Bournemouth welcome Manchester United to the Vitality Stadium this weekend. The Cherries sit ninth in the table with 13 points, however the actual form isn't at desired level. They are looking for the end of a series of five matches without a win in all competitions. What is worse, they have failed to find the back of the net in the last three consecutive games. Manager Eddie Howe must improve the attack.
Bournemouth lost 1:0 to Arsenal in London, while played goalless with Norwich City and Watford. Overall, they have a record of three victories, four draws and three defeats. Nevertheless, every story have two different sides. The true is Bournemouth failed to pose much of a threat in recent games against Norwich and Watford, but they kept clean sheet on both matches. They will not give up easily. Howe will remain without four injured players for this match - David Brooks, Dan Gosling, Junior Stanislas and Charlie Daniels. Youngster Brooks is close to full fitness and most likely will be ready for the next weekend's clash with Newcastle United. Gosling faces another month on the sidelines with a hip injury, while Stanislas and Daniels will be out until the end of December.
Manchester United are on the seventh place and they are targeting the Champions league spots. The actual form is good, they have three victories on the last three games across all competitions. The Red Devils first beat Serbian side Partizan Belgrade in UEFA Europe League thanks to Anthony Martial's lone goal from penalty. Next, they obtained an important 3:1 away win at Norwich. United won a Premier League away game for the first time since February. It was a strange game in which Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul had two penalty saves. Nevertheless, Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford and Martial managed to score from open play to secure a 3:1 win. Just to mention, Rashford and Martial become the first team-mates to score a goal and miss a penalty each in a Premier League game. The third victory came in the League Cup where United secured quarterfinals. The Red Devils won 2:1 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge thanks to Rashford's brace. The winning goal have to be mentioned, it was a sensational 30-yard free-kick in Ronaldo style. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer enjoys the moment. However, he has some injury worries ahead of this trip. Paul Pogba is still unavailable due to an ankle injury. The 26-year-old French international has been sidelined since the match with Arsenal at the end of September. Axel Tuanzebe and Diogo Dalot are also out due to injuries, while Nemanja Matic and Luke Shaw are rated as doubtful. Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah remain long-term absentees having undergone knee surgery earlier this year.
Bournemouth vs Manchester United Prediction:
I think Manchester United will win this match. The Red Devils are in series of three victories across all competitions and the players confidence is higher. Bournemouth, meanwhile, failed to score a single goal on the last three matches.
