Osasuna vs Atletico Madrid Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Osasuna:
Herrera; Pena, Catena, D. Garcia, Cruz; Munoz, Torro, Oroz; Avila, Budimir, Mojica

Atletico Madrid:
Oblak; Savic, Gimenez, Hermoso; Molina, Saul, Llorente, Koke, Lino; Griezmann, Morata

Osasuna will host Atletico Madrid at Estadio El Sadar on Thursday night. The Bask's outfit are in the middle of the table with seven points, however their actual form is poor. Osasuna are without a victory on the last three matches, losing two of them. The defeat from Barcelona was somehow expected and could be swallowed, but the other two matches left the fans disappointed. They lost 3:2 to Getafe, conceding a goal in the 86th minute and played a goalless draw with Sevilla last weekend, despite having 16 shots. Unfortunately, just two of them were on target and none of them found the back of the net. Coach Jagoba Arrasate has lot of issues ahead of this match, starting from the home form. Osasuna have failed to win any of their first four home matches in all competitions, losing three times and scoring just two goals in the process. It is not impossible Arrasate to make some changes in attack, with Raul Garcia and Kike Barja ready to replace some of the attacking trio Ezequiel Avila, Ante Budimir and Johan Mojica. In term of injuries, Jon Moncayola and Darko Brasanac are definitely sidelined, while Unai Garcia is rated as doubtful.

Atletico Madrid ended a two-match winless run on Sunday. After a painful 3:0 defeat at Valencia and an 1:1 draw with Lazio in the Champions League, the Rojiblancos outplayed Real Madrid recording a 3:1 win. Alvaro Morata was the key name on the match after scoring twice for Atletico. The first goal came in the fourth minute when former Real forward converted Samuel Lino's dangerous cross. Antoine Griezmann then made it 2:0 with another header, but Toni Kroos halved the deficit before half-time. However, Morata secured the victory in the beginning of the second half. Saul Niguez should also be mentioned as he provided two assists. Coach Diego Simeone was happy with the victory against the city rivals, but there is no time for celebration. He is still without Thomas Lemar, Pablo Barrios, Caglar Soyuncu, Rodrigo De Paul, Reinildo and Vitolo due to injury. On the positive note, captain Koke has recovered from a hamstring injury and played against Real Madrid. Striker Memphis Depay has overcame a muscle problem and featured in the derby as a substitute.

Osasuna vs Atletico Madrid Prediction:

Atletico Madrid should win this match. There are three reasons for my pick. The first is connect with Osasuna's current form. Los Rojillos have two defeats and just one draw on the last three matches in La Liga. The second reason is connect with Atletico. They managed to beat Real Madrid on Sunday and the players confidence is very high at the moment. Finally, the last reason is connect with the recent H2H record. Osasuna have not beaten Atletico Madrid in Pamplona since February 2014.
