Obradoiro (Xacobeo Blusens) and Gipuzkoa (Lagun Aro) have the same record (10-15) and stand
3 wins away from both the playoffs (first 8 teams) and the relegation zone(last 2 teams). So they
are relatively safe but also not good enough to enter the playoffs race.
Obradoiro has won just once since Muscala left the club to join the Atlanta Hawks. Since then
they have signed Berzins and Peterson to cover the gap but have suffered 4 consecutive defeats.
Junyent remains injured for the home side.
Gipuzkoa after starting the season with an impressive 8-6 record, had a big slump in 2014,
winning just 2 of their next 9 games. They also had to deal with the injury to guard Raul Neto who

Second leg of the Eurocup semifinal.In the first game Valencia grabbed a deserved 84-75 win although
they held even bigger differences during the match and went as high as +22(63-41) a little before the
end of the 3rd quarter.
Valencia have been in scintillating form all season despite a lot of injury problems that limited Perasovic's
rotation.That says a lot about the team's depth and mentality.The good news is the recovery of both
Aguilar and Lucic and only Lishchuk still remains out.
They are second in the Spanish League with just 3 defeats in 26 matches and ahead of Barcelona.
In the Eurocup their record of 12-9 is less impressive and probably a little misleading too about Valencia's
true strength, but is "excused" in part having faced a lot of injuries and some Euroleague-caliber teams
during the season such as Khimki Moscow,Unics Kazan and Alba Berlin.
Nizhny, one of the surprises of this Eurocup season so far, boast a 15-6 record and have been very strong
at home, having lost in their ground just once against Ankara but today's opponent is much stronger from
the opposition they have faced so far.
They have a mountain to climb and look for a small miracle because they need not just a win but also a 10
point difference to make it to the final.
I believe Valencia will play to win today and not just try to defend the 9-point lead they have secured from
the first leg.I reckon they will be too strong for Nizhny and quite strangely are considered outsiders for this
game!

Madrid and CSKA who have already secured the top two spots in Group F.
The games between Olympiakos and Panathinaikos are usually full of intensity, defensive-
oriented and low scoring affairs but I reckon today's game will be a little different for two
crucial reasons.
Firstly, the match isn't deciding any qualification or even home court advantage for the
playoffs and both will be looking just for a prestige win.So there should be less pressure for
the players and we may see more free-flowing game from both sides.
Secondly, Panathinaikos' defensive pillar, Gabonese center Lasme, is questionable as he
missed yesterday's training with flu-like symptoms.Even if he plays at this point it's doudtful
how much he will be able to help and coach Alvertis may choose to rest him instead.
The under/over line is predictably low at 140 points and considering the special
circumstances of the game, going with the over is a sensible choice.

Maccabi Tel-Aviv is the favourite at this point to win the series after dominating
game 3 on Monday with a convincing 75-63 victory.They just need a win at home
to reach the Final Four for the first time in 3 years but will face a determined
Milan team who knows it's make or break time.
Milan have only themselves to blame for the situation they are in, after throwing
away a 10-point lead in the last 90 seconds of Game 1 and eventually losing the
match in overtime!
Otherwise the visitors have been in fine form these last weeks despite a few injury
problems. Their characteristically solid defense should again be their main weapon
tonight. They shot just 32% from the field on Monday and in a team that includes
Euroleague's top scorer Keith Langford, it's difficult to see that happening again.
Tel-Aviv is surely a tough place to play and win for any team but the odds are
clearly underestimating Milan's chances.The game will probably go down to the
wire tonight and I think the visitors will get the crucial win to send the series back
