The Top 5 European football leagues have been suspended until April after more and more players and club officials tested positive for the coronavirus. In England, Arsenal and Chelsea announced their players would self-isolate after manager Mikel Arterta and Callum Hudson-Odoi tested positive. Everton, Watford and Bournemouth decided to do the same after some players showed symptoms of the illness. Spain La Liga, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A and French Ligue 1 also postponed their competitions, while UEFA will discuss about the upcoming continental tournament. Nevertheless, some countries decide to continue playing football, like Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Serbia, Brazil, Argentina etc. Almost all matches were played behind the closed doors.

Goztepe welcomes Rizespor in the last match of Round 26 in Turkish SuperLig. The hosts are on the 8th position and it seems the season have finished for them. Goztepe are out of the relegation battle, but at the same time they are huge 15 points away from the last European spot. Maybe the lack of motivation is the main reason for the last poor results. Ersan Parlatan's men have lost the last three league matches. The series started with a 1:0 defeat at Kayserispor, continued with a home 3:0 loss to Istanbul Basaksehir, while last week they suffered a 2:0 defeat from Kasimpasa. As You could see, Goztepe failed to score a single goal on the mentioned three matches. To be worse, coach Parlatan will be missing the best scorer Serdar Gurler through injury. His absence is a big handicap.

Rizespor are in the drop zone, on the 16th place. They are deeply involved into the relegation battle and the situation is critical. Nevertheless, a positive result here could see them out of the bottom three. I believe the players will fully motivated enter the match. But their form is poor, they have five defeats on the last six matches in SuperLig. The only draw came against Alanyaspor two rounds ago. It is clear the atmosphere in the squad is far from desired, while the players confidence is low. To be worse, coach Unal Karaman has two suspended players - Mykola Morozyuk was sent off against Ankaragucu after saw two yellow cards in just two minutes, while Ismael Diomande is banned due to accumulated yellow cards. The absence of the mentioned duo is a big handicap as they are regulars.

Goztepe vs Rizespor Prediction:

I expect a low scoring match in Izmir. The match will be played behind closed doors and that's the first reason for my pick. The second reason is connect with the actual form of both teams. Goztepe are in series of three defeats, while Rizespor have five defeats on the last six matches in SuperLig.
