Crystal Palace vs Manchester City Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Crystal Palace:
Guaita, Ward, Dann, Kouyate, Aanholt, Ayew, Riedewald, Milivojevic, Eze, Benteke, Zaha

Manchester City:
Ederson, Cancelo, Laporte, Garcia, Ake, Fernandinho, Rodrigo, Bernardo Silva, Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Aguero

Crystal Palace host the league leaders Manchester City at Selhurst Park at Saturday lunchtime. The Eagles are safe in the middle of the table. They have 38 points, eleven more than the first team into the relegation zone. In addition, Palace have a match in hand. The actual form isn't at desired level, they come into the clash having won just one of their last seven encounters. To be worse, they suffered a 2:1 defeat away to Leicester City in their most recent outing. Wilfried Zaha put the Eagles ahead after just 12 minutes, with a first-time finish following a fine through ball from Eberechi Eze. The later is now joint-top assistant in the competition this season among Crystal Palace players with four assist, same as Andros Townsend. But Timothy Castagne and Kelechi Iheanacho helped Leicester to come from behind and that meant a 14th defeat for Palace in the current season. The fans are just counting down the days until the season ends and Roy Hodgson finally leave the club. Of course, there's no guarantee that’s going to happen. Right now the players seems to be unmotivated, while some of them are looking for new club. Hodgson has big injury issues ahead of this match as seven players are struggling with injuries. Mamadou Sakho, James Tomkins, Wayne Hennessey and Nathan Ferguson are definitely sidelined, while three more are rated as doubtful - Gary Cahill, Connor Wickham and James McArthur.

Manchester City's title charge was strengthened with an away win against Aston Villa, and their lead at the top is 10 points after second-placed Manchester United played just a goalless draw with Leeds. Guardiola's men head into the match having won four of the last five Premier League games, plus they beat Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final. It was a very important victory that bring City closer to the final. They felt behind after 15 minutes when Marquinhos scored after corner, but dominated in the second half and turned the result. First they equalized in the 64th minute when Kevin de Bruyne's menacing cross evaded everyone in the penalty area and drifted beyond confused and motionless Kaylor Navas.. Riyad Mahrez scored the second in the 71st minute when his left-foot free-kick went through the wall. The atmosphere in the squad is excellent, while the players confidence is high. Man City already secured League Cup trophy last weekend and they are on the way to the treble. City require just two more victories to secure the title, third in the last four years. However, there’s a chance they could become champions even this weekend if results go their way. A defeat for Manchester United against Liverpool on Sunday, combined with City win at Selhurst Park, could see them crowned champions. Pep has almost all players available, only John Stones is out suspended. Kevin De Bruyne should be rested, as well as Ilkay Gundogan as both are nursing injuries. Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero will probably start from the first minute.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City Prediction:

City won the reverse fixture at the Etihad Stadium with 4:0. John Stones scored a brace, while Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling also found the back of the net. I expect another high scoring encounter. Guardiola will rest some of his key players, but key strikers Aguero and Gabriel Jesus were at the bench against PSG. Crystal Palace are not in the best form, but they are definitely able to score. I will remind You they netted in the defeats against Chelsea and Leicester in the last two rounds. Over 2.5 goals looks guaranteed if they score.

Manchester United vs Liverpool Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Manchester United:
Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Rashford, Fernandes, Pogba; Cavani

Liverpool:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Kabak, Robertson; Thiago, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane; Jota

I will write once again about the rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool, definitely one of the biggest in Europe. The clubs are the two most successful teams in England with 66 trophies for Manchester United and 64 trophies for Liverpool. The Reds dominated English football from 1975 to 1990, winning 11 league titles and 4 European Cups. Manchester United, meanwhile, have dominated during Ferguson's era, from 1993. In that period the Red Devils won 13 league championships and 2 European Cups. United could win one trophy more as they will play UEFA Europe League final (beat Roma with 6:2 in the first leg), while Liverpool had a poor season. However, the tradition is on Manchester side. The two sides have met 206 times with United winning 81 of them, while Liverpool have 67 victories and 58 matches finished without winner. Counting only the league games, United have 68 wins, while Liverpool 57. The points were shared on the remaining 50 mutual games, with 0:0 as the most common outcome (20 times). The reverse fixture played in January also ended with a goalless draw. That was the first derby without the fans.

Manchester United are in excellent form at the moment. They are unbeaten on the last 13 Premier League matches, winning seven of them. United sit on the second place, but without realistic chance to fight for the title as league-leaders Manchester City have a 10-points advantage and their success is a formality at this stage. Something else is important to be mentioned. The home form is very good, they beat the last four opponents at Old Trafford- Newcastle, West Ham, Brighton and Burnley. In addition, the Red Devils were fantastic in Europa. They destroyed Roma and almost secured final after the high 6:2 win on Thursday. Bruno Fernandes and Edinson Cavani both scored twice, while Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood also found the back of the net. The players confidence is very high and Solskjaer will try to use the momentum for another victory. He has the majority of his players available, only Anthony Martial and long-term absentee Phil Jones are sidelined. Some changes are expected, starting from keeper's position - Dean Henderson should replace David de Gea. It will be wise some of the key players to be rested, but I believe Cavani, Pogba, Rashford and Bruno will not want to miss this game.

Liverpool are in very complicated situation. The Reds were on the first place for Christmas, while now have only theoretical chances to secure Champions League spot. The Reds dropped another two points last weekend, playing only an 1:1 draw with Newcastle at Anfield. Mohamed Salah's goal in the third minute appeared to have put them on track for a victory. But despite dominating, Liverpool were unable to finish the game off and conceded a last-minute equalizer. It is clear Liverpool are struggling at home and the absence of fans perhaps play a part. The Reds have lost six times at Anfield in the Premier League this season. Overall, they have collected only 27 points in home, while dropped 24. According to many pundits, Liverpool are awful in 2021 and don't deserve to play in top European competition. I strongly disagree as there is a reason for poor results - the injury situation. As You probably know, all three central defenders - Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip suffered severe injuries and missed the majority of the season. This is an enormous handicap and Klopp was forced to improvise. He has used almost 20 different centre back pairings and that's a big problem. Only Salah, Firmino and Mane weren't in combination. Klopp has additional worries ahead of this match as captain Jordan Henderson and Divock Origi are out injured, while Nat Phillips is rated as doubtful with a hamstring issue.

Manchester United vs Liverpool Prediction:

Liverpool have not won at Old Trafford since 2014, having drawn four and lost four of their past eight matches there. I don't expect anything to be changed now. Manchester United are in better form and the players confidence is on their side. They have scored six against Roma and I can't see a way Liverpool defense to stop them.

Newcastle United vs Arsenal Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Newcastle United:
Dubravka; Fernandez, Clark, Dummett; Murphy, Shelvey, Longstaff, Ritchie; Almiron, Saint-Maximin; Wilson

Arsenal:
Ryan; Bellerin, Luiz, Gabriel, Cedric; Elneny, Ceballos; Willian, Smith-Rowe, Martinelli; Aubameyang

Newcastle United welcome Arsenal at St James Park on Sunday. The Magpies are on the 16th place with 36 points. Just two places separate them from the relegation zone, though the situation isn't critical as the gap with 18th-placed Fulham is 9 points, with five matches to go. The actual form is good, they have two wins and one draw on the last three matches. Newcastle beat Burnley and West Ham, while shared the points with Liverpool at Anfield. Steve Bruce's men have secured a 2:1 win at Turf Moor and a 3:2 win against West Ham, while played an 1:1 draw at Anfield. The key player on the first two occasions was Allan Saint-Maximin, while Joe Willock was the hero against the Reds. He scored a dramatic 95th-minute equalizer to secure a point for his team. Previously Callum Wilson scored a goal that was ruled out for handball. The atmosphere in the squad is very good. But Bruce has some injury worries ahead of this match. Ryan Fraser, Karl Darlow, Isaac Hayden and Jamaal Lascelles are all out injured for the rest of the season. Saint-Maximin, who's struggling with an ankle problem, is rated as doubtful. Defender Fabian Schar, who's recovering from knee operation, has played 45 minutes in a reserve match during the week. The Swiss international is looking for fitness ahead of Euro 2020 this summer, but this match comes too soon for him. Finally, last weekend's hero Joe Willock is ineligible to face his parent club.

Arsenal are in the middle of the table, on the 10th place with 46 points. The Gunners have no objectives in the finish of the season, they are far away from the European spots. Of course, they are not involved into the relegation battle. Arsenal are in poor form at the moment, they have two defeats on the last two matches across all competitions. First they lost 1:0 to Everton in the Premier League. To be worse, the defeat came at the Emirats. On Thursday they visited Villarreal in the semifinal of Europa League. The Spanish outfit won, but the result was acceptable for Arsenal as they lost "only" 2:1. With the Gunners trailing 2:0 and a man down following Dani Ceballos' sending off, Pepe's goal from the penalty was extremely important. That goal gave Arteta renewed hope of reaching the Europa League final despite a first-leg loss at La Ceramica. Arteta has David Luiz available, as well as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has recovered from malaria. Both may start here in order to gain crucial match fitness for Thursday's clash with Villarreal. Alexandre Lacazette and Kieran Tierney are close to returning from hamstring and knee injury respectively, but both are likely to be kept for the match against the Yellow Submarine. Ceballos can't play against Villarreal due to suspension, meaning he should start in this match. Having on mind the key players may be rested for the upcoming match in Europa, Matthew Ryan, Gabriel, Cedric, Mohamed Elneny, Gabriel Martinelli and Willian may also be included in the starting eleven.

Newcastle United vs Arsenal Prediction:

Newcastle are in good form, they have just one defeat in the last eight Premier League matches. The players confidence is high and they will try to register another success here. Arsenal will play the second-leg match against Villarreal on Thursday and I am sure Arteta is fully focused on that match. Most of the key players will be rested, so I think Newcastle will take advantage from that fact. The Magpies will not lose the match.
