The new champions Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat opts out to being members of the US Olympic Basketball Team in London.

The main reason is their injuries. They need to rest and work out on their injuries this post season. For Wade, it's the problem with his knees. He will undergo same knee surgery as Bryant did before. And for Bosh, his abdominal injury that brought him sitting in the bench for most of the playoffs. Thankfully he got back in the semis and finals to win the crown.

Personally I think it's a good move for their careers. They have to take advantage of the post season in order to defend their title in the next season. And, we all know that the US Basketball has a huge roster of talented and younger players that can blend well with the veterans. No Bosh and Wade in the Olympics, no problem for me. But, the team shouldn't look down on other stable teams like Spain, Germany and France. The main goal of international teams is to beat the US.

Olympics, and international competitions should always been an afterthought. The NBA, or Miami Heat signs their checks, and if they need the rehab time so they are good to go come October, or training camp, they should take it.

Good move on their behalf.
