-weighted pass to roll the ball past home goalkeeper Jan Oblak with his first touch to earn his side an 1:1 draw. Atletico were unlucky to not score late on themselves when Antoine Griezmann rattled the visitors crossbar.

Manchester United were not consistent so far in the Champions League. They started with a 2:1 defeat to Young Boys in Switzerland, but secured progress after obtained three wins and two draws on the remaining five matches. The Red Devils are also inconsistent in domestic Premier League in the last period. They lost 4:1 to Manchester City, shared the points with Watford, while on Sunday outplayed Tottenham with 3:2 at Old Trafford. It was "one-man show" as Cristiano Ronaldo scored all three goals against the Spurs. United will now switch their focus to the Champions League. To secure quarter-finals is extremely important for the interim coach Ralf Rangnick and his men. Most of the players are ready, including Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay. Fernandes was unavailable against Tottenham due to illness, Shaw missed out due to a positive COVID-19 test, while McTominay is struggling with a calf problem. Mason Greenwood remain out due to a club suspension.

Atletico Madrid were far from convincing in the group phase, winning just two of their six matches. However, it was enough for them to secure knock-out stage of the competition as they were better than Porto and AC Milan. The actual form is good, three wins on the last three matches in domestic La Liga. The Rojiblancos managed to beat Celta, Betis and Cadiz. They are currently on the fourth spot in the table, but huge 12 points behind league-leaders Real Madrid who have a match in hand. It is clear the Champions League is their only realistic chance of silverware this season. But coach Diego Simeone has big injury and suspension worries ahead of this match. He will be again without Yannick Carrasco through suspension, while Matheus Cunha, Daniel Wass, Sime Vrsaljko, Thomas Lemar, Mario Hermoso and Geoffrey Kondogbia are all injured. Jose Gimenez is rated as doubtful after suffering injury against Cadiz on Friday. Simeone has "sweet problems" about the attack as three players are looking for one starting spot - Angel Correa, Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez.

Manchester United vs Atletico Madrid Prediction:

I think Manchester United could win this match. There are two reasons for my pick. First, Atletico have some issues in the contests with English opposition in the last period. They lost twice against Liverpool in the group stage this season, while the previous season suffered elimination from Chelsea in Round of 16. The second reason is connect with Manchester United. They have player able to make difference - Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese international scored a brilliant hat-trick against Tottenham and his confidence is very high. He like to play against Atletico - CR7 has scored 25 goals against Simeone's men during his professional career, making them his favorite opposition.

Juventus vs Villarreal Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Juventus:
Szczesny; Danilo, Chiellini, De Ligt, Sandro; Cuadrado, Locatelli, Arthur, Pelligrini; Vlahovic, Morata

Villarreal:
Rulli; Aurier, Mandi, Torres, Pedraza; Coquelin, Parejo; Chukwueze, Lo Celso, Trigueros; Danjuma

Juventus and Villarreal go head-to-head in the return leg of their Champions League last-16 tie in Turin. The first match played in Spain finished with an 1:1 draw. Dusan Vlahovic scored after just 32 seconds, the second fastest Champions League goal ever. The 22-year-old Serb, a £58m signing from Fiorentina in January, ran onto Danilo's long ball before a swivel and clever finish. Tottenham loanee Giovani Lo Celso should have equalized in the 14th minute but, having been set up by a brilliant run from Pedraza, he could only find the angle of post and bar. The leveler came in the 66th minute when Dani Parejo ghosted in to finish from Capoue's aerial ball into the box. Vlahovic could score another in the finish of the match, running onto a pass from Morata, but his shot was saved by Geronimo Rulli. Villarreal pushed for a winner but definitely missed injured attacker Gerard Moreno. Alegri was fortunate to end with 11 men as Adrien Rabiot was only booked for a dangerous foul on Chukwueze.

Juventus have registered five victories in the group stage of the competition, but also suffered a high 4:0 defeat to Chelsea. It is clear they lacked consistency. The fans are not satisfied with the results and Allegri feels huge pressure, particularly because the Scudetto is lost. On Saturday they beat Sampdoria in Genoa 3:1. An own goal from Maya Yoshida alongside Alvaro Morata's brace propelled Juve to the third consecutive victory in Serie A. The players confidence is higher, but Alegri has some injury issues ahead of this game. Midfielder Denis Zakaria is rated as doubtful after picked up a muscular injury in the first leg. Weston McKennie and Federico Chiesa are definitely sidelined, as well as Kaio Jorge. Allegri is optimistic that the duo of Paulo Dybala and Giorgio Chiellini will return for this match, but the situation with Leonardo Bonucci is more complicated. He is struggling with a muscle injury in his left calf and most probably won't be risked here.

Villarreal finished as second in the group, but showed some weaknesses against the favorites. The Yellow Submarine lost twice to Manchester United, however, they beat Atalanta as guests in the last round. It is clear they do know what it takes to get the better of Italian sides on their own turf. The actual form is mixed, Villarreal have two wins and one defeat on the last three matches in La Liga. During the weekend they managed to beat Celta Vigo with 1:0 thanks to the second-half strike by Parejo. The atmosphere in the squad is positive and they will try to make surprise in Turin. Coach Unai Emeri will be missing the key striker Gerard Moreno again. His absence is a huge handicap as Arnaut Danjuma is not a bad player, but still not as good as Moreno. Ruben Pena and Paco Alcacer are also sidelined, while Etienne Capoue and Juan Foyth are rated as doubtful. Centre-back Raul Albiol had to be taken off at half time against Celta Vigo due to hamstring discomfort and he is also a doubt.

Juventus vs Villarreal Prediction:

I think Juventus are closer to the quarter-finals. The Old Lady play at home and this is a huge advantage, despite the fact Villarreal beat Atalanta in Bergamo in December. The Italian side are unbeaten in their last six home games in the Champions League, winning five of them. More important, Juve have players able to make difference, like Vlahovic and Morata. On contrary, Villarreal are missing the key striker Gerard Moreno due to injury. His absence is a huge handicap and I think the guests will be eliminated.

I expect Draw and then Penalties. But I really hope United win in the 90th minutes. It will be another show for Ronaldo or another disasterclass from BigHead.

Ajax to win
Ajax are massive favourites against Benfica.

But they're in their worst form of the season so far. Maybe Ajax still win but Benfica at +2 8/11 look decent value.

Man utd # atl madrid over 1.5 and over 0.5 2half or home or draw

C. Ronaldo will be a huge factor in this game. He just got a hat trick that made him the top goal scorer of all time and he has historically been an absolute beast against Atl. Madrid. I feel like Man. United has been in a great form in the last 6 games, excluding the game against Man. City.

Atl. Madrid is in a decent form as well but I just don't think they have what it takes to score more than Man. United
