After successive victories in Serie A, Roma's pursuit of silver continues. They will face Vitesse Arnhem in the first leg of the Europa Conference League.
Vitesse Arnhem
Arnhem finished second in group G in the fall after Rennes, when they got an impressive 10 points - the highlight of which was undoubtedly the 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at home. Despite losing 2-1 to Rapid Wien in Austria, the team won 2-0 at home and finally advanced to the last-16. The team have won six of the last nine home games.
AS Roma
Although the amazing result of losing 6-1 to Bodo/Glimt in the first round of the group stage, Rome finally replaced the Norwegian champion at the top of group C and reached the top 16. Scoring 18 goals - the most of all teams in the group stage. After beating Atlanta at the weekend, Mourinho's side returned to the league top-four, and they have won eight of the last 11 European away games.
Prediction
Rome have recently managed to achieve a series of positive results - ready for a successful return to Europe. There is no doubt that Vitesse are not outstanding in their current state. The huge gap in personal quality will begin to appear - bringing several opportunities for visitors.
