I expect this match to be a close one.
Both players had great wins during this tournament. Yesterday Kohlschreiber gave no chance to top seed Marin Cilic beating him in straigth sets by 6-4 6-1. Before this match he defeated Thomas Fabbiano and Michael Berrer without droping a single set or a game on his serve as well. He's been absolutely fantastic on serve this week. In this tournamente he averaged 62% of first serves in, winning 81% of the points on them. He managed to save all the break points as well (8 on 3 matches).
On the other hand, Simon struggled a bit against Malisse and Igor Sijsling winning those in three sets. He's the market favourite mostly because of their match at the Us Open this month (Simon won it in five) because he's playing at home, remember that Simon has a 5-1 record while playing in France this year and there is no doubt about his will of reaching tomorow's final.
I'm a bit relecutant about this match but, since I expect a close one, I'm probably going to wait for a break and get some value of that situation.* This could seem trickier but reversing my scalping on serve strategy* while Kohlschreiber is serving laying Simon is also a good idea if the german keeps serving well. I think those are the safest approaches to this game but if i had to choose a riskier but profitable thing to do in this match my choice would be backing Simon from the start.*
I don't recomend trading on the second set if Kohlschreiber won the first.
