Leyton Orient vs Tottenham Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Leyton Orient:
Vigouroux; Thomas, Turley, Coulson, Widdowson; McAnuff, Wright; Dennis, Maguire-Drew, Sotiriou; Angol

Tottenham:
Hart; Aurier, Alderweireld, Foyth, Cirkin; Gedson, Sissoko; Lamela, Dele Alli, Sessegnon; Bergwijn

Leyton Orient will host Tottenham at The H2T Group Stadium as they will look to secure a place in the fourth round of the EFL Cup. The hosts play in League Two and have already eliminated two sides in the previous stage of the competition. First they beat Forest Green with 2:1, while then won 3:2 against Plymouth. Danny Johnson and Conor Wilkinson were scorers in the first round, while Louis Dennis, Jobi McAnuff and Danny Johnson netted in the second. The league results are solid too. In the first round Leyton beat Oldham with 1:0 thanks to Johnson's goal in the finish, while last weekend shared the points with Mansfield. Once again Danny Johnson found the back of the net, while the second goal was scored by Ruel Sotiriou. As You could see, Johnson is in excellent form as he scored on all official games in the new season. But manager Ross Embleton could start without him on this match. According to the latest news, Lee Angol will be handed the striking role. I must admit I am very surprised with the decision.

Tottenham will enter the match on the back of a high victory over Southampton in the Premier League. The Spurs were fantastic and won 5:2 at St Mary. Son Heung-min was "Man of Match" after scored four goals, while Harry Kane should also be mentioned - he scored the remaining one and assisted the previous four. This was a morale-boosting victory that also improved the atmosphere in the squad. Previously Tottenham have eliminated Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the qualifications for Europa League. The Spurs were one goal down until the 80th minute, but Kane and Ndombele turned out the result and secured progress. In the next round of this competition Tottenham travel to North Macedonia where they should face Shkendija. This match will come on Thursday, just two days after the clash with Leyton Orient. Don't forget the Spurs faced Southampton on Sunday. According to me, this is too much. Mourinho has to rotate heavily due to a busy schedule. Here is the list:

17.09.2020. Lokomotiv Plovdiv (BUL) vs Tottenham 1:2 - Europa League - Qualification
20.09.2020. Southampton vs Tottenham 2:5 - Premier League
22.09.2020. Leyton Orient vs Tottenham - EFL Cup
24.09.2020. Shkendija (MKD) vs Tottenham - Europa League - Qualification
27.09.2020. Tottenham vs Newcastle - Premier League

To be worse, Japhet Tanganga is sidelined due to a thigh injury, while new signing Gareth Bale is out for at least two weeks with a knee injury. Finally, Dele Alli is close to sign for PSG after he had misunderstandings with the boss.

Leyton Orient vs Tottenham Prediction:

I don't think Tottenham will win high. The reason is connect with the busy schedule. As You could see above, Tottenham have 5 matches in just 10 days. That includes two long trips to Bulgaria and North Macedonia. It is natural Mourinho to rest his regulars from this match, so I see chance for the hosts to upset the favorites.

Leyton Orient vs Tottenham Pick:
Leyton Orient +2.0 AH @ 1.98 with Pinnacle

Leicester City vs Arsenal Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Leicester City:
Ward; Justin, Morgan, Soyuncu, Thomas; Choudhury, Mendy; Gray, Maddison, Albrighton; Iheanacho

Arsenal:
Macey; Cedric, Saliba, Luiz, Holding, Kolasinac; Elneny, Guendouzi; Pepe, Nketiah, Saka

Leicester City will host Arsenal in the all-Premier League clash of the EFL Cup third-round tie at the King Power Stadium. The winners of this fixture will probably face Liverpool next week for a place in the quarter-finals. However, this should be an interesting and efficient match. Leicester started the new season in best possible way. First the beat West Bromwich with 3:0. Jamie Vardy was double scorer (both goals came from penalty kicks), while Timothy Castagne also put his name on the scoring list. In the second round they won 4:2 against Burnley. Harvey Barnes, Erik Pieters' own goal, James Justin and Dennis Praet's superb 20-yard strike into the top-right corner were enough for Brendon Rodgers' side to occupy the top position on the table, for the first time since they were champions in 2015/16 season. The fans start to dream again, but it is too early for any conclusions. However, the atmosphere in the squad is excellent, while the players confidence is high. Rodgers has the majority of his players available, but Jonny Evans remain out injured. The best scorer Vardy could be rested and that's an opportunity for Kelechi Iheanacho. He is some kind of cup specialist having been involved in 11 goals in 14 EFL Cup appearances for the Foxes. The club have confirmed the arrival of Cengiz Under from Roma and I believe he could make his debut, at least as a substitute.

Arsenal also started the new season with two victories. The Gunners first beat Fulham at Craven Cottage with 3:0. The new acquisition Willian was a key figure in the match as he assisted all three goals. Alexandre Lacazette scored the opener, centre-back Gabriel doubled the lead, while the captain Pierre-Emerick Aubamayeng set the final 3:0 in the 57th minute. It is important to be mentioned that he signed a new three-year deal with the club. That was an excellent news for everybody in the club. In the second round Arsenal won 2:1 against city rivals West Ham thanks to a late Eddie Nketiah's goal. Previously Lacazette netted his second league goal. I will also mention that Arsenal have already won a trophy this season, beating Liverpool on penalties in the FA Community Shield. Interesting to mention, the Gunners will visit the Premier League champions next weekend at Anfield. It will be a genuine test for Mikel Arteta's men to show how good they are. I believe some of the key players, like Aubamayeng and Lacazette, will be saved for the upcoming derby. Nevertheless, Arteta has enough quality players in reserve. Mesut Ozil was not been part of the team for the first two matches of the season and should start here. Nicolas Pepe, Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah are also ready to impress. At the end I will mention that Arsenal signed Dijon goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson. Arteta should decide between him and Matt Macey for this match.

Leicester City vs Arsenal Prediction:

I expect goals from both teams. Leicester play an open football and they are very efficient. The Foxes have netted 7 goals in two league matches. Arsenal are also efficient, scoring 5 goals. Both teams failed to keep clean sheet this weekend, so this is another reason for my pick. I believe this will be an efficient match.

Lincoln City vs Liverpool Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Lincoln City:
Palmer; Eyoma, Montsma, Jackson, Melbourne; Bridcutt, McGrandles, Jones; Anderson, Hopper, Grant

Liverpool:
Adrian; Williams, Phillips, Van den Berg, Tsimikas; Milner, Thiago, Jones; Minamino, Origi, Jota

Lincoln City will host the champions Liverpool in the third round's tie of EFL Cup at the LNER Stadium. The Reds are huge favorites, though the hosts will not give up easily. After all, the surprises are not impossible in cup competitions in England. So far Lincoln have eliminated Crewe (2:1) and Bradford City (5:0) in the previous stages of the EFL Cup. Tom Hopper and Lewis Montsma were scorers in the first round, while Anthony Scully, Lewis Montsma, James Jones, Callum Morton netted against Bradford, plus an own-goal from one of the opponents' players. The league results are also good, Lincoln have a maximal effect after the first two rounds. They beat Oxford with 2:0 (Anthony Scully and Adam Jackson found the back of the net) and MK Dons with 2:1 (Jorge Grant and Tom Hopper). The atmosphere in the squad is good, while the players confidence is high. Manager Michael Appleton will surely find a way to motivate them in what could be a once-in-a-career opportunity for many of them. He has some good news as captain Liam Bridcutt has recovered from a hamstring injury and should start here. Harry Anderson and Joe Walsh are also back from injuries and they are both available.

Liverpool started the new Premier League season in best possible way. First the beat Leeds United with 4:3 thanks to Mohamed Salah's hat-trick. In the second round the Reds beat Chelsea at Stanford Bridge with 2:0. This time Sadio Mane was the key name as he scored both goals. Goalkeeper Allison should also be mentioned for the saved penalty. However, this match is something different, it is already elaborated that Klopp doesn't like too much the domestic cup competitions. The reigning champions have a Premier League showdown at home to Arsenal on Monday night and Klopp will rotate heavily. That means many of the key player may not feature. In fact, it's very likely that it will be a completely different squad to the one which started on Sunday. The only exception is new signing Thiago Alcantara as Klopp may give him starting place in order to integrate him into the team. Diogo Jota should make his debut after came from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a deal which could rise to £45m. The midfield and attack are still respectable as include the likes of James Milner, Thiago Alcantara and Curtis Jones, as well as Divock Origi, Takumi Minamino and Diogo Jota. Xherdan Shaqiri will also be looking for a place after recovering from a muscle injury. What is questionable, it is the defense. Adrian should replace Allison on the goal, while none of the back four that played against Chelsea will not feature here. At the end I will mention that Joel Matip and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remain sidelined due to injuries..

Lincoln City vs Liverpool Prediction:

As I wrote above, Klopp doesn't look too interested for the EFL Cup. In two of the last three seasons Liverpool were knocked out of the competition at this very stage. It is expected Klopp to rest his regulars from this match. Lincoln players are full of confidence after they won all four competitive matches this season. I think they are able to score in this match.
