Hi

A friend, whom I know only from online poker, asked me if I wanted in on a software that would automatically place bets on betfair for me in situations with positive expectation 24/7.

Here is how the program is supposed to function:
It will grab tips from web pages that offers free tips to the public and follow these tips by placing bets on betfair.
I can configure my own ROI/Bets requirements for tipsters.
It will also check the odds on bookies before it places a bet on betfair, this is a security function that makes sure that it never places a bet with 2 low odds.

What do you guys think? doomed to fail? Is it even possible to create something like this? Would it be legal to use it?

Its possible that a software like this exists, I havent even searched for it, but basically what he says is that you will follow someone's tips, nothing is guaranteed, I prefer to use my own picks.

I searched for it, and it seems nothing like this out there atm.

I can configure my own Roi(yield) and minimum picks record requirements so all the picks the program will be place will have been posted by someone who has beaten sports betting over time.

I was thinking about using the filter: 103% roi and over 200bets, that way I wont get any tips from users with belove 200 bets registered. Do you think that filter is strong enough?

Sounds okay, I dont use software, cause I am competitor and want to win with my own bets. However if you are after the money, why not, try it and tell us how profitable it is.

I have done some research on my own and as far as I can tell it wont be illegal to use it.

It uses betfairs API to communicate with betfair. Source: http://bdp.betfair.com/
And the tips are public available information so that has to be legal.
