Eintracht Frankfurt vs Salzburg Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Eintracht Frankfurt:
Trapp, Toure, Abraham, Hasebe, N'Dicka, Chandler, Sow, Rode, Kostic, Kamada, Dost

Salzburg:
Stankovic, Farkas, Onguene, Wober, Ulmer, Ashimeru, Junuzovic, Szoboszlai, Okugawa, Daka, Hwang

Eintracht Frankfurt will host Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg at the Commerzbank Arena. This fixture should be one of the most exciting in Round of 32. The German outfit finished as second in their group that also consisted Arsenal, Standard Liege and Vitoria Guimaraes. The Eagles played open and attractive football and they had a record of three victories and three defeats in the group. Daichi Kamada, Filip Kostic and Goncalo Paciencia are club's top scorers in this season's Europa League. The actual domestic form is mixed, one win, one draw and one defeat in the last three rounds. Eintracht won 5:0 against Augsburg, shared the points with Fortuna Dusseldorf (1:1), while lost 4:0 to Borussia Dortmund last Friday. In the meantime they progressed in DFB Pokal by beating Leipzig with 3:1. Timothy Chandler play in excellent form and he is able to make a difference. He has scored four goals in as many matches, before last Friday's heavy defeat in Dortmund. The atmosphere in the squad isn't at highest level, though the players should be fully motivated here. They have a valuable experience from the last season. As You probably know, Frankfurt managed to eliminate three big names last year (Shakhtar Donetsk, Inter and Benfica), before they were beaten on penalties in the semi-final by eventual winners Chelsea. Coach Adi Hutter has three unavailable players for this match - Gelson Fernandes, Martin Hinteregger and Marco Russ.

Salzburg secured Europe League knock-out stage after finishing third in a Champions League group that included Liverpool, Napoli and Genk. The Austrian champions claimed two victories in six matches, but that wasn't enough for 'Top 2' finish. One thing is important to be mentioned, they were much stronger in that period. The January transfer window saw them losing two key players as Takumi Minamino joined Liverpool and Erling Haaland signed for Borussia Dortmund. It is clear they are much weaker now, though they still have good players, like top scorer Patson Daka for example. He will probably lead the line on this match. The departure of the mentioned two players resulted with poorer results in the second part of domestic Bundesliga. Salzburg suffered a 3:2 defeat to LASK Linz last Friday. It was their first Austrian Bundesliga loss of the season. They dropped to the second place, one point behind LASK. The defeat could have a negative impact to the players confidence ahead of the European campaign. The additional problem is they have played just two competitive games since mid-December due to the winter break, so Salzburg will need to find their form again quickly. It's positive they are experienced side in this competition, playing in the Europa League for the seventh straight season. The Austrians made it through to the Round of 16 last season and the semifinals two seasons ago. Coach Jesse Marsch has some injury issues ahead of this match as Alexander Walke, Antoine Bernede and Youba Diarra are all struggling with injuries.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Salzburg Prediction:

Frankfurt play at home and I am sure they will go for victory. That means an offensive approach from Adi Hütter's men. Salzburg, meanwhile, are considered as one of the most exciting teams in Europe and often produce high scoring encounters. I expect an efficient match with at least three goals.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Salzburg Pick: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.57 with 1xBet
