Hi guys, am opening this thread for us to share ideas which I believe really matter. Many bettors often tend to ignore the type of bookmaker they have to go for and focus solely on odds offered. From experience I think having an account with an exchange and another with a sportsbook is great for any given betting strategy. What do you guys think? Do you fancy sportsbooks or you are more inclined towards exchanges? And why?

I think it all boils down to each and everyone's betting preferences and betting approach. Some prefer exchanges and others prefer sportsbooks, personally, I'm caught up between both. Being a newbee to the betting world, I'd advice you to stick first with sportsbooks, and after you must have gained some experience you can switch to exchanges. And speaking about sportsbooks, vip-ibc is one of the best betting softwares which can help you place bets with the highest sportsbooks odds. Of course you can also do some research and find out other alternatives but I doubt you'll find anything better!

Regarding exchanges specifically, we all know Betfaire is right up there and apart from Orbit (their mirror site), there is no match for them.

With my betting and trading techniques I find the in-play scenarios offered by Betfair are more useful and the 5% commission is low when you can often gain better starting price odds and in-play value and even less commission if you use Betdaq.
I have heard so many stories over the years of bookmaker accounts being closed or limited as soon as you start winning or using various arbing techniques. I think the laws on bookmakers being able to limit the winners but readily welcoming the losing punters are poor and very bet unfair.

I'm in fr and can't access betfaire. I'm thinking of either opening orbit with the broker bet-ibc or contacting acc-ex, as from what i've heard they can offer real ones, any idea about that?

I guess every country has different ideas about what constitutes gambling/risk Giresse but I am not sure about what potential third parties may have to offer in terms of being able to hook you up as I have never needed to look to be honest.
If you have people/relatives in the U.K to set up a BF account maybe you could access it from France using a UK - VPN? Just a thought.
I use the Fairbot platform linked to BF as the ladder interface is much easier to use than the standard grid option on BF.

Definately Sportsbook, plus bonuses are a big plus.

unless you r ready to meet the big rollover requirement attach too bonuses, i suggest to avoid them, i also like sportsbooks more than échanges becasue i don"t lay much

I am new to the world of betting and I believe that exchanges are a reliable way to place bets.

Betting exchange if you are going to use live betting a lot. Bookmaker if you are a traditionalist that don't want to be confused with the "back" and "lay" buttons.
