Rennes vs Arsenal Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Rennes:
Koubek; Zeffane, Silva, Mexer, Bensebaini; Sarr, Andre, Grenier, Niang; Ben Arfa; Hunou

Arsenal:
Cech; Maitland-Niles, Mustafi, Papastathopoulos, Kolasinac; Xhaka, Torreira; Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Iwobi; Aubameyang

Rennes are in series of positive results in UEFA Europe League. The French outfit finished the group phase with two victories over Jablonec (1:0) and Astana (2:0) that were enough for securing knock-out stage. Rennes were the underdogs to progress against Betis in the last 32, but a 6:4 aggregate victory showed they are dangerous to be underestimated. Julien Stephan's men are doing well in domestic competitions too. They have secured semi-finals in the Coupe de France and have collected seven points on the last four matches in Ligue 1. Rennes managed to beat Amiens and St Etienne, shared the points with Marseille, while lost only to Reims. One thing that is concerning coach Stephan is the fact his defense have not kept a clean sheet against a Ligue 1 opposition since February 10. The other problem is connect with the fact some players are unavailable due to injuries and suspension. Defender Hamari Traore is out suspended, while five more players are struggling with injury. Jordan Siebatcheu, Romain Danze, Abdoulaye Diallo and Ludovic Baal are definitely sidelined, while James Lea Siliki is rated as doubtful. On the positive note, Benjamin Andre is available after serving a ban in the last Europa League outing.

Arsenal are between the favorites for the trophy in this competition. The Gunners finished as first in their group, ahead of Sporting Lisbon, Vorskla Poltava and Qarabag. Unai Emery's men had five victories and just one draw in the group. They successfully continued in the knock out stage, even lost 1:0 to BATE Borisov in Belarus. Arsenal won 3:0 in the second-leg match and qualified into the last 16. The Gunners scored inside four minutes when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's cross was turned in by Bate defender Zakhar Volkov. Shkodran Mustafi made it 2:0 before the break with a powerful header, while substitute Sokratis Papastathopoulos headed in the third goal after an hour. Granit Xhaka should also be mentioned, he provided two assists in that game. The domestic form is also good, Arsenal have two wins and one draw on the last three matches in the Premier League. Last weekend they played an 1:1 draw with Tottenham at Wembley. Emery will try to continue the positive series, though he has some injury and suspension issues. Danny Welbeck, Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding are sidelined through injuries, while Alexandre Lacazette, will serve the second of a three-match ban for his sending off against BATE Borisov in the previous round.

Rennes vs Arsenal Prediction:

I expect both teams to score at Roazhon Park. Rennes and Arsenal are in solid form and the players confidence is high. Rennes played two very efficient matches against Betis in the previous round - they secured a 6:4 aggregate victory. The first match finished with a 3:3 draw, while Rennes won 3:1 in the second. Arsenal, meanwhile, have scored 11 goals on the last four matches across all competitions. Considering theses facts, I expect goals in France.

One of the most important games of the evening is undoubtedly this one in Frankfurt between Eindracht and Inter, where it is expected to be a nice match. The two teams find the edge from the center and front, but defensively have their subjects. Absolutely logical is the choice to score both teams

Sevilla may not be in its best form, but the Europa League is going too far, as we do not forget that it is the polish. Besides, the fact that Slavia Prague was a good chance to pass without any problems in the quarter-finals of the event. The Andalusian players can give a rhythm to the game and get a lot of goals
