The current Nottingham season could be described as eventful. They started with Nuno Espirito Santo as manager, one of the club's most successful coaches in the last few decades. He was excellent last season as Forest were fighting for a Champions League spot until the last day. But club owner Evangelos Marinakis made a stupid decision. He sacked Nuno early in the season, something nobody was expecting. Indeed, the Portuguese tactician was handed a new contract this summer. But Nuno predicted the things are not good for him. In August he said that his relationship with Marinakis was "not the same" and "not so good as it was last season". Forest have taken four points from their opening three Premier League games and Marinakis triggered an action. He replaced Nuno with the former Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, an Australian coach with Greek origins. Nevertheless, Postecoglou failed to win any of his opening eight games and Mariinakis made a smart decision - Sean Dyche was appointed as new manager, third in the current season. He has just one injury worry ahead of this match as full-back Ola Aina is recovering from a hamstring surgery. But that's not all, Taiwo Awoniyi, Omari Hutchinson, Jair Cunha and Angus Gunn are all ineligible to play after being left out of the club’s Europa League list.
Porto have started the European campaign in the best possible way. They recorded two victories in the opening two rounds of the competition. First they beat Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg with 1:0, while in the second match won 2:1 against Serbian champions Crvena Zvezda. Porto will try to begin a European campaign with three wins in a row for the first time since 2012-13. They are also successful in domestic Primeira. In general, Porto are in good form, winning 10 of their 11 matches across all tournaments. Coach Francesco Farioli is doing a solid job and the fans are satisfied. At the moment Porto sit three points clear at the top of the table in Primeira. They played a goalless draw with Mourinho's Benfica in their last league match before the international break. Samu Aghehowa is in good form, he scored eight goals in nine appearances. Farioli will be missing four players - Luuk de Jong and Nehuen Perez remain out due to knee injuries, while Tomas Perez and Yann Karamoh are both ineligible to play in the competition.
Nottingham Forest vs Porto Prediction:
Nottingham Forest are in big crisis. The owner Marinakis replaced Nuno with Postecoglou, but the results remain poor. He made another change last weekend, sacking Postecoglou and appointing Sean Dyche as new manager. I think the players are confused, as well as the fans. Most of them loved Nuno and his change was a shocking news. On contrary, Porto are in good form, winning 10 and drawing one of their 11 matches across all competitions. The players confidence is high following the good results and I think the guests will win here. Europe is not a priority for Dyche, his main goal is to escape relegation. Just three days later Forest play against Bournemouth in the Premier League and Dyche is already focused on that match.
