got paid for a losing bet, they want money back!!

so on a bettingwebsite i thought i won pritty big bet the other day as the slip said i had won and i had the funds in my account so i withdrew most of the funds, then i checked my account the next day and what i left in there had gone so i checked the bet slip that i won the funds on and it said i had actually lost(so they had messed up but i had already withdrawn most of the funds). they say i need to pay them back when the money comes through into my bank account.

i might just cash the money out as soon as it appears in my bank account and say I've spent it and it's their fault and i can't pay them back, it's a 4 figure sum and will help me out alot in life. but will they dispute it?

would i even need to withdraw the funds or could i just leave them in there? i was thinking they could get it get it out my account somehow ?
not actually got the funds in my account yet.
what would you guys do?

If its a bank account then they cant do nothing once the money are in your account. Funds from bank accounts can be moved only from the owner of the account.
If its a credit card they can withdraw the funds. Credit cards can be used to pay online so if you used it on the site they can easily get the money by charging you.

It is up to you to decide what to do. I know they cant do nothing legaly. Anyway bookies are rich so you shouldnt worry so much, how much money did you win ?

I would take the money but thats me. Like Admin said these bookmakers definately wont go bankrupt because of that money.

Keep the money. But i would consider changing your bank. just to be sure and just open a betting account somewhere else

I agreed with jono just to keep the money and find another good bank that will surely fit your needs as well as opening an account for online betting.
