These two sit 4th and 5th , both would go third in the table with a win and as they hold a ten and nine point lead over the team in 6th, you can make a case for both having little to lose and going all out for maximum points. The hosts entertain title favourites Celtic at the weekend, so will surely be looking for the cushion that a win tonight would give them, they are fast starters, only leaders Aberdeen are stronger before the break and they are 6-2-1 here in the first half and an SPL best 8-2 (goals scored -conceded) in the first 30 minutes at home.United's last ten games in all comps have averaged 3.6 goals and there was plenty of action early in the reverse fixture, which ended 2-2 with all four goals coming before the break. It was also a little feisty, with a red card for each inside 40 minutes.

This will be the hosts first start since they lost boss Alex Neil who has taken charge at Norwich City, the player manager was an infleunce on and off the pitch and will be a significant loss, defender Martin Canning will take charge of the team and looks set to leave himself out of the starting eleven which will weaken them. United remain without central defender Callum Morris, they have conceded at least two goals in the four matches in which he has played less than 8 minutes and in the last two, there have been eight goals ( 3 and 5 respectively) before the break. Given that, how the previous meeting played out, the uncertainty over how the loss of Neil will affect Hamilton , it is easy to see early action.

1 unit "over" 1.25 first half goals 2.38 asian line/Sportmarket.
