Tonight's game is probably one of the most crucial in the modern history of Arsenal Football Club. Protecting a 1-0 lead, Arsenal must navigate a second leg away from home against a top quality Udinese side in order to reach the group stage of the Champions League.

Failure to qualify for the Champions League would be catastrophic for Arsenal, the lost revenue as well as the effect of no longer having the top European competition to entice new signings would mean that making the badly needed additions before next week's transfer deadline would become even more unlikely.
