Euro first match France v Romania, (Friday 10 June). I think France will win.

It is easy to go with the favorite, but Romania are a very good team. I think nothing is decided and it will be a real battle.

The new qualification structure with the 4 best 3rd place teams going through could put a dampner on the group stages. They are encouraging the weaker teams to 'be the least worst' and I think this is going to translate to teams trying to grind out low scoring draws. Brace yourself for some boring group matches, but hopefully offset with the weaker teams getting smashed 5-0 in the knock outs!

I think France will win this. Romania will shut up shop, but France will crack them and squeeze a second in when Romania are forced to come out of the six yard box.
