Leicester City will host Arsenal as third-placed team, just after European Champions Liverpool and Premier League Champions Manchester City. The Foxes are definitely the most pleasant surprise of the season. Manager Brendon Rodgers is doing a fantastic job and the fans are fully satisfied. Most of them are hoping for Champions League spot, while some are dreaming about "new miracle". As You probably know, Leicester were surprise champions under Claudio Ranieri in the season 2015/16. A famous fan Leigh Herbert, whose bet netted him £20,000 when Leicester City won the Premier League as 5,000-1 outsiders, has backed them to win the title again this season. Only this time he had to make do with "measly" odds of 300-1 on the Foxes to repeat their fairytale triumph of three years ago. However, the actual form is excellent, they are in series of three victories in the Premier League. Even more, they have scored eleven goals on the last two matches and kept clean sheet on both. Two weeks ago the Foxes destroyed Southampton, winning 9:0 at St Mary. Last weekend they beat Crystal Palace 2:0, again as guests. Jamie Vardy play in excellent form, he become the first player that scored 10 Premier League goals this season. Since Brandon Rodgers' first league match in charge of Leicester City on 3 March, Vardy has scored 19 Premier League goals, 5 more than any other player. Rodgers has the majority of his players ready for this match, only Matty James remain sidelined. The Irishman could name the same eleven which began the last round's game with Crystal Palace.
Arsenal have 17 points and sit on the fifth place after 11 rounds. So far they have four victories, five draws and just two defeats. Nevertheless, the actual form could not be rated as good. The Gunners have no win on the last three matches in the Premier League. They lost 1:0 to Sheffield United, while shared the points with Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton. The fact they dropped seven of the possible nine points surely frustrated the fans. To be worse, the away form is poor, Arsenal have no win since the opening-day victory against Newcastle. Worst of all, the atmosphere in the squad is bad following the Xhaka incident. The Switzerland international clashed with his own fans after his substitution was greeted by sarcastic cheers in the match against Palace at the Emirates Stadium on 27 October. Xhaka, who was named Emery’s permanent captain two months ago, removed the captain’s armband, then removed the shirt and shouted "fu*k off" at his own fans before going straight down the tunnel. Most probably he won't play in this match as Emery continues to consider the midfielder future. Hector Bellerin and David Luiz are expected to feature at King Power after not playing in the Europa League, while Dani Ceballos is rated as doubtful after picking up a hamstring injury in Guimaraes.
Leicester City vs Arsenal Prediction:
Leicester City are in excellent form, they have three wins on the last three matches in the Premier League. The Foxes have scored 11 goals on the last two matches and the players confidence is very high. On contrary, Arsenal have no win on the last three league matches. The atmosphere in the squad is bad following the Xhaka's incident. I expect the Gunners to struggle again.
