The Arizona Wildcats take a trip up into the Northwest to visit the Washington State Cougars who they’ve beat 17 times in the last 18 meetings. Arizona sits alone atop the PAC-12 with a 10-1 record and can extend that lead with another win Thursday night against Washington State who also has been hot in conference play while winning 5 straight games. No.4 Arizona is 20-2 and currently have a 4-game win streak after their last loss to UCLA over a month ago and they’re winning with their size and strength. The Wildcats roster includes a pair of 7’ centers and a 6’ll’’ forward that are talented and are a big reason why they’re considered a favorite to win it all in April.
Washington State is right in the 4th spot in the PAC-12 at 7-3 and can make up some ground but they have a tough schedule ahead of them. They still have to play Oregon and UCLA both on the road and both are ahead of them in standings. However, the Cougars are streaking at the right time and have some momentum stemming from their recent wins in the Bay Area in which they swept Stanford and Cal on the road for the first time since 1993. Going into their matchup with the Wildcats they’re looking to keep up with their winning ways as they try to size up with their own big men in hopes to get just a 2nd win in the last 19 tries in the series.
