But what is the Ramsey curse after all?

During his stay at Arsenal, the Welshman Aaron Ramsey was the target of a bad joke that won the internet.

Developed by Arsenal before being hired by Juve, the midfielder who currently plays for Nice, and who was in the Wales national team for the 2022 World Cup, became known for a terrible "curse".

It is a morbid "joke" that some Arsenal fans started to do every time Ramsey scored: every time the athlete scored a goal, shortly after a celebrity died.

So every time the Welshman scored, some fans took to social networks to make fun of the situation... and keep an eye on the news to find more coincidences.

The alleged curse gained emphasis after the terrorist Osama Bin Laden was killed one day after the Welshman scored a goal for Arsenal against Manchester City in the English Premier League in 2011. The same occurred before the death of Apple founder Steve Jobs in the same year.

Also on the list are actors Paul Walker, star of Fast and Furious, who died in November 2013; Robin Williams, in August 2014; Alan Rickman, known for his role as Severe Snape in the Harry Potter saga, in January 2016. Among other names, such as former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, are American boxer Rubin Carter and physicist Stephen Hawking.

And even the disallowed goal started to be taken into account, as in the most recent example in which the goal scored against Monaco, in the French Ligue 1 2022/23, made people correlate it to the death of Queen Elizabeth II of England.

When asked about the matter, the Welshman called the theory "ridiculous" and a "bad joke", but also tried to see the bright side of the situation: "This is a crazy rumor. But I have 'cursed' some villains!", he declared in an interview with Sport Magazine.

Importantly, Ramsey has scored many times without fans being able to find any connection to a notable death. Still, don't be surprised if in the coming days, especially with the World Cup on the horizon, someone blames the Welshman for yet another tragedy in the celebrity world.
