Newcastle United vs Arsenal Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Newcastle United:
Dubravka; Trippier, Lascelles, Burn, Targett; Longstaff, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Almiron, Wilson, Saint-Maximin

Arsenal:
Ramsdale; Cedric, Tomiyasu, White, Tavares; Xhaka, Elneny; Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Nketiah

Arsenal will try to keep their Champions League hopes alive when they visit Newcastle United to St James Park on Monday. The Magpies are out of the relegation battle as they have collect 43 points. They occupy the 14th place at the moment and it seems they have nothing to play for. Nothing but the pride. Howe's men have a mixed results in the last period. They had registered four victories and two defeats on the last six matches. They managed to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Norwich, while suffered defeats in the last two rounds. Considering the defeats came against two top sides in the Premier League - Liverpool and Manchester City - I could evaluate the finish of the season as good. The home form is also solid, they only lost to Liverpool at St James Park in 2022. Howe is still without the long-term absentees Jamal Lewis and Isaac Hayden, while Jonjo Shelvey, Federico Fernandez and former Arsenal man Joe Willock are also sidelined. Long-term absentees Callum Wilson and. Kieran Trippier, have returned and could take part in the match after came in as substitutes last weekend.

Arsenal sit on the fourth place with 66 points and they must win here to keep the last Champions League spot. In fact, they are fifth after Tottenham beat Burnley, but Arsenal have a match in hand. And of course, they need a positive result on this match. The actual form is hard to be evaluated. The Gunners have four wins in the last five league matches, but heavily lost to Tottenham in the North London derby three days ago. The atmosphere in the squad isn't good like previously, while the players confidence is lower. To be worse, Arteta has some injury and suspension worries ahead of this match. Defender Gabriel Magalhaes suffered a muscular injury against Tottenham and he is rated as doubtful for this match. Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey are definitely sidelined. To be worse, Rob Holding saw a red card against Tottenham and he is suspended. Arteta must improvise in the back-line, so Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White should form the centre-back pairing here. Even that isn't 100 percent sure as White is questionable. Gabriel Martinelli is also rated as doubtful and needs assessing after coming off injured late on. Arteta might decide to start with Emile Smith Rowe.

Newcastle United vs Arsenal Preview:

I expect an interesting match at St James Park, however Arsenal are closer to the victory. The motivation is the key reason for my pick. While Newcastle have nothing to play for, Arsenal are fighting for a Champions League spot. The second reason is connect with the recent mutual results. Arsenal won the last eight matches in a row. Furthermore, the Magpies failed to score a single goal on the last seven. Maybe they will score now, but I don't believe they will escape the defeat.

Southampton vs Liverpool Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Southampton:
Forster; Walker-Peters, Bednarek, Salisu, Perraud; Redmond, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, S. Armstrong; Adams, Broja

Liverpool:
Alisson; Gomez, Matip, Konate, Tsimikas; Jones, Henderson, Naby Keita; Jota, Firmino, Luis Diaz

Liverpool continue their quadruple pursuit with Tuesday's match against Southampton at St Mary's. The Saints have had 10 days since the last match against Brentford and this fact should not be underestimated. As You probably know, the Reds played 120 minutes in the FA Cup final on Saturday. Southampton are 15th with 40 points and their situation is clear - they are not in position to challenge for Europe, but at the same time they are out of relegation dogfight. The actual form is poor, three defeats and just one draw on the last two matches in the Premier League. The Saints shared the points with Brighton, but lost the matches against Burnley, Crystal Palace and Brentford. To be worse, Southampton have lost seven of their 10 most recent league matches, as many defeats as in their opening 26 fixtures of the season. The poor form and low confidence is a big problem for Hasenhuttle. He will be missing the long-term absentee Valentino Livramento, while Fraser Forster and Stuart Armstrong are rated as doubtful due to back and knee injury respectively. Some changes are possible after the high defeat from Brentford, with Oriol Romeu coming in midfield and Che Adams in attack.

When it looked like Liverpool lost the chance for the title, Manchester City dropped two points against West Ham on Sunday and make the battle very interesting. The Citizens have 90 points, while Liverpool have 86 and a match in hand. That means they could come within one point in case of victory here. Liverpool will host Wolverhampton in the last round, while City welcome Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa. The Reds' fans hope that Gerrard could surprise the reigning champions to help his old love. But Liverpool must do their homework first, meaning they should beat Southampton. The atmosphere in the squad is very good following the cup success. On Saturday Liverpool won the FA Cup after beating Chelsea on penalties. But the Reds paid a big price as three key players suffered injuries - Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson were all forced off during the FA Cup final. That's not all as another key player was already sidelined - Fabinho suffered a hamstring injury against Aston Villa. And worst of all, the other players are tired after 120 minutes in the final. That is why the reserves are looking for an opportunity to start - FA Cup hero Kostas Tsimikas, Joe Gomez, Roberto Firmino and Curtis Jones.

Southampton vs Liverpool Prediction:

Liverpool are huge favorites and that's normal as second-placed team play against the 15th. Plus, Liverpool won 4:0 the reverse fixture. Nevertheless, I think Southampton won't lose high. There are three reasons for my pick. The first is connect with the injury situation. Klopp will be missing the injured quartet of Salah, Van Dijk, Fabinho and Robertson. The tiredness of the remaining Liverpool players is the second reason. They played 120 minutes in high rhythm against Chelsea on Saturday. Most of those players need a rest. Finally, Southampton manager Hasenhuttl is particularly motivated against his German counterpart. In January 2021 Southampton obtained a rare victory, winning 1:0. It was an emotional moment for Hasenhuttl as the Austrian coach fell to his knees and cried after the final whistle at St Mary. Hasenhuttl - who has been dubbed the 'Alpine Klopp' - later said that the wind made him cry. It is clear the clash against Klopp is very important for him for some reason.

Everton vs Crystal Palace Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Everton:
Pickford; Coleman, Holgate, Keane; Iwobi, Allan, Doucoure, Mykolenko; Gordon, Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison

Crystal Palace:
Guaita; Clyne, Andersen, Kouyate, Guehi, Mitchell; Gallagher, Milivojevic, Schlupp; Zaha, Mateta

Everton will try to secure a Premier League safety in their final home match of the season, against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park. The situation is very complicate, the Toffees have 36 points, two more than 18th-placed Burnley, while Leeds United are sandwiched between them with 37 points. It is important to be mentioned that Norwich and Watford are already relegated. Everton will try to collect three points from this game and that will guarantee the status regardless of the remaining results. However, it won't be easy as they are in poor form. The Toffee lost 3:2 to Brentford during the weekend, although had a 2:1 lead at halftime. All three goals were scored by Everton players, only Seamus Coleman found the back of the wrong net. Nevertheless, Everton had a lead after first 45 minutes thanks to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, but Jarrad Branthwaite's early red card made the things not so simple for Lampard's men. The second half was a real catastrophe as Brentford scored two goals and won 3:2. To be worse, Salomon Rondon was sent off and he must serve a suspension together with Branthwaite. Nathan Patterson, Andros Townsend, Fabian Delph and Yerry Mina remain sidelined due to injuries, while Donny van de Beek and Ben Godfrey could take a part in the crucial match.

Crystal Palace are sitting in the middle of the table with 45 points. Palace have won 10, drawn 15 and lost 11 matches in the Premier League. They have no ambitions in the last two rounds - far away from European spots, but also out of the relegation battle. The actual form is very good, two wins and one draw on the last three league matches. The Eagles managed to beat Watford and Southampton, while shared the points with Aston Villa. The away form is also good, Palace travel to Goodison Park having suffered just two defeats from their last nine Premier League matches on road. The atmosphere in the squad is positive, while the players confidence is high. Manager Patrick Vieira is doing a good job and the fans like him. The Frenchman will try to maintain the positive series, but the lack of motivation could be a problem. In addition, Vieira has some injury worries. He will be without key player Michael Olise due to a knock, while Nathan Ferguson remain long-term absentee. James McArthur is rated as doubtful due to a calf injury, but most probably he will be rested as the French manager has no reason to take unnecessary risks in the finish of the season. Vieira should continue with the usual eleven, but Schlupp is pushing for a starting spot.

Everton vs Crystal Palace Prediction:

Everton lost to Brentford on Sunday and they missed a golden opportunity to secure the status. However, Leeds and Burnley have both failed to win at the weekend as well, so Everton would secured the status with one win from the remaining two matches. A trip to Arsenal on the final day is more difficult, so this is a perfect opportunity. Supported by their fans, I expect to collect three points against unmotivated guests and to finish the job.
