Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur will open the round this weekend in the Premier League at Saturday lunchtime. Both teams suffered painful defeats last week and they will try to avoid another bad result ahead of the international break. The Wolves were favorites against Sheffield United, but newly-promoted side clinched their first top-flight win of the season at the 11th attempt. The Blades went ahead in the 72nd minute, but Jean-Ricner Bellegarde scored an 89th-minute equalizer, curling into the top corner. And just when everybody thought the points will be shared, Fabio Silva fouled George Baldock in the box and after a VAR check, Norwood converted from the spot in the 10th added minute. Wolves manager boss Gary O'Neil wasn't satisfied with the latest decision, but his side failed to impress. It is clear the absence of Pedro Neto is a huge handicap. Wolves missed his direct running and ability to create key chances. Neto will not return before the international break and O'Neil has no an adequate replacement. Joe Hodge and Hugo Bueno are also out injured.

Tottenham started the new season in fantastic way. They have registered 8 wins and 2 draws after the opening 10 rounds, but the unbeaten series came to their end last Monday. It was a catastrophe, the Spurs lost 1:4 to Chelsea. Mauricio Pochettino, who came to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time since his 2019 sacking, prepared his players for the challenge and upset his former employees. The Lilywhites suffered a painful defeat to Chelsea, but also lost four players. Two of them will serve suspensions - Udogie and Romero. The difference is Udogie will serve an one-game ban, while Romero will begin a three-match suspension, meaning he will sit out games with Aston Villa and Manchester City too. To be worse, Micky van de Ven suffered a serious hamstring injury, while James Maddison was withdrawn due to an ankle problem. The first will be sidelined, but Maddison could recover in time for this match. Five more players remain sidelined - Richarlison, Manor Solomon, Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon and Alfie Whiteman. Finally, Ben Davies is rated as doubtful with an ankle issue.

Wolverhampton vs Tottenham Prediction:

Tottenham have been beaten in two of their last three Premier League clashes with Wolverhampton, most recently going down at Molineux in March when they suffered a narrow 1:0 defeat. To be worse, Postecoglou have lot of injury and suspension worries. O'Neil will be missing Neto, but the Spurs handicap is much bigger. Finally, the home advantage should not be underestimated. The last three home results deserved a respect - Wolves managed to beat Manchester City and remain unbeaten against Aston Villa and Newcastle. I think they could upset Tottenham too.
