Just three days after Leicester City beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley they will face again in the Premier League. As Thomas Tuchel said, this is a second final, maybe even more important than the first one. The stake is very high, the Champions League spot for the next season. It is clear this is an extremely important clash in the battle for Top-4, particularly after the Liverpool's victory at West Bromwich on Sunday. Chelsea play very good since Tuchel replaced Lampard, but they suffered two defeats in a row. As I've mentioned above, they lost the cup final, while previously lost to Arsenal in the Premier League. This could affect the players confidence ahead of the most important part of the season. Tuchel also has some injury worries. Mateo Kovacic and Andreas Christensen were not included in the squad for the Saturday's final and they are rated as doubtful. The Croatian midfielder has missed the last 10 matches and lacks fitness, but could replace Jorginho who play poor in the last period. According to some experts, he is the reason for the last failures. Christensen, meanwhile, is nursing a hamstring injury and Tuchel revealed the defender is unlikely to return until next Sunday's match against Aston Villa. Some changes are expected, starting from the goalkeeper's position - Edouard Mendy should replace Kepa. The likes of Kurt Zouma, Ben Chilwell, Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic are fresh and they are all pushing for a place in the starting eleven.

Leicester City are enjoying the moment. They completed their collection with the FA Cup trophy. But the overall league form isn't at desired level. Brendan Rodgers' men have one win, one draw and one defeat on the last three matches. The Foxes dropped five points on two, relatively easy fixtures, playing an 1:1 draw with Southampton and losing 4:2 to Newcastle United. The only victory was obtained against Manchester United. The Foxes won 2:1, but this should not be overrated as Solskjaer played with B-squad, resting the key players due to busy schedule. These results additionally complicated their position in the battle for Top-Four. Rodgers has some injury issues too. He remains without long-term absentees James Justin and Harvey Barnes. But there is more. The Irishman suffered a major blow when Jonny Evans' muscle issue reoccurred during Saturday's final. His absence will be a huge handicap for Leicester. Wes Morgan (back) played on Saturday, but it is clear he is not 100% ready for another hard game. Kelechi Iheanacho failed to impress at Wembley and was consequently replaced by James Maddison in the second half. Most probably Rodgers will start only with Vardy in attack. It is clear the busy schedule is the biggest problem for Leicester's players. Rodgers is not blessed with the squad depth of his counterpart Tuchel and has limited options for rotation.

Chelsea vs Leicester City Prediction:

Leicester City managed to beat Chelsea with 2:0 in the Premier League on 19 January shortly before Lampard was replaced by Tuchel. They repeated the success in the Fa Cup final during the weekend. With both teams fighting for Champions League spot, this should be a truly intriguing clash. I thought Chelsea will lift the trophy in the cup, but they lost on Saturday. However, I expect the Blues to win now. The home advantage and the presence of fans could make the difference. And of course, the depth of the squad.

The Clarets have produced lot of problems to Liverpool in the last period and they are the first visiting team that won at Anfield in the Premier League after the series of 69 unbeaten matches. The whole pressure is on Liverpool as Burnley have 39 points and they are safe on the 15th place. They were involved into the relegation battle during the season, but managed to improved in 2021. Last season Burnley comfortably finished as 10th and they were out of any danger. However, manager Sean Dyche did a solid job, even he was under huge pressure during the season. The actual form is mixed, they have two wins and two defeats on the last four occasions in the Premier League. The Clarets managed to beat Wolverhampton and Fulham, but lost to West ham and Leeds United. The last one was very high, Burnley conceded four unanswered goals and lost 4:0. I believe the players confidence isn't at desired level. For this match Dyche has some injury issues. First goalkeeper Nick Pope is rated as doubtful due to a knee injury, so Bailey Peacock-Farrell is expecting to start again at the goal. Dale Stephens is also an injury doubt for the hosts, while Robbie Brady, Phil Bardsley and Kevin Long are definitely sidelined. Dyche could look to make changes following the poor display against Leeds last time out. Ashley Barnes, who scored the winning goal in the reverse fixture at Anfield, could lead the line.

Liverpool are in series of three victories, but still sit outside the Champions League spots. However, victories on the last two matches of the season could see them finishing on the fourth place. Chelsea and Leicester City - currently third and fourth - are the main opponents. Liverpool managed to register two important victories in the last two rounds. The first was against Manchester United at Old Trafford, a ground like no other for Jurgen Klopp. The German coach has no win previously, but a brace from Roberto Firmino and goals from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah secured his first success at the "Theater of dreams". The last match with West Bromwich was even more dramatic. Liverpool needed a win to stay in touch with Leicester and Chelsea, but they had come up against a fantastically well-organized opponents. It was 1:1 after the first 45 minutes. The Reds dominated during the second half, created chances and tried every way of forcing a winner. Nothing worked, until goalkeeper Alisson Becker came up for a corner right at the end to get such a vital goal. His teammates and coaching staff went into delirium, as well as every Liverpool fan who watched the game on television. They failed to impress so far and I expect more problems to come. Liverpool have just one clean sheet on the last six fixtures.
