Netherlands vs Germany Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Netherlands:
Verbruggen; Dumfries, De Ligt, Van Dijk, Ake; Schouten, Gravenberch, Reijnders; Simons, Gakpo; Zirkzee

Germany:
Ter Stegen; Kimmich, Schlotterbeck, Tah, Mittelstadt; Andrich, Pavlovic; Musiala, Havertz, Wirtz; Fullkrug

Netherlands will welcome Germany to Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam as both national teams are battling out for top spot in Group 3. The Dutch team were excellent in the first round when they beat Bosnia with 5:2. Joshua Zirkzee scored on his first start for the national team to give the hosts a 13th-minute lead, but the Bosnians equalized 14 minutes later through Ermedin Demirovic. Tijjani Reijnders restored the home side’s lead on the stroke of half-time and Cody Gakpo made it 3:1 eleven minutes into the second half. The veteran striker Edin Dzeko pulled one back in the 73rd minute, but that was everything the guests did. The final result was 5:2 after Wout Weghorst and Xavi Simons scored in the closing stages of the match. I believe the atmosphere in the squad is good, while the players confidence is high. Coach Ronald Koeman has some unavailable players as Micky van de Ven and Joey Veerman are injured, while Steven Bergwijn is omitted following his decision to play in the Saudi Pro League.

Germany were also efficient in the first round. They had stronger opponents in Hungary, but won 5:0 in Duesseldorf. The five-goal margin was the heaviest defeat of the Hungarian coach Marco Rossi. At the same time, Julian Nagelsmann enjoyed the evening. Some of the experts saw big issues for the 37-year-old Bundestrainer knowing the withdrawal of four most influential stars - Thomas Muller, Manuel Neuer, İlkay Gundogan, and Toni Kroos. Nevertheless, the new-Germany were fantastic and scored five goals. Niclas Fullkrug finished off a nice passing move to open the scoring in the 27th minute, while Jamal Musiala made it 2:0 after 58 minutes. Moments later, Florian Wirtz found it too easy to get his shot away and scored the third goal of the evening. The fourth Germany goal was also a debut goal for Aleksandar Pavlovic in the 77th minute, while few minutes later Kai Havertz rounded off the scoring with a penalty. The players confidence is very high and they will try to secure another victory. Most of the players are ready, only Leroy Sane is out injured. Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger could start from the bench.

Netherlands vs Germany Prediction:

Netherlands were excellent in the first round when they beat Bosnia with 5:2. Germany, meanwhile, won 5:0 against Hungary. The players confidence is high in both squads, so I expect an efficient encounter in Amsterdam. I expect both teams to score.
