Real Madrid are favorites in this match, but the situation in the club is far from ideal. First of all, Real were eliminated from the Champions League. They suffered a 5:1 aggregate defeat to Arsenal, something the fans are not used to. But another humiliation happened soon after, when Carlo Ancelotti's men lost to arch-rivals Barcelona in Copa del Rey final played in Sevilla. The match ended 2:2 after the regular 90 minutes. Pedri gave Barcelona a lead in the first half, but Kylian Mbappe, who came on as a substitute, equalized from a free-kick. Aurelien Tchouameni then headed Real ahead from Arda Guler's corner, but Barcelona levelled when Ferran Torres ran onto Yamal's long ball and rounded goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois before slotting in. When everybody were expecting penalties, Jules Kounde scored the winning goal. Three Real players - Antonio Rudiger, Lucas Vazquez and Jude Bellingham - were shown red cards after the final whistle for angrily confronting officials. Bellingham and Lucas Vazquez are available despite their red cards against Barcelona. Indeed, Bellingham's red card has been revoked, while Vazquez will serve his two-game suspension in next season's Copa del Rey. Rudiger, meanwhile, will miss the Sunday's fixture due to injury. Ferland Mendy, David Alaba, Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao are also out injured.
Celta Vigo are 7th with 46 points and they are fighting for Europe League. The current form isn't at desired level, one win and two defeats on the last three matches in La Liga. The defeat from Espanyol have no excuses, but the performance against Barcelona was impressive. Celta had 3:1 until the 64th minute, but conceded three goals and lost the match. Last week Celta finally recorded a victory when outplayed the Champions League-chasing Villarreal. Captain Iago Aspas, who came as substitute, scored a late penalty in the finish of the match for a final 3:0. The first two goals were netted by Fernardo Lopez and Borja Iglesias. The atmosphere in the squad is better now, while the players confidence is higher. Coach Claudio Giraldez is well aware Real are huge favorites, but he is definitely able to upset the hosts. He has just two injury worries ahead of this match - Carl Starfelt is definitely sidelined with a hamstring problem, while Jones El-Abdellaoui is rated as doubtful due to a thigh issue.

Coach Claudio Giraldez is well aware Real are huge favorites, but he is definitely able to upset the hosts. His men scored three goals against Barcelona at Camp Nou and this fact should be respected. Celta also played 1:1 against Atletico in Madrid. Real are without key defender Rudiger and that's another reason for my pick.
