On 7/26/2026, I sent a long, detailed email to Trustpilot about a surge of suspicious reviews on SSC Entertainment casinos, among them Cocoa Casino, Davinci's Gold casino, ThisIsVegas casino, Paradise8 casino, New Vegas casino, Candyland Casino, and Avant Garde Casino. The email was the product of 2 days of work. I had copied all the reviews of the above casinos into a data file and used a Java program I wrote to analyze them. I provided both the data file and the program to Trustpilot to supplement my findings.
I analyzed the casinos individually and collectively. Since these casinos are all essentially the same company and had very similar review patterns, I gave analysis on the casinos as a single collective. I concluded the reviews should be grouped into three time periods:
prior to 12/9/2025: 142 total reviews
12/9/2025 to 3/31/2026: 6562 total reviews
4/1/2026 to 7/7/2026*: 100 total reviews
*end of data set
Reviews were uninvited.
It is my assertion that the overwhelming majority of reviews between 12/9/2025 and 3/31/2026 are illegitimate, uninduced reviews and that, before then, essentially all were legitimate. After 3/31/2026, it is unclear.
The issue extends beyond a sudden explosion of reviews in a 4-month period that plummeted shortly afterwards. The distribution of reviews within those 4 months is suspicious.
Reviews Posted by Day 1/9/2026 to 3/26/2026:
Fridays: 3637 reviews
Saturdays: 1297 reviews
Sundays: 573 reviews
Mondays: 413 reviews
Tuesdays: 186 reviews
Wednesdays: 112 reviews
Thursdays: 101 reviews
I've examined reviews of other companies. The above results are not a quirk of Trustpilot's weekly publishing schedule.
The average rating of SSC's casinos varied drastically during the three time periods:
prior to 12/9/2025 (142 reviews): average rating - 1.42 1-star frequency: 85.2% 5-star frequency: 6.3%
12/9/2025 to 3/31/2026 (6562 reviews): average rating - 4.59 1-star frequency: 2.1% 5-star frequency: 72.9%
4/1/2026 to 7/7/2026 (100 reviews): average rating - 3.15 1-star frequency: 36% 5-star frequency: 38%
Let's profile the reviewers themselves during these three time periods. My theory coming in was that my allegedly fake reviewers would have fewer other reviews, and that their reviews would be shorter. Even after adjusting for the fact that positive reviews are not as long, the character lengths were suspicious.
prior to 12/9/2025 (142 reviews): % of reviewers with 10+ other reviews: 24.6% average # of characters in review: 493.7
12/9/2025 to 3/31/2026 (6562 reviews): % of reviewers with 10+ other reviews: 4.6% average # of characters in review: 90.5
4/1/2026 to 7/7/2026 (100 reviews): % of reviewers with 10+ other reviews: 8% average # of characters: 222.7
I personally read a lot of the reviews. Within the allegedly fake group, most comments were variations on a couple of assertions: great games, free chips, good promotions, easy deposits, easy to navigate. However, SSC utilizes games from the same general pool of licensed software most of their competitors use. Likewise their promotions, free chips, navigation, and payment processing are pretty standard. In reviews of comparable casinos I compiled in my data file and outside the second time period, there were noticeably fewer comments on the subjects mentioned.
There's also a consistent lack of specificity in SSC reviews between 12/9/2025 and 3/31/2026. Most comments were sufficiently vague that, if they were audited, an auditor wouldn't be able to prove they were fake. The comments were opinions, and few specific transactions were mentioned that could be confirmed to have existed or not existed.
There's no correlation within the allegedly fake group with the feedback on the casinos everywhere else on the internet. The feedback elsewhere is terrible, and there has been no corresponding uptick in volume.
I provided Trustpilot a lot more evidence beyond what I provided here. I've been pestering them about this for months even before I sent that email on 7/26/2026. Thus far, they've opted to do very little. No explanation given. Officially, they are still investigating the issue, but I have seen them drag their feet only to nothing elsewhere.
To be brutally honest, I've read hundreds of Trustpilot reviews of different gambling companies. Many of those companies I have a good deal of experience with. For someone with my vantage point, forgive me for saying that there seem to be very systemic flaws in how Trustpilot aggregates ratings, and that there are serious failures in quality control beyond the incident I am reporting. I'd elaborate, but I do not want to bloat this post any further at the moment.
