Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Crystal Palace:
Guaita; Clyne, Kouyate, Cahill, Van Aanholt; Schlupp, Milivojevic, McArthur, Eze; Batshuayi, Zaha

Liverpool:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson; Wijnaldum, Henderson, Jones; Salah, Firmino, Mane

Crystal Palace host the reigning champions at Selhurst Park this Saturday at lunchtime. The Eagles are in the middle of the table with 18 points, but a victory here could see them climbing closer to the European spots. The actual form is solid, they have one win and two draws in the last three rounds. First they destroyed West Bromwich Albion winning 5:1. Even more, the victory was obtain away from home. Palace took advantage of the controversial dismissal of Matheus Pereira to claim their highest victory this season. Wilfried Zaha was the player of the match with two goals and an assist. Christian Benteke should also be mentioned for his brace. In the next round Crystal Palace played an 1:1 draw with title pretenders Tottenham. Jeffrey Schlupp was the hero on that match after scoring the equalizer in the 81st minute. In the last round Palace shared the points with West Ham playing another 1:1 draw. This time Benteke was in the focus. The former Liverpool striker, who joined the Eagles in August 2016 for a club record £27m, scored in the 34th minute to prove his fine form, but later was dismissed by referee David Coote. Interesting to be mentioned, two of the past three occasions that a player has both scored a goal and then been sent off in a Premier League game have been Palace players - Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha against Southampton in January 2019. It is a huge handicap for manager Roy Hodgson that Benteke won't play due to suspension. Mamadou Sakho, another ex-Liverpool player, is rated as doubtful, while Connor Wickham, Wayne Hennessy and Nathan Ferguson are sidelined.

For the first time since October, Liverpool are the leaders on the table thanks to the Wednesday's victory over Tottenham. It was an interesting derby, both teams had good opportunities, but Liverpool won 2:1 at the end. The Reds went ahead when Mohamed Salah's shot took a strange deflection off Eric Dier and looped over goalkeeper Lloris. The Spurs equalized seven minutes later through Son. Tottenham had two golden opportunities in the second half, but failed to score and then regretted. It was Roberto Firmino who netted the winning goal and deserved the glory. He ran towards the Kop to share the emotions with the fans. The Brazilian was excellent all night, but one young player should also be mentioned. Curtis Jones was outstanding, playing way beyond his years and lead the attacking threats at 19 years of age. Central defender Rhys Williams was another teenager that produced an excellent performance, even his direct opponent was Harry Kane. But the victory against Tottenham should be forget as new challenge is coming - the away match at Crystal Palace. Even more as the away form is poor, just seven points from six games. Liverpool's home and away performance could be described as 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde' syndrom. While Klopp's men have a perfect home record, they haven't won as guests in the Premier League since September. The injury situation is probably the reason for such poor results outside Anfield. Both centre-backs Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez remain long-term injury victims. Their absence is a huge handicap, but there is more. Diogo Jota, Kostas Tsimikas, Xherdan Shaqiri and James Milner are also sidelined. Joel Matip, who missed the match on Wednesday night through injury, was back in training on Thursday. His experience could be very important for this visit. Naby Keita, Neco Williams and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have recovered and will be pushing for starts. Thiago Alcantara is now back to the training process, although he will not be available until the New Year.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Prediction:

Liverpool have no win on the last five away league matches, but scored in each of them. And, of course, conceded every time. Crystal Palace have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their past 12 matches. But at the same time the Eagles have scored in all but one home games in the Premier League. I believe this will be an interesting match with goals on both sides.

Everton vs Arsenal Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Everton:
Pickford; Holgate, Mina, Keane, Godfrey, Kenny; Iwobi, Gomes, Doucoure, Richarlison; Calvert-Lewin

Arsenal:
Leno; Holding, Luiz, Tierney; Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Ceballos, Saka; Pepe, Lacazette, Aubameyang

Everton welcome Arsenal at Goodison Park with a chance to make it three wins in a row. The Toffees are fifth on the table with 23 points from 13 matches. Manager Carlo Ancelotti is doing a fantastic job and the fans are satisfied, as well as the club officials. Everton managed to beat two tough opponents in the last two rounds. First they beat Chelsea with 1:0. Hosting 2.000 supporters for the first time this season, a hard-fought victory came courtesy of Gylfi Sigurdsson's first-half penalty after goalkeeper Mendy fouled Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Ancelotti's men had only 28% possession in that match which is their lowest on record in a single Premier League game they went on to win since 2003/04. But nobody will mention the ball possession, the victory is what matters most. In the last round Everton managed to beat fellow Champions League hopefuls Leicester City at King Power Stadium with 2:0. Richarlison opened the result after 21 minutes. It was his first goal in seven Premier League games and his fifth in all competitions this season. Everton doubled their advantage in the 72nd minute, after defender Mason Holgate scored his first Everton goal in his 69th appearance. The players confidence is high and the Toffees will try to register the third consecutive victory. Most of the players are ready, but the big problem is the possible absence of Allan. Nevertheless, the midfield trio of Doucoure, Iwobi and Andre Gomes should do the job. Defender Lucas Digne is rated as doubtful for this match, but Seamus Coleman could be back.

Arsenal have made their worst start to a season after 13 rounds since 1974/75 season. They are huge 10 points adrift of fourth-placed Leicester City and don't look ready to challenge for a top-four spot. On contrary, the Gunners are just five points away from the relegation zone. The fans are disappointed, they are not used to see their team fighting for survival. Manager Mikel Arteta is under enormous pressure and he is in desperate need of a victory. A defeat at Goodison Park could easily lead to his departure. Arsenal were in series of three defeats prior to Tuesday's clash with Southampton. They lost 2:1 to Wolverhampton, lost 2:0 to Tottenham and lost 1:0 to Burnley. An 1:1 draw with the Saints can be considered a success of sorts. Theo Walcott opened the scoring on his return to the Emirats, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalized in the 52nd minute. The Gabonese striker has ended the club's run of 797 minutes in the Premier League without a goal from open play. The lack of discipline is another problem for Arteta. Since his first match in charge in December 2019, Arsenal have been shown seven red cards, four more than any other club in the competition in that period. Two players are suspended after both were sent-off in the last two rounds. Captain Granit Xhaka is one of them after being sent off for grabbing Ashley Westwood's throat during the loss to Burnley. Defender Gabriel Magalhaes picked up two yellow cards in the draw with Southampton and will now serve a one-match suspension. In addition, two more players are struggling with injuries. Thomas Partey and Gabriel Martinelli are sidelined with muscle and knee injury respectively.

Everton vs Arsenal Prediction:

Everton are in good form, they play at home, the confidence is high and I believe they will score. The question is about Arsenal, are they able to score here. Arteta is under pressure, but he was mentored by one of the best coaches in the World, Pep Guardiola, while working as an assistant at Manchester City. I think he will find a way to restore the players confidence. Aubameyang finally scored in the last round and I think the Gunners are able to upset Pickford. Everton managed to keep just one clean sheet as hosts this season.

Tottenham vs Leicester City Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Tottenham:
Lloris; Doherty, Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon; Sissoko, Hojbjerg; Lucas, Ndombele, Son; Kane

Leicester City:
Schmeichel; Fofana, Evans, Fuchs; Castagne, Ndidi, Tielemans, Justin; Maddison, Barnes; Vardy

Tottenham host Leicester City in the derby match of this round. The two teams are separated by just a single point. Tottenham are favorites, mainly due to the home advantage. They are in nice home form, winning the previous three matches at new White Hart Lane. Manchester City and Arsenal were among the teams that were beaten. Lloris kept the net untouched on both occasions as Tottenham won 2:0. However, the Spurs are winless in the last two matches. An 1:1 draw at Crystal Palace last weekend was a disappointing result, but on Wednesday was even worse - they lost 2:1 to Liverpool. Losing to the reigning champions at Anfield isn't a shame, but the way they lost is painful. Tottenham were unlucky to concede after Salah's shot took a strange deflection off Eric Dier and looped over goalkeeper Lloris. Son Heung-Min equalized seven minutes later through fast counterattack. The second half saw two big opportunities for the Spurs. First Bergwijn hit the post, while then Kane's header missed the target. When You miss such opportunities in football, it is normal to be punished. Bergwijn was heavily criticized after the match, but Jose Mourinho has leapt to the Dutchman's defense. The fans are desperate to end a 60-year wait for title. However, Tottenham are still in the race and they will not give up easily. The North London outfit are just three points behind Liverpool ahead of the weekend. Mourinho has the key players ready for this match. Son and Harry Kane, who have accounted for 80% of Tottenham's goals this season, should lead the attack. Kane love to play against the Foxes, he has scored 14 goals in 10 league games against them, his best record against a specific opponents. Mourinho has two injury worries as Erik Lamela and Japhet Tanganga are sidelined. Gareth Bale, who missed the match against Liverpool due to illness, has recovered.

Leicester City have made a strong start this season, just as they did last year. The Foxes have collect 24 points, one less than their actual opponents. Overall, they have eight victories and five defeats so far in the Premier League. The "all-or-nothing" philosophy marked their campaign as they haven’t had a single draw. In their most recent fixtures, Leicester were beaten at home from Everton. Previously Brendan Rodgers' side managed to beat Sheffield United and Brighton. It wasn't easy against the bottom-placed Blades, but Jamie Vardy's goal in the 90th minute secured the victory. It was much easier against the Seagulls when Leicester won 3:0. James Maddison, who assisted Vardy on the previous match, scored twice in Leicester's fantastic first-half display. Jamie Vardy, who celebrated his 222nd Premier League appearance for the Foxes, scored the remaining goal. He has been directly involved in 14 goals in his 12 league matches this season. The atmosphere in the squad is good, while the players confidence is high. Most of the fans are hoping for another miracle. Why not, they proved "nothing is impossible" in 2016. Leicester have also secured the knock-out stage in UEFA Europe League. They will face Slavia Prague from Czech Republic in February. Rodgers has two injury worries ahead of this match. Caglar Soyuncu and Ricardo Pereira remain on the sidelines, with Soyuncu perhaps in contention for the upcoming fixtures against Manchester United and Crystal Palace. On the positive note, Timothy Castagne is set to be included in the squad for the first time in eight weeks after overcoming a hamstring injury. That's not all as Daniel Amartey has recovered from his own hamstring issue suffered back in October. Finally, Jonny Evans is back from his one-match ban after missing the Everton clash following a fifth booking of the campaign.

Tottenham vs Leicester City Prediction:

I expect an efficient match at Anfield. On one side are Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane, while Jamie Vardy on the other. Between them, Kane and Son have scored 20 of Tottenham's 25 goals in the Premier League this season. Leicester, meanwhile, have the excellent Vardy who netted 18 goals in his last 18 away league appearances. Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has a simple "win or lose" philosophy. The Foxes are the only side without draw after 13 rounds. Considering these facts, I expect at least three goals in London.

Chelsea vs West Ham Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Chelsea:
Mendy; James, Zouma, Silva, Chilwell; Kovacic, Kante, Mount; Pulisic, Giroud, Werner

West Ham:
Fabianski; Coufal, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek; Snodgrass, Benrahma, Fornals; Haller

Chelsea are looking for three points when they host city rivals West Ham at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have 22 points, one more than their actual opponents, but at the same time they are nine behind the league leaders Liverpool. It is clear this match is very important for Frank Lampard and his players. The Blues are in poor form lately, losing the last two matches in the Premier League. First they suffered a narrow 1:0 defeat at Goodison Park. The only goal came from a penalty after goalkeeper Mendy fouled Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Chelsea dominated during the game and had 72% possession, but several brilliant saves from goalkeeper Jordan Pickford prevented them from scoring. That's not all as Mason Mount was unlucky to hit the woodwork in the 81st minute. It was Chelsea's first Premier League away defeat of the season. But after the first, immediately came the second as they lost 2:1 at Molineux. Olivier Giroud gave an one-goal lead to his team in the 49th minute with Chelsea's first shot on target, but conceded twice in the final 25 minutes and suffered the third league defeat of the season. Most probably the fatigue is among the reasons - Chelsea had a busy schedule in the last period. As You probably know, they had a successful Champions League campaign. Lampard has three worries ahead of this match. Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who were both sidelined through hamstring injuries, trained with the squad on Friday and could start from the bench here. Defender Reece James is rated as doubtful with a knee injury

West Ham have a record of six victories, three draws and four defeats after 13 rounds. According to me, this is a solid result as they faced five of the "Big-6" opponents. This match with Chelsea is the last in that series. The Hammers registered some positive results in the process, like the memorable draw with Tottenham. The Spurs had three-goal lead until the 81st minute of the match, but the Hammers refused to give up. They scored three goals in the finish of the match to rescue a point in an astonishing comeback. West Ham become the first club in the Premier League history to avoid defeat in a game having trailed by three or more goals as late as the 81st minute. David Moyes' men have also outplayed Wolverhampton and high-flying Leicester City, beating them 4:0 and 3:0 respectively. The actual form is solid, one win and one draw on the last two matches. First they beat Leeds United with 2:1 thanks to the goals scored by Tomas Soucek and Angelo Ogbonna, while in the last round shared the points with Crystal Palace. Benteke, who was later sent off, gave the Eagles advantage in the 34th minute. However, Sebastien Haller scored a spectacular equalizer with an overhead kick in the 55th minute to earn the Hammers a point. Once again West Ham players showed they never give up. They have avoided defeat on each of the past three occasions in which conceded the first goal, gaining five points from losing positions in the Premier League this term. For this match Moyes has four injury worries. He revealed that Fabian Balbuena, who missed the fixture on Wednesday with a minor groin injury, need to be assessed before the match. Michael Antonio, who has been out of action since late November, is also doubtful with a hamstring problem. Jarrod Bowen picked up a knock against the Eagles and may be rested, while left-back Aaron Cresswell is also an injury doubt.

Chelsea vs West Ham Prediction:

West Ham are in better form at the moment. Chelsea have lost two in a row and the players confidence isn't high as previous. However, I believe Lampard will find a way to motivate his players. The quality is on Chelsea side, no doubt about that. The Blues have players able to make difference. That's the key reason for my pick.
