Milan have mixed results in the last period. The Rossoneri have one win, one draw and one defeat on the last three matches across all competitions. First they dropped two points against Lecce playing a 2:2 draw. Milan had a 2:0 lead until the finish, but Lecce scored twice. It could be even worse, but VAR decision saved Milan from a shameful defeat. After that Milan beat 1:0 Fiorentina, but then suffered a painful 3:1 home defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. The inconsistency is a big problem for coach Pioli, but not the only one. He will be without many important players. Up front he will be without two key players as Rafael Leao is injured and Olivier Giroud is suspended. The French forward has scored 7 goals, while Leao three. Noah Okafor (2 goals) is also sidelined with a hamstring injury. But Pioli has defensive problems too. Simon Kjaer, Pierre Kalulu and Marco Pellegrino are all sidelined. Ismael Bennacer is out too. Finally, Marco Sportiello and Mattia Caldara are both rated as doubtful.
Frosinone sit on the 10th place and coach Eusebio Di Francesco is doing an excellent job. The fans are also satisfied with the fact their club is out of the relegation zone. Last week they won 2:1 against Genoa at Stadio Benito Stirpe. Matias Soule and Ilario Monterisi were the scorers on that match. Just to mention, Frosinone scored a 94th-minute winner and the fans enjoyed the victory very much. The overall form is good, they have two wins on the last three matches in Serie A, beating also Empoli. But all victories came at home. The newly promoted side have a poor record on the road this season and they are yet to win away from home. To be worse, their last four away trips in Serie A have all been lost. Frosinone suffered defeats at Roma, Bologna, Cagliari and Inter. The players confidence isn't high when they play away from home and it is difficult to see them improving the poor record this weekend at San Siro. Most of the players are ready, only Abdou Harroui and Sergio Kalaj are rated as doubtful.
Milan vs Frosinone Prediction:
Milan are odds-on favorites to collect three points from this game. However coach Pioli has lot of injury worries. Frosinone are poor travelers, though their overall scoring form is solid. Frosinone found the back of the net on six of the previous seven league matches. I think they are able to upset the favorites and to score at San Siro, at least.
